English singer and songwriter Sam Smith is reportedly working on a new project with Brazilian singer Anitta.
According to rumors, the ‘Unholy’ hitmaker Smith and Anitta will announce their collaboration soon. also tweeted the rumor about Smith and Anitta’s collaboration on February 14, 2023. Many people were taken aback by the tweet. “I am begging on my knees, please don’t,” one person said, while another added, “and we’ll be streaming it.”

Following the rumor of the singer’s new song, many people began to express their thoughts. Many people predicted that Smith and Anitta’s collaboration would not be a success.
One social media user said, “I don’t want to hear it & I feel like I have to unstan Anitta; nothing against Sam’s sexual preferences & stuff, it’s just that Sam’s always all over the place & that hell themed Grammy’s appearance & performance didn’t help. Even though Smith and Anitta’s supporters believe their collaboration is not the best choice, others believe it would be fantastic. “I think Sam Smith is perfect for a collaboration with Annita, I hope it works,” one person said.

Furthermore, the Brazilian singer revealed her next dream collaboration with Smith in an interview with MTV VMAs 2022. When the host asked, “you manifested to work withMissy Ellie, and your dream came true; now who are we manifesting next,” Smith replied, “I am manifesting Sam Smith. I like his vibe, and he’s a nice guy.”
Smith has also started following the Brazilian on Instagram. The two first met and talked at the Los 40 Music Awards in Spain, where Anitta won best collaboration for ‘RIP.’ Anitta now has the same manager as Normani, with whom Smith recorded the duet ‘Dancing With a Stranger,’ which is up for Grammy nominations.

The British singer recently released the song ‘Unholy’ in collaboration with German singer Kim Petras on September 22, 2022. Smith and Petras later won the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award for ‘Unholy’ on February 6, 2023.

On the other hand, Anitta’s singing career began by chance in 2010, when she was introduced to Renato Azevedo, a funk carioca producer (known as Batutinha). He had also seen some of her home videos on YouTube and invited her to record some demo tapes for him.
After being approved, she was nominated to sign a contract with ‘Furaco 2000’, an independent and specialized funk label. She later released her first single, ‘Eu Vou Ficar.’ Anitta signed a major recording contract with Warner Music Group in January 2013 and released the single ‘Meiga e Abusada.’
Since then, the Brazilian singer has been active in her singing career and has collaborated with the industry’s best artists, including Cardi B, Snoop Dogg, J Balvin, Maluma, Madonna, and many more.
