Amanda Bynes has become a topic of concern amongst netizens for a very long time.
They are worried about her, especially since her conservatorship ended in 2022. Bynes has not been active as well, with her last movie being Easy A in 2010.
She took a hiatus since then and has been suffering from many problems. They have been continuing for over a decade and even escalating nowadays.
Recently, on June 19, 2023, she called LAPD on herself and was detained and put on a 5150 psychiatric hold.
TMZ reported that Bynes called the police since she was a danger to herself as well as others. Since then, there have been no updates about Bynes, making people worried about her.
This is not the first time Bynes has been having mental health issues. In fact, they have been persistent for a very long time — two years after her last movie, to be precise.
What happened to Amanda Bynes? — from 2012 to 2023
Bynes was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) in West Hollywood in 2012. The charge was withdrawn two years later, and she was sentenced to three years on probation.
Bynes was charged with reckless endangerment and marijuana possession in May 2013 after she was discovered smoking in the lobby of her Manhattan apartment building. She allegedly tossed a bong out the window as authorities entered her 36th-floor flat.
In July 2013, she was arrested by Ventura County sheriff’s officers after reportedly starting a minor fire in the driveway of a stranger in Thousand Oaks. She was admitted to the hospital for a 72-hour mental-health assessment hold.
Bynes’ parents sought conservatorship of their daughter immediately after she was admitted to the hospital. Bynes’ mother was awarded interim guardianship of Bynes’ affairs in August.
In a series of tweets in October 2014, Bynes accused her father of emotional and sexual abuse. After her parents protested and claimed innocence, Bynes said that the microchip in her brain made her say those things.
She then claimed that her father ordered people to microchip her. Bynes’ mother was granted conservatorship over her again a few days later.
Bynes soon claimed that she had been diagnosed with bipolar illness. In August 2018, papers to extend the conservatorship until August 2020 were submitted.
Bynes announced in 2018 that she has been clean for four years with the support of her parents. She also apologized on Twitter for what she said during her years of substance abuse.
In an interview, Bynes revealed that she dabbled with cocaine and MDMA during her substance addiction days, but the drug she abused the most was the ADHD prescription medication, Adderall.
Bynes filed for conservatorship termination in February 2022. According to her counsel, Bynes claimed her illness had improved and that judicial protection was no longer required.
Her parents’ solicitors claimed that they supported her decision to stop it. On March 22, 2022, the conservatorship was formally ended.

However, Bynes’s mental health and behavior did not improve. She was placed on a 72-hour psychiatric detention on March 20, 2023, after flagging down a bystander for assistance and dialing 911 during a psychotic episode in Los Angeles.
She had been slated to appear at an All That panel at ’90s Con in Connecticut the previous weekend, her first scheduled public appearance after the conclusion of her conservatorship, but she did not make the trip.
Three months later, in June 2023, Bynes was put on another psychiatric hold.

Easy A, a coming-of-age comedy-drama film released in 2010, was directed by Will Gluck. Bynes starred alongside Emma Stone, Stanley Tucci, Penn Badgley, Cam Gigandet, Thomas Haden Church, Dan Byrd, Malcolm McDowell, Lisa Kudrow, and Aly Michalka, in her last movie.
The film deftly examines subjects such as social reputation, the influence of rumors, and the complexity of high school life. Bynes, who played the role of Marianne, is at the heart of this story.

Bynes’s involvement in Easy A is crucial since she expertly portrays Marianne and contributes to the film’s overall message.
Marianne is a fervent Christian student who attends the same high school as the film’s heroine, Olive Penderghast. Marianne personifies the traditional “mean girl” stereotype, embodying the judgemental and self-righteous mentality that is common in adolescent social circles.
Her role acts as a trigger for much of the film’s conflict and comedy. Bynes’s role in her last movie is both memorable and sophisticated.

Marianne’s ostensibly traditional demeanor and underlying fears are expertly captured by Bynes, discreetly hinting at the character’s complicated inner world. Bynes’s outstanding comic timing allows her to deliver lines with pinpoint accuracy, emphasizing Marianne’s hypocrisy and allowing the audience to both laugh and sympathize with her.
Amanda Bynes’ performance as Marianne in Easy A was essential in the film’s investigation of social reputation, the power of rumors, and personal growth. Marianne’s development and the film’s overall themes were highlighted by Bynes’s remarkable acting, which added depth and complexity to the character.
Bynes impressed spectators with her depiction, making a lasting impact and confirming her status as a brilliant performer within the genre. All in all, Easy A, Bynes’s last movie, is a tribute to her talent and influence on the film’s popularity, engaging with audiences and becoming a cherished modern high school comedy.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson to Star in Robert Eggers’ Next Film ‘Werwulf’
WERWULF is currently in pre-production, with more casting and plot details expected to be revealed soon.

After haunting audiences with Nosferatu, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is teaming up once again with director Robert Eggers. This time for a werewolf horror titled Werwulf. The film is already building buzz ahead of its Christmas Day 2026 release, and it may get even hotter with Nosferatu lead Lily-Rose Depp in talks to join the cast.
Eggers will direct from a script he co-wrote with Sjón, his collaborator on The Northman. With Focus Features backing the project, and Working Title producing, Werwulf looks to carry the eerie, mythic tone Eggers is known for — only now under the full moon.
Their last outing, Nosferatu, was a breakout hit, raking in $181 million worldwide and marking a massive return for stylized gothic horror. Taylor-Johnson played Friedrich Harding, a vampire skeptic, while Depp portrayed Ellen, the object of Count Orlok’s obsession.
With werewolves now in his sights, Eggers’ next nightmare seems poised to bite — and Taylor-Johnson is clearly ready to howl.

‘Jurassic World Rebirth’ Roars Into Box Office Success

Jurassic World Rebirth, the latest installment in the dinosaur saga, has stomped its way to box office glory. Directed by Gareth Edwards and co-written by Jurassic Park veteran David Koepp, the film premiered on June 17 in London and hit U.S. theaters on July 2. It has already grossed over $334 million globally against a reported budget of $180 million.
This fresh reboot stars Scarlett Johansson and Mahershala Ali in leading roles, supported by Jonathan Bailey, Ed Skrein, and Rupert Friend. The film shifts slightly from the earlier World trilogy tone, leaning into sci-fi thrills and a suspenseful, character-driven story.
Critics have been split. While some praise the visual effects and performances, others say it doesn’t quite recapture the awe of Spielberg’s original. Still, many fans agree that Rebirth is a major improvement over the previous film, Dominion, and a step in the right direction for the franchise.
With its strong performance, Universal is now reportedly developing spin-offs and planning to expand the Jurassic universe further. After ten films and over three decades of dino-dominance, it seems audiences still aren’t done with the thrill of prehistoric adventure.

‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Rolls Out Star‑Studded Cast

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is officially underway, and the cast lineup is as iconic as fans hoped. Meryl Streep returns as the icy editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly, joined once again by Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci — reprising their roles nearly two decades after the 2006 original became a cultural classic.
But the sequel isn’t just about the old guard. It’s adding new faces to the high-fashion chaos, including Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak, Pauline Chalamet, and Bridgerton star Simone Ashley. Acclaimed actor and director Kenneth Branagh will also appear as Miranda’s husband — a character that’s expected to shake up the dynamics at Runway Magazine.
Plot details are still under wraps, but the film is scheduled to release on May 1, 2026. It’s expected to explore the evolving world of fashion media while diving deeper into Miranda’s personal life and Andy Sachs’ next chapter. Notably missing is Adrian Grenier, who played Andy’s boyfriend Nate in the original. Sources say his character won’t return for the sequel.
With a mix of nostalgia and fresh energy, The Devil Wears Prada 2 promises to deliver sharp dialogue, high fashion, and the kind of dramatic flair only Miranda Priestly can serve.
