Canadian-American actress Ayesha Curry was born to her parents, John and Carol Alexander (née Chin), each with distinct backgrounds.
Ayesha’s mother, Carol, comes from a background that combines Afro-Jamaican and Chinese-Jamaican ancestry. On the other hand, her father, John, traces his roots to a mixed heritage of African-American and Polish descent.
This mix of backgrounds shaped the actress’ identity and provided her with a deep appreciation for diversity from a young age.
However, upon relocating to Charlotte, North Carolina, at the age of 14, she found herself navigating the complexities of her mixed ethnicity in a new environment where cultural norms and perceptions differed from those she had previously experienced.
In an interview with The View, Ayesha shared insights into her upbringing. She talked about the contrast in her identity as a Black woman in Toronto and the cultural shift she experienced when her family moved to North Carolina at 14.

She shared how, in her new environment, she found herself grappling with a sense of alienation from her community, longing for acceptance and understanding. She constantly had one question in her mind: where did she fit in?
Despite the initial challenges, Ayesha remained steadfast in her belief in the diversity and beauty within the Black community, advocating for the celebration of all shades of melanin.
The actress’ journey also had a fortunate beginning. At the tender age of 14, fate intervened as she crossed paths with Stephen (“Steph”) Curry, the accomplished point guard for the Golden State Warriors, at a church gathering.
Their meeting marked the beginning of a profound love story that would eventually lead to marriage in 2011, starting a journey of companionship and building a family.
But beyond the romantic tale, Ayesha also shared insights from her mother, who provided valuable guidance in navigating marriage and self-discovery.
She revealed that her mother had advised her to stay true to her passions and identity within marriage. Embracing these words, she understood the significance of maintaining authenticity and vibrancy as a partner.
Ayesha’s close bond with her mother is further evident from the shared pictures on her Instagram. She uploaded a photo of her mother wearing a simple, full-sleeve, short, wraparound dress, appearing youthful and vibrant despite being 60.
Likewise, in another picture, Carol was seen wearing a casual sleeveless top paired with colorful pants, set against a scenic backdrop. Ayesha captioned the post with, “Happy Birthday mommy!!!!!!”

Just like her mother, the actress also seems to share a close bond with her father. In 2016, she took to Twitter to express her outrage after her father was “racially profiled” and wrongly detained at an NBA Finals game, mistaken for a known con artist.
She wrote, “Police racially profiled my father and told him to remove his credentials and tried to arrest him.” This incident showcased her dedication to speaking out against racial injustice and supporting her family members in times of discrimination.
Ayesha Curry grew up with four siblings
Ayesha has four siblings, namely Jaz Alexander, Chad Alexander, Janiece Alexander, and Maria Alexander. Despite her prominence in the entertainment industry, she has not divulged much about her siblings’ professions.
However, there is one notable instance, on December 24, 2015, the actress shared a picture with her two brothers and simply captioned it, “My big little brothers!”

Brief on Ayesha Curry’s career
Ayesha began her career at the tender age of 12, appearing in the music video for ‘Too Young for Love’ by Suga Prince (now known as Sevn Thomas). Later, after graduating from Weddington High School, she made the move to Los Angeles to pursue acting, predominantly landing bit parts.

Britnee Kellogg is a talented country music singer who gained fame due to her appearance in seasons 11 and 12 of American Idol. Recently, she released the music video for ‘She’s Come a Long Way,’ which not only has good music but also good lyrics and a powerful message.
She premiered the music exclusively through People’s magazine and the music video included powerful women from her home state of Oregon who have made their way through extreme challenges.
Kellogg collaborated with Autumn McEntire on this song, who ironically turned out to be the niece of the person she idolizes the most. In a recent interview with People, she mentioned, “Reba McEntire is the love of my life. She’s the first cassette tape I ever owned. She has always been a huge inspiration for me musically.”
It was like fate that she met Autumn a few years back and got to work with her. “When I first met her several years ago, I knew her last name was McEntire, but that’s kind of a common last name,” says Kellogg.
She continues the conversation by saying, “I guess I never asked her until she posted something about having a cut on her aunt’s record and I was like, ‘Excuse me, you never told me this?!’ It made me respect her even more that she doesn’t go around bragging that she’s Reba’s niece. I think that says a lot about her character.”

The video then went on to introduce other powerful women, like 30-year-old Erica, a nurse who is in high demand. Then, Nikki was introduced, a 49-year-old layout engineer who survived a life-changing injury.

Other women included were 26-year-old business advisor and artist Kayla and 46-year-old Midwife Megan, who has delivered 500+ babies and has been clean and sober for 17 years. Next came Lisa, who is a special education teacher and a teen mother, followed by 37-year-old Mikeisha, who is a personal shopper, boutique owner, healthcare leader, and a wife and a mother.
The video also included 52-year-old Tracie, who is a property manager, and Slumberkins founders Kelly and Callie. The last person to be introduced was Angela, the co-founder of I Am Foster Kid.
Kellogg created this music video to honor how they’ve come a long way and still have much to do. She wanted to leave a very powerful message so that every woman is inspired by what they are doing.

On March 28, Kellogg posted a video reacting to the People’s cover of her new music video, captioning it with “Thank you @people and @triciadespres for highlighting this song and these amazing women”

I don’t know I feel like I would love that just to keep the name going and have that massive family line in hopefully WWE. At the same time, I also know what goes into this profession how hard it is, and how taxing it is on your body and your mind and I don’t know if I want that for my kids or not. Like I do but I don’t. It’s so amazing on the other side of things but it also takes a lot outta you. But I guess we’ll see down the line.”

To this, the wrestler replied, “He loves it. He doesn’t make him feel a certain negative sort of way. He’s happy for me and he also knows how far I can go in this company and how far his limitations are as well.”

While discussing it, she also discussed the reality of wrestling being male-dominated and acknowledged the limited opportunities for women in the sport. “So if you show you’re different and connect with the crowd in a certain way, you’re gonna skyrocket to the top,” she says.
Ripley then talked about her husband, stating, “Whereas for him, he has been in the WWE, he’s been wrestling for over 10 years, maybe 15 years… for a long long time. At the end of the day, the platform that I’m on is higher and I feel like he doesn’t get threatened by that.”
The wrestler also said that her fiancée reassures her that he doesn’t get threatened by her popularity and she trusts him. She also reveals that he helps her grow along the way and it is what a relationship should be like.

Adams goes by his ring name, Buddy Matthews, and is a professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He was previously in WWE as Buddy Murphy and assigned to developmental territory NXT.
He made his debut in AEW on the February 23, 2022, episode of Dynamite alongside Malakai Black and Brody King of the House of Black. Following his impactful debut, AEW president Tony Khan announced his signing with the company.
Some of his notable victories include winning a trios match at Revolution’s buy-in-show against Death Triangle on March 5, 2023, defeating The Elite. However, they experienced defeat in August 2023 against The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn.
