Vinnie Hacker Spotted Using Hinge amid Alleged Relationship with Girlfriend Julia Ernst
Vinnie Hacker is looking for a girlfriend it seems.
For quite some time, it was rumored that Vinnie Hacker dating his girlfriend Julia Ernst.
However, Hacker was recently found active on Hinge, the dating app. His profile was verified and it looked like his photos were also recent ones.
Someone matched with him on the dating app, and the duo shared their hellos. The woman who matched with Hacker shared the screenshot of their texts, which soon went viral.
A popular Instagram page, THETEATALK, shared the screenshot and noted that Hacker was not being the womanizer rumors anytime soon. Netizens started commenting that maybe the account might have been a catfish one.
A person commented, “Can’t anyone just pretend to be him though…??” and another penned, “I don’t wanna assume but it could also be someone impersonating him and taking pics and videos 😭 but idk.”
However, Hinge follows a routine check before verifying an account. Hinge verifies users’ identities with video selfies, preventing users from being identified as digital impersonators.
If the subject of the video selfie passes both the Liveness Check and the 3D Face Authentication stage, the user gets “verified” status. They have given the complete details on their website about how a user is verified.
By scanning the face in your video, the Liveness Check assists in determining if the footage was captured by a genuine, live person and whether it has not been digitally edited or distorted.
With the use of facial recognition technology, 3D Face Authentication recognizes the user’s face from both their profile pictures and their video selfies. It then extracts facial geometries to create a unique number or “template” of facial geometry.
Since Hacker’s Hinge account was verified, it means that he went through all of these processes — proving that it was not a catfish account but a real one.
Many netizens complained that the woman who shared the screenshot ruined her chances of being Hacker’s girlfriend. “you match with Vinnie Hacker cause he finds you attractive, then you completely ruin your chances by blowing it up on the internet?? Ok,” one of them pointed out.
Another commented, “Ppl needa learn to keep secrets cause why are you ruining your chances like this??!”
Many netizens felt sad for Ernst since it was rumored that the duo were dating. On December 19, 2023, the duo was spotted at Disneyland and it seemed like they were having a good time together.
In one of the photos shared by their fans and followers on Reddit, Ernst looked like she was wearing Hacker’s hoodie. Hacker has also followed Ernst on Instagram and she did the same.
Back in early December 2023, Ernst shared a photo of her food on her secret Instagram account. The internet sleuths were quick to find out that she was in Hacker’s kitchen.

Moreover, the name on the Chick-fil-A cup had Hacker’s name written on it. So, people were quick to speculate that Ernst was Hacker’s girlfriend.
After it was revealed that Hacker was on Hinge and texting someone, Ernst posted and soon deleted a TikTok video where she lipsynced to ‘Teacher’s Pet’ by Melanie Martinez.
She sang, “If I’m so special, why am I secret? Yeah, why the [expletive] is that? Do you regret? The things we shared that I’ll never forget?” possibly hinting that there was something between Hacker and her.
However, netizens were not happy with it. A person wrote, “Girl.. stop bc you knew what you were dealing with…,” and another commented, “Don’t be too surprised. he’ll want any blonde who he makes contact with.”
That being said, neither Hacker nor Ernst has explicitly mentioned that the duo were dating or were even hooking up.
