Xochitl Gomez is a Mexican-American actress who began acting at five in local musical theatre performances and student films.
Gomez made her professional debut in Raven’s Home in 2018. She starred in Shadow Wolves (2019), for which she received a Young Artist Award, and The Baby-Sitters Club (2020), both of which were critically lauded.
She received more attention and critical acclaim in 2022 for her depiction of America Chavez in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. People have been curious about her since her portrayal of Chavez in the MCU.
They especially are curious about her sexuality and gender — asking questions like ‘ Is Xochitl Gomez lesbian?’ and ‘Is Xochitl Gomez dating her partner?’
Here is all we know about it.
Xochitl Gomez’s sexuality and gender
As said before, people have always been curious about Gomez’s sexuality and gender. This especially came after her portrayal of Chavez because Chavez is a lesbian in the MCU.
This led many to speculate that Gomez was lesbian or gay in real life to portray a character belonging to the LGBTQ community.
But in real life, Gomez has not mentioned about her sexuality and gender. She is a cisgender woman but has not confirmed if she is lesbian or gay.

As a result, her sexuality is unknown. Unless Gomez confirms if she is gay or lesbian, nothing can be said for sure.
It is critical to respect people’s privacy and avoid making assumptions about their sexual orientation.
Xochitl Gomez’s boyfriend and dating history
Like her sexuality, Gomez has not talked about her dating history to date. She has been linked with some people, but those rumors have been baseless.
Many have speculated that she is a lesbian and has a partner, but there is no concrete evidence regarding this. Therefore, unless Gomez opens up about her dating life, boyfriend, or partner, nothing can be said for sure.
America Chavez’s sexuality and gender
America Chavez is a superhero who appears in Marvel Comics’ American comic books. The character was created by writer Joe Casey and illustrator Nick Dragotta and debuted in Vengeance #1 in September 2011.
America Chavez is Miss America’s second iteration. At various stages in her past, she has also been a member of the A-Force, the Ultimates, and the Young Avengers.
She has been dubbed Marvel’s most notable and powerful female hero, as well as the publisher’s first Latino LGBT character to star in a comic book series as the eponymous character.
America Chavez thought she was nurtured by her moms in the Utopian Parallel, a world beyond time, and in the presence of the Demiurge, whose presence she attributed with bestowing abilities on her.
In her memories, the Utopian Parallel was threatened by annihilation by black holes when Chavez was around six years old. Chavez’s moms sacrificed themselves to close the black holes, scattering their particles throughout the Multiverse.
Chavez went away from her family and her obligations, wanting to show herself as a hero and understanding that Utopia did not require redemption. She traveled through other universes, finally taking on the title of Miss America and secretly functioning as a superhero.
Although she is portrayed in a relationship with his partner, Ultimate Nullifier, during her initial appearance with the Teen Brigade in Vengeance #1, Chavez subsequently claimed that she was only experimenting with Ultimate Nullifier and now identifies as a lesbian.
She is later seen dating Lisa Halloran in the comics.
Chavez has been dubbed as a queer icon and an inspiration for lesbian and gay people all over the world. The Verge wrote, “As one of a small but growing number of queer superheroes of color in comics overall, she has quickly become iconic among her loving fans, all of whom crave better representation in the medium.”
Xochitl Gomez’s biography and career
Gomez was born in Los Angeles, California, on April 29, 2006. Her mother is a film set decorator, while her father is a construction worker.
Gomez is of Mexican origin, as her father is Mexican. She was reared in Hollywood, Los Angeles, and relocated to Echo Park when she was five years old. She had a lot of Mexican influences growing up because her friends and babysitter were Mexican, and her parents spoke Spanish at home.
Gomez claimed that she had lived in both worlds, which has shaped who she is as a person. She has spent her entire life at public school.
At the age of five, Gomez enrolled in her first musical theatre class and began acting in a local version of The Little Mermaid. Gomez continued to participate in musical theatre until she was 12 years old, appearing in 22 full-length productions.
She has also appeared in student films. Every day after school, Gomez spent many hours attending auditions across Los Angeles.
She would sometimes attend four or five classes each day, which she described as crazy. At the age of 10, Gomez landed her first commercial role.
Gomez first appeared in the Disney Channel series Raven’s Home in 2018. She also appeared in the 2019 film Shadow Wolves, for which she received a Young Artist Award for Supporting Teen Artist.
Gomez was cast as Dawn Schafer in The Baby-Sitters Club, an adaptation of Ann M. Martin’s novel series of the same name, in March 2020. The show was critically acclaimed when it debuted on Netflix on July 3, 2020.
Due to schedule problems with Gomez’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Netflix replaced her character for the show’s second season in March 2021.
In Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Gomez played Chavez. In February 2020, she was 13 when she initially auditioned for the role of then-18-year-old America.
Later, the character was rewritten as a younger adolescent. Gomez trained in martial arts, kickboxing, and stunts every other day for hours in the hopes of impressive casting directors in a prospective callback.
Gomez earned a callback and a screen test with Benedict Cumberbatch six months after her original audition. Two days later, she was cast.
Gomez was one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s youngest performers when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was released at the age of 16. The picture was a commercial success, making more than $955 million globally.
It received mixed reviews, although Gomez was acclaimed for her performance, with Empire stating that she brings impressive warmth and feeling. In August 2022, she was cast with Mary Elizabeth Winstead in the science fiction thriller Ursa Major.

In 1997, the two accomplished actors met for the first time while collaborating on a performance of Shakespeare’s Othello at the National Theatre.
Although the specifics of their relationship have remained mainly secret because Varma loves to keep her life private, their relationship grew, and they eventually got married.
Indira Varma has a child
In addition to being a gifted actor, Varma is also a devoted and caring mother to her only daughter, Evelyn Tierney.
Varma may be well-known in the entertainment business, but she has decided to shield herself from the fame’s frequently invasive limelight.
As a result, not much is known about Evelyn to the general public because her mother values her privacy above all else.
Indira Varma’s ethnicity and nationality revealed
Varma was born on September 27, 1973, to her Indian father and Swiss mother, who was of part Genoese Italian descent, making her of mixed ethnicity and her nationality British.
She was raised in Bath, Somerset, and is the only child of her parents. Her father was an illustrator, and her mother was a graphic designer.
During an interview with The Telegraph, Varma recalled that her family members had occasionally experienced being patronized because of their accents, which occasionally led to situations where they were seen as strange and the target of racial comments.
Indira Varma as Ellaria Sand in the ‘Game of Thrones’
Fans of the renowned TV series Game of Thrones, an adaptation of A Song of Ice and Fire, a series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin, the first of which is A Game of Thrones, are still talking about Varma’s portrayal of Ellaria Sand.
She contributed nuance and complexity to the role of Sand for 13 episodes. In the beginning, her character, Ellaria, is introduced to be Oberyn Martell’s lover and the mother of his bastard daughters, the Sand Snakes.

But Varma’s extraordinary acting is best seen in her transition following Oberyn’s terrible death. After the death of her lover, Ellaria seeks peace and an end to the cycle of retribution in the novels.
However, the television adaptation portrays Ellaria as a ruthless and vengeful character who will do anything to exact revenge on House Lannister, including harming Oberyn’s own family.
Varma’s portrayal in the series not only highlighted her acting skills but also earned a nomination for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for her role in 2016.
Indira Varma went to RADA
Varma attended the esteemed Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) and graduated in 1995. Her acting career began shortly after graduating from RADA when she appeared as a courtesan in Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love in 1996.
In 1996, she made her small-screen debut in Crucial Tales. She then landed roles in Jinnah in 1998 and Bride and Prejudice in 2004.
However, it was her role as Niobe Vorena in the first season of the acclaimed BBC/HBO historical drama series Rome in 2005 that garnered significant attention.
Her television credits also include Torchwood, CBS’s medical drama 3 lbs, Bones, the BBC drama Luther, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Extrapolations, and many more.
In 2014, Varma’s career reached new heights when she was cast as Ellaria Sand in the critically acclaimed HBO series Game of Thrones.
Later, in 2016, she landed the lead role of DC Nina Suresh in the British television drama Paranoid, which streamed globally on Netflix.
In 2022, Varma lent her voice to Terry Pratchett’s Witches series. In May 2023, it was announced she would portray The Duchess in the fourteenth series of Doctor Who.
Inside Selena Gomez’s Rumors of Plastic Surgery and Weight Loss
She has kept mum about it.
Selena Gomez is one such celebrity who grew up in the spotlight.
She started her career as an actress when she was nine years old by starring in Barney & Friends. Soon, she became a teen idol with her role as Alex Russo on Wizards of Waverly Place and formed her band, Selena Gomez & the Scene.
At the time of writing, Gomez is 31 years old, and she is an actress, singer, businesswoman, and producer. She is one of the most influential personalities in the world.
As a result, she has always been under public scrutiny. She has faced backlash for many things to date.
However, the one rumor that constantly follows her is her getting plastic surgery. When Gomez posts a photo of herself, netizens ask, “Has Selena Gomez had plastic surgery?”
Moreover, her before and after plastic surgery photos keep on surfacing on the internet. Netizens have often discussed in detail her plastic surgery — making speculations as well.
They mainly discuss it on Twitter and Reddit, where they share photos of the singer from when she was young to now, comparing them side by side.
So, what is the truth?
Did Gomez get cosmetic procedures and plastic surgery, or is she all-natural? Here is all we know about it.
Rumors of Selena Gomez getting plastic surgery
Since forever, there have been rumors of Gomez getting plastic surgery. This escalated after the actress was spotted barefoot onstage while presenting the SAG award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role after breaking a heel and stumbling on the red carpet, prompting her to remove her shoes in February 2022.
Martin Short, her Only Murders in the Building co-star, followed her onstage and joked about getting Botox when Gomez agreed with him.
Short said, “I’m excited too. Although, it’s hard for me to express the excitement because the Botox is fresh,” to which ‘The Heart Wants What It Wants’ singer replied, “Alright, mine too.”
Aside from the humorous remark, Gomez has not officially verified whether she has ever had cosmetic modifications or commented directly on netizens’ accusations of plastic surgery.
On Reddit, there are various before and after plastic surgery photos shared of Gomez. One Redditor wrote, “This transformation makes me so sad 🙁 I thought she was one of the most beautiful women when I was little,” while another quipped, “Yep, I wouldn’t even have known it was her if it weren’t for the title. She was so beautiful and cute. I still can’t see any resemblance.”
A Redditor commented how plastic surgery made Gomez look older than she is. They said, “She was a lot prettier before this brow lift/foxy eye surgery or whatever she had done. It’s a shame. It made her look a lot older than she is.”
Another Redditor replied, “Yes. I think it’s a few things: Surgery, Weight gain, and style change she dresses quite plain now.” “Whatever the surgeon did to her eyes and brows should be ILLEGAL to do on faces below 40. They aged her massively!!! I can’t look at her and not be fixated on how taught and aged she looks. It’s such a shame,” another chimed in.

Many accused her of getting a cheek implant because they claimed that weight loss and gain should have impacted her entire face, not just her cheeks. She has also been accused of rhinoplasty, brow lift, boob job, and lip fillers.
While people have defended her, saying that she looks the same without makeup and it was the makeup that changed her appearance, many are adamant that Gomez has gone under the knife.
The truth behind the rumors
While Gomez has joked about getting Botox or cosmetic procedures, she has never revealed the truth. She has not addressed it to date, so there is no way of knowing if she has gotten any plastic surgery.
That being said, many have claimed that Gomez’s weight loss and gain have impacted how she looks. This has led many to believe that she is getting plastic surgery wrongly.
The actress, who has been scrutinized since her teens, spoke up about her weight loss and gain on TikTok live on February 16, 2023. She revealed that the drugs she uses to control her lupus might cause her weight to fluctuate on a daily basis.
Between 2012 and early 2014, she was diagnosed with lupus. Lupus, also known as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), is an autoimmune illness in which the body’s immune system assaults healthy tissue in many different places of the body.
Painful and swollen joints, fever, chest discomfort, hair loss, mouth ulcers, swollen lymph nodes, fatigue, and a red rash, most typically on the face, are all common symptoms. Talking about her medication and weight loss, Gomez noted, “When I’m taking it, I tend to hold a lot of water weight, and that happens very normally. And then when I’m off of it, I tend to kind of lose weight.”
She shared her medical history because she wanted to encourage anyone who felt shame for going through something difficult. She pointed out that everyone was beautiful despite going through health difficulties.
“I just want people to know that you’re beautiful and wonderful and yeah, we have days where maybe we feel like shit but I would much rather be healthy and take care of myself and my medications are important,” Gomez stated.
She knew she was not a model and never would be because of her health and constant weight loss and gain. She said, “Not a model, never will be. I think they’re awesome, mind you, I just am definitely not that so that’s it.”
Regardless, she thanked her fans and followers for supporting and understanding her. “I just wanted to tell you I love you guys and thanks for supporting me and understanding and if not, go away because honestly, I don’t believe in shaming people for body or anything,” she added.
So, because of constant weight loss and gain, Gomez’s appearance has changed over time. Similarly, she looks different without makeup and even in natural glam.
Therefore, despite many posts comparing before and after plastic surgery photos of Gomez, it looks like she has not gone under the knife and changed her appearance as such.
Ron Howard’s Daughter Bryce Dallas Howard Has Three Siblings
And she is the oldest!
She has been active in the Hollywood industry since 1989 and is often labeled as a “nepo baby” because of her parents, actor-director Ron Howard and writer Cheryl Howard.
Along with her father Ron, Bryce is the one who is most active both behind and in front of the cameras. That’s why, many people don’t know that Bryce has three siblings.
Bryce is the eldest child of her parents, and she has two younger sisters named twins Paige Carlyle Howard and Jocelyn Carlyle Howard, and a younger brother named Reed Cross Howard.
Here is all we know about her siblings.
One of the twins — Paige Carlyle Howard
As said before, Bryce is the eldest daughter of her parents. She was born on March 2, 1981.
Four years later, she was blessed with twin siblings, Paige and Jocelyn, who were born on February 5, 1985. Paige, like Bryce, is also an actor, having appeared in episodes of 90210 and Arrested Development.
However, she is most recognized for her recurring role as Natalie Walsh on the TV show stalkTALK. Paige made her film debut in Adventureland in 2009.
Paige is a children’s book author in addition to her acting career. In April 2023, she released her debut book, A Pigeon in Paris: Petite Takes Flight.
She made the announcement on Instagram via a video where she signed a couple of her books. She wrote how the book was a dream come true and wished that people would enjoy her book as much as she did writing it.
She wrote, “This story has been a whisper in my heart for many years. To be able to hold it in my hands and share it with all of you is truly a dream come true.”
Ron was a proud father and wished his daughter good luck. He commented on the post, “So proud of you Paige. It’s so fun and rings so true. Kids and parents are going to love this one for years. Bravo.”
Talking about her personal life, Paige got married in an outdoor wedding to her husband, actor Timmy Abou Nasr, in New York’s Central Park in May 2022, following their July 2019 engagement.
Bryce, who was one of the bridesmaids, paid an honor to her younger sister’s wedding on Instagram. She posted a carousel of images and congratulated the newlywed couple.

She wrote, “Although it took a whole pandemic to reach this special moment, I can’t imagine a more perfect day celebrating you two. Tim, I am filled with gratitude and joy to call you my brother!!”
She also revealed that their father was the officiant, writing, “And last but not least, let’s give a round of applause for our incredible officiant @realronhoward.”
One of the twins — Jocelyn Carlyle Howard
Unlike her parents and siblings, Jocelyn chose to live her life out of the spotlight.
She doesn’t use social media either. As a result, there is little to no information about her on the internet.
The only glimpse we can get into Jocelyn’s life is through her twin sister’s Instagram. Paige occasionally posts birthday greetings and nostalgic images of the Howard family.
For instance, on their 35th birthday, Paige posted a photo of herself and Jocelyn with their significant others in 2020 as a happy birthday. She wrote, “35th trip around the sun! The best birthday ever! 35 means so much to me- especially with my beloved twin sister, Jocelyn Carlyle Howard-Charbeneau by my side. 2020.”
Looking at this post, it looks like Jocelyn is married to her husband but there is no information about it.
The youngest one — Reed Cross Howard
Reed is the only son and the youngest of the siblings, who was born on April 12, 1987.
Like his sister Jocelyn, Reed chose not to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. Instead, he focused on athletics — the only one in his family.
He is currently a professional golfer with a significantly large following on Instagram and YouTube, where he routinely publishes golf videos, lessons, drills, and other content.
Reed always talks highly of his family. Despite moving from city to city as a child due to his father’s career, he claimed his parents always prioritized family time.
In an interview where he promoted Bryce’s documentary Dads, he praised his mother for keeping their family together. He said, “My mom was incredible in the way that we grew up just traveling all over, wherever my dad was filming his next movie.”
There was never a time when siblings stayed home with their mother while their father traveled around. Instead, the parents were always together and kept their family as such.
Reed gushed, “Instead of my mom just staying at home with the family and my dad traveling around, she knew my dad was a big-time family guy, so every time we moved … she would find a house to rent and new schools for us.”
Similarly, Reed talked about his father and how he was a dotting dad. Even though Ron worked hard in the movie, when he was not active on the set, he was active at home.
He would always be there for the Howard siblings and spend as much time as he could with them. “My dad was working so hard on the movie, all that coordinating stuff he wasn’t as active in … So he was very active at home. He would be there for us and we could go to set and hang out with him,” Reed added.
All in all, the Howard siblings had dotting parents who took care of them and loved them. Reed and his wife, Ashley Howard, are very much like his parents.
The duo has a daughter named Aspen Leigh Howard, whom Reed often posts on his Instagram. He always gushes about his wife and daughter, calling them his “girls” and how much he loves them.
