According to Netflix, the show was watched by more than 55 million member households in its first 28 days — and also made the Top 10 list in 93 countries around the world and hit No. 1 in 79 countries.
The show creators also announced the original cast members of the show will reprise their roles in the second season.
The cast includes Jessie Mei Li as Alina Starkov, Ben Barnes as General Kirigan, Archie Renaux as Malyen Oretsev, Freddy Carter as Kaz Brekker, Amita Suman as Inej, Kit Young as Jesper Fahey, Danielle Galligan as Nina Zenik, and Calahan Skogman as Matthias Helvar.
Shadow and Bone season 2 will reportedly get a release date of late 2022 or early 2023.
The show is a fantasy series developed by Eric Heisserer for Netflix that premiered its first season on April 23, 2021.
It is based on two series of books in the Grishaverse created by American author Leigh Bardugo: her trilogy, the first of which is ‘Shadow and Bone,’ and the duology that begins with ‘Six of Crows.’
