The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) star Heather Dubrow’s daughter Max Dubrow faced a difficult time adjusting to college life at Tufts University.
Heather shared how difficult it was for her and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, when they sent their twin siblings, Max and Nick, off to college at the start of RHOC Season 17.

Heather revealed to The Daily Dish that she has decided to make a last-minute trip to Boston, where Max now resides, for her studies.
She presented a card to her fellow RHOC castmates, asking them to sign it as a gesture of encouragement for Max.
The reality TV star revealed that her daughter, Max, had historically dealt with anxiety, and now that she was attending college far from home, the anxiety had intensified.
She said, “Max and Nicky are off to college, and Max, historically, has had issues with anxiety. And she’s going really far from home, and it’s a lot.”
Max also expressed her thoughts about the transition in a recent interview with The Daily Dish. She acknowledged that leaving home and family was difficult for any student entering college.
The anxiety Max had experienced throughout her life was amplified by the distance and the realization of the gravity of the situation.

She said, “I think at first it was a lot of adrenaline, you know? You’re moving to a new place — I moved into a dorm — meet a bunch of new people, and I think it was fine at first.”

She said, “Like, at certain times, I would even be excited to go back to school rather than be at home ’cause I had my own dorm.”
Reflecting on her freshman year, Max admitted that it had been an immensely challenging journey stating, “It was definitely very, very difficult and scary as hell, but I think it’s the best thing I could’ve done for myself, especially having anxiety.”
However, she realized that stepping out of her comfort zone and taking this significant step forward was the best decision she could have made for herself, particularly considering her struggles with anxiety.
