Amy Adams — an American actress — and Darren Le Gallo — an artist and actor — have been married for roughly seven years after being together for almost 20 years.
Just before the actress became famous for her breakthrough performance in Junebug, the two-time Primetime Emmy Awards winner met her now husband while taking acting classes.
Adams’ first major role came in the 2002 crime comedy movie Catch Me If You Can as Brenda Strong alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, but she remained unemployed for a year afterward.
However, her breakthrough came when she landed the role of Ashley Johnsten — a pregnant woman in Phil Morrison’s Junebug — for which she won her first Academy Award Nomination.
Adams has now appeared three times in annual lists of the highest-paid actresses in the world with two Golden Globe Awards, six Academy Awards nominations, seven British Academy Film Awards, and various accolades.

Although Adams and Le Gallo enrolled in the same acting class in 2001, she and Le Gallo didn’t begin dating until the following year.
“I had another boyfriend, and Darren was dating some girl,” the actress told Vanity Fair in 2008. She added that she had done scenes with him and that she found him to be charming.
Eventually, while working together on the 2006 short film Pennies, Adams developed feelings for Le Gallo. She admitted to Vanity Fair that she had gotten to know him outside of class and found him to be genuine, and caring.

“He demanded that we go out on a date. He said, ‘I know you’re getting over this [other] guy, but I’m taking you out on Wednesday, and I was like, ‘And so you are!'” said the American actress.
The couple made their first public appearance together when Adams was nominated for her work in Junebug at the 2006 Oscars.
In April 2008, they announced their engagement after six years of dating. In the September 2008 Vanity Fair interview, Adams confirmed the information and made it clear that she was not pregnant.
However, the duo decided to postpone their nuptials. Before they were married, they had a seven-year engagement. The couple joyfully grew their family during that time. They welcomed their first child, daughter Aviana Olea Le Gallo, on May 15, 2010.
Adams and Le Gallo exchanged vows in a private ceremony at a ranch near Santa Barbra, California, on May 2, 2015, following a 7-year engagement and the birth of a child.

Adams’ husband is a painter, actor, and director. According to Women’s Health, Le Gallo graduated from Abilene Christian University in Texas with a degree in painting.
He sells paintings from his collections online. His artwork has been shown in galleries in New York, Santa Monica, California, Bergamot Station, and other cities. Sometimes, he promotes his paintings on Instagram.
The painter has also had some acting experience, making minor appearances in shows like Six Feet Under. Darren made his directorial debut on the recently released comedy movie Sam & Kate, which he also authored.
Le Gallo told People that her wife, who serves as the film’s executive producer, pushed him to start Sam & Kate in 2015.
“I had a different project that I was trying to get off the ground and, honestly, it was my wife that was like, ‘You need to write your next thing,'” Le Gallo said to the outlet.
He remarked that his wife has excellent intuition and that her support has meant everything to him during their relationship.
