Jaden Hossler Addresses Backlash Involving His Song ‘Chrome Hearted’ and Nessa Barrett

Jaden Hossler is facing some backlash for his new song, ‘Chrome Hearted.’
While the singer has not confirmed any connotations behind his new song, many believe he has shaded his former girlfriend, Nessa Barrett. Since the beginning of September 2023, he has been teasing that he is going to release a new single.
He posted a teaser of the song on Instagram with the caption, “Been wanting to put this single out for months and it’s finally coming, Jaden Hossler’s ‘Chrome Hearted’.”
Fans and followers of the singer were excited for the new song. However, they could not help but realize that some of the lyrics of ‘Chrome Hearted,’ related to his former girlfriend.
“You don’t hold me down, you just watch me drown, yeah. You were in lost and found till I came around, yeah,” he sang in the teaser. “You hit me up at 10 when nobody’s around. Think it’s too late now, you can keep the crown, darling.”
Netizens noticed that Hossler’s new song directly referenced Barrett’s relationship with her former boyfriend, Harley Solomon. Moreover, they connected the dots because Solomon’s uncle is the owner of the luxury brand Chrome Hearts.
Similarly, Hossler mainly faced backlash because he dissed Barrett, saying she could keep the crown. It is reported that Barrett wrote her song, ‘American Jesus, ’ referring to Hossler, where she sings, “My cowboy in the crown.”
Hossler addressed the backlash on Twitter, claiming he never meant to hurt anyone. He wrote how he makes “real music” from many “real situations” in his life, not just one.
Even though it made people upset, leading him to face backlash for his new song, he encouraged artists to speak up about what was true to them in music. He expected the same because that was his freedom.
So, even though he did not mention Barrett, his relationship with her might have been one of the inspirations behind his new song.
Hossler is very confident about ‘Chrome Hearted.’ He believes that his new song will take him to the next level.
As a result, he asked his fans and followers to watch out for him as he navigated his journey through the music and entertainment industry. Moreover, he is also abandoning his professional name, jxdn, for the time being.
Instead, he is using his full name, Jaden Hossler, for the new song. He wrote that it was a real opportunity for him to “transcend to a new level.”
He added, “I took time away to humble myself, grow, and learn what I need to how I needed to in order to rise up for this. No more petty bulls–t. no more inconsistency. Just pure hard work, talent, and gratitude. Popstar Time,”
He also assured his fans and followers that he was not abandoning his professional name. He wrote, “I’m not abandoning Jxdn. I’m simply allowing Jaden Hossler to be the star he is. I don’t need to be anything else but myself. And for this I am grateful. Jxdn will always be a part of who Jaden Hossler is.”
While he has not yet declared a release date for the single, fans are hopeful that it will be available soon.

His wife, Nathalie, confirmed the news of his death at the age of 40 as she wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter). Her message read, “Two days ago, on June 8th, my husband, Ben Potter, passed away in an unfortunate accident.”
