TikTok star Spencer Barbosa recently soft-launched her new relationship with her new boyfriend on the special occasion of Valentine’s Day.

On February 14, 2024, Barbosa took to her Instagram handle to share a series of pictures featuring herself and her secret boyfriend. The photos showed herself on a lakeside, donning a bikini and white hat.

On the other hand, her boyfriend wore blue shorts and a cap backward. Additionally, the TikTok star’s boyfriend was holding her hand as he faced front – hiding his face – and Barbosa was turning backward and smiling.

“Cheeky little valentine’s day post,” she captioned her post alongside one see-no-evil monkey emoji and one love letter emoji. This immediately made her fanbase frenzy, with one Instagram user quickly commenting, “She has a boyfriend?”

Likewise, many of her fans were supportive, as one user wrote, “#1 SUPPORTER OF THIS RELATIONSHIP YALL ARE SO CUTE.” “Happy v-day spencie, love to see you happy & in love,” wrote another Instagram user.

“I’m living for this soft launch,” wrote fellow internet star Mary Jelkovsky. Moreover, some netizens wanted to know more about Barbosa’s new secret boyfriend, with one user commenting, “We want a boyfriend reveal,” along with face with hand-over-mouth emojis.

This soft launch was the first time Barbosa featured her boyfriend on any of her social media handles; however, this isn’t the first time she has opened up about having a partner.

Besides, Barbosa also shared an Instagram story on Valentine’s Day where she put up a link to share how she met her boyfriend. “Thought today would be the perfect day to tell you guys how we met,” she wrote above the link.

The link made her fans discover she met her now-boyfriend around four years ago through TikTok. She mentioned that she had commented on his picture, and at the time, she thought he was cute. Other than this, she didn’t reveal any other details.

If that’s correct, then it’s safe to assume that Barbosa and her secret boyfriend have been dating for some time, and her boyfriend is the same guy she mentioned in a couple of her past YouTube videos.

For instance, on October 3, 2023, she uploaded a video on YouTube titled ‘MOVING IN WITH MY BOYFRIEND (for a week).’ The video description revealed that her boyfriend lives in Toronto, and she was moving in with him there for a week.

Likewise, on September 14, 2023, she uploaded a short on YouTube titled ‘Surprising my boyfriend while he’s at school.’ This YouTube short revealed that her boyfriend might be studying at a university; however, the university he studies in wasn’t revealed.

Since Barbosa has been giving out little details about her new relationship, eagle-eyed fans have done some digging and found out that her new boyfriend is a non-celebrity named Cameron Nicolaides – he also lives in Toronto, Canada.

Some Redditors came to this conclusion after finding out that Nicolaides was with Barbosa at the premiere of the 2023 hit movie Barbie. Furthermore, one Reddit user even claimed Nicolaides was at Barbosa’s father’s birthday.

That said, Barbosa has yet to confirm these fan theories about who her boyfriend is, as she hasn’t revealed any details about her new boyfriend, except that he is also Canadian like herself and is a university student. For now, her fans have to wait for the boyfriend reveal.

Before she began dating her now-boyfriend, Barbosa was previously in a long-term relationship with her now-former boyfriend, Morgan Penwell. She first teased her relationship with Penwell via Instagram on December 5, 2021.

She finally did a boyfriend reveal on January 1, 2022, and afterward, they often began featuring each other on their respective social media handles. It seemed like they were happy together, and things eventually went wrong between the then-couple.

They stopped posting each other, and fans immediately noticed something was wrong between them. Their break up rumors were ultimately confirmed by Barbosa on April 15, 2023 – via a TikTok video. She mentioned that they broke up a few weeks ago.

In the TikTok video, she stated, “There is no easy way to say this, but me and Morgan have broken up. I wanted to tell you guys as soon as it happened. But I knew for me to heal, but I knew for me to heal, without other people’s comments.”

“I always preach to you guys that you deserve to put Yourself first. That you deserve to put Yourself first. And you deserve happiness. And you deserve the world. And the same goes for me. I had to follow my advice,” Barbosa added.

Barbosa also mentioned that splitting with Penwell was a mutual decision, and she urged her well-wishers not to drag Penwell. In the comment section, Penwell later commented that it was all love between them, meaning they were on good terms despite the break up.
