She said, “A Bach piece, a Mozart sonata. And she heard it.” After Carlton was born, she grew interested in music and was tutored by her mother — especially in classical music.
Because of this, she developed a strong interest in ballet. She joined the School of American Ballet when she was 14 years old, in 1994.

For instance, Lee only cared about how the overall piece sounded rather than Carlton’s small mistakes while playing.
She added, “You play, you make a mistake, you keep going. I would improvise on some Mozart sonatas, or a Greek piece, taking it to another place entirely, and she would never correct me.”
Carlton said that this behavior of her mother was “super-important” because it gave her creative freedom from a young age. “So, in that way, I think she had a profound impact on my creative life,” she explained.
Unfortunately, things were not always good for the pair. Lee was “incredibly intense and very stubborn,” which created a rift between the two.
Fortunately, when Carlton became a mother, she could empathize with Lee and adore her.
She said, “She set up this amazing life for herself and her kids as a working mother. She’s very progressive. I agree with a lot of now that I’m a mother. But it took me some time to get here.”

Britnee Kellogg is a talented country music singer who gained fame due to her appearance in seasons 11 and 12 of American Idol. Recently, she released the music video for ‘She’s Come a Long Way,’ which not only has good music but also good lyrics and a powerful message.
She premiered the music exclusively through People’s magazine and the music video included powerful women from her home state of Oregon who have made their way through extreme challenges.
Kellogg collaborated with Autumn McEntire on this song, who ironically turned out to be the niece of the person she idolizes the most. In a recent interview with People, she mentioned, “Reba McEntire is the love of my life. She’s the first cassette tape I ever owned. She has always been a huge inspiration for me musically.”
