Shortly after, the Instagram page The Dixie Nation shared a screenshot of the singer’s group chat message, where she cryptically mentioned, “Don’t be mad at me. I’m doing something.” Alongside the screenshot, the page captioned, “All good, Dixie Nation!! She’s just cleaning her feed.”
Similarly, TheTeaTok’s official page echoed the sentiment by sharing the same post and reassured everyone to stay calm, emphasizing that D’Amelio is well and seeking to alleviate any concerns arising from her unconventional social media activity.
After coming across these posts, numerous fans and followers took to expressing their opinions on the situation. Some expressed concern, saying, “I hope everything is okay with her. I can only imagine the stress that she goes through some days.”
On the contrary, another individual shared a different perspective, stating, “In my opinion, it’s strange—a good way to get attention. This is a strategy; she will surely release music.”
Nevertheless, this isn’t the first instance of the singer making a surprising move on Twitter. In the past, she took a similar step by deleting her Twitter account, bidding farewell with a tweet that simply stated, “Goodbye Twitter… it was fun.”

Notably, on the same day D’Amelio left Twitter, former President Donald Trump’s account was banned, prompting some to wonder if her decision was in solidarity with the President.
One follower expressed on Twitter, “Is @dixiedamelio leaving Twitter because Trump did?? That’s what I’ve heard, help.”
Adding to the intrigue, some fans even delved into D’Amelio’s Twitter account and unearthed an old VSCO photo, allegedly linked to her, showcasing Trump banners in the background.
Responding to these comments, the singer clarified that the photo was not taken at her home. She explained that during that period, she was young and disinterested in politics.
To dispel any lingering doubts, D’Amelio took to her Instagram Story to provide a more comprehensive explanation, stating, “I don’t (explicitly) support Trump. I’ve said it 100 (explicit) times.”
D’Amelio went on to elaborate that the decision to delete her Twitter account stemmed from the overwhelming negativity she encountered. She stated that she spent way too much time reading hateful comments and acknowledged that her timing was just awful.

I ask that you respect my privacy as well as everyone else’s. Right now my priority is preserving everything he’s built and I don’t have any plans beyond that.”
On YouTube, Potter mostly created audio dramas of comic books on his Comicstorian account, regularly discussing the Marvel and DC Universes. He shared his last upload, titled “Why DC’s Reboots Beat Marvel,” just a day before his death.
