Who knows, that little kid from Chattanooga, Tennessee, watching movies, wishing he could be here to get the votes of people who run an organization like this that says, ‘Hey, I deserve something like this,’ thank you, so much.”

Jackson was born on December 21, 1948, in Washington, D.C., to a working-class family and initially pursued a degree in marine biology. However, his love of performing drove him to change paths to pursue theatre at Morehouse College in Atlanta.
