While many claim that Belair’s hair is fake or that she is using extensions, the wrestler has maintained that her hair and braid are real.
She talked about her hair in an interview with the Miami Herald and claimed that she has never measured her hair. However, she assured her fans and followers that her hair was “almost to the floor.”
She said, “It’s pretty long. It almost touches, I would say it’s between my ankle and my knee, so somewhere mid-calf, so that’s the length of my hair. It’s pretty long. Preparing the hair for every match is a task. I’m not even going to lie about that. It’s a task.”
Belair was asked about her iconic look on Booker T’s Hall of Fame podcast as well. She revealed that it was her husband, Montez Ford, who helped her create the look.
She admitted that when she tried it, she just liked the look of it. But her husband insisted that she wear it to the ring.
She said, “First it just came as something as I just liked the look of it. My husband taught me a lot, even from the very beginning, because he watched wrestling growing up. He was the very first person that, when I was debating wearing it to the ring or not, he told me, ‘No, you have to wear that because that makes you stand out.’”
Belair then learned that it was a lesson of “this whole thing is about unique and standing out and being different.” Moreover, Ford told her that even if the audience did not remember her name the first time, they would remember the braid.

He said, “If somebody comes to the show, and they don’t remember the name the first time they see you, but they will say, ‘Hey! That was the girl with the braid.’”
While Belair claims that the hair is hers, some of her Instagram posts show her with considerably shorter hair. So, it is unknown if the hair is hers or an extension.
Bianca Belair’s hair is her weapon
Throughout her half-decade on WWE, Belair has utilized the braid as a weapon several times. On the Hall of Fame podcast, Belair talked about the idea of using the braid as a weapon and was advised by NXT coach Sara Amato.
She pointed out, “I was in the ring with Sara Amato, and she was like ‘You might want to learn how to use that. Otherwise, why are you wearing it? Have a reason behind everything that you do.’”
And since then, Belair has used her hair to her best advantage. One time, she swung it across Shayna Baszler‘s belly, suddenly cracking like a whip and leaving an instant wound on Baszler that took weeks to heal.
She has also used it to whip fellow WWE woman superstars like Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, as well as to tie up her opponents. Without her ponytail, she would have had no edge over Banks at WrestleMania 37: Night One.
Whipping Banks with the braid propelled her to the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Once, Belair snapped and humiliated Lynch by chopping her hair in the ring.
As much as the braid has been a powerful and unusual weapon for Belair to win against her opponents, it has also been used against her, with opponents yanking it and throwing her to the mat.

Belair made her professional wrestling debut in 2016 for WWE’s developmental brand NXT, where she competed for the NXT Women’s Championship many times. After being drafted to SmackDown, she won the 2021 Women’s Royal Rumble, becoming just the second African American to do so after The Rock.
She successfully challenged Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 37, making it the second time women headlined WWE’s premier event and the first time two African Americans did so. In 2021, she was ranked first among the top 150 female wrestlers by Pro Wrestling Illustrated (PWI).
She became the longest-reigning Raw Women’s Champion in 2023, with 420 days. She has also held the WWE women’s championship for the longest time since 2006, with WWE referring to her as the contemporary era’s longest-reigning female wrestler.
This reign would also shatter two other WWE records: the longest-reigning black world champion (male or female) and the longest-reigning African American for any singles championship.
All in all, Belair is making strides in the world of wrestling, setting the bar high as far as she goes.
NBA legend Stephen Curry’s Underrated Golf U.S. Tour returns this summer for its third season.
More than just golf, the tour aims to empower underrepresented youth. Curry expects the tour to be a gateway to further opportunities for junior golfers from various backgrounds.
“Golf has always been one of the most powerful vehicles to spark professional and social conversations,” Curry said.
The event will kick off from June 21 to June 23 at Old Barnwell Golf Course in Aiken, South Carolina. The tour will then move to Pumpkin Ridge Ghost Creek Golf Club in Portland from July 8 to July 10.
The next stop is the Warren Golf Course at the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana, from July 22 to July 24. The final stop is TPC San Antonio in San Antonio from August 7 to August 9.
During the event’s climax, the Curry Cup, the top 24 best performers will face each other in a final match at The Ridgewood Country Club in Paramus, New Jersey.
Rooting for the underdogs
The tour is mainly sponsored by Curry’s lifestyle brand Underrated. Global tax advisory firm KPMG also acts as a partner for the event.
The tour player and brand ambassador for KPMG, Mariah Stackhouse, will also join as the host for KPMG Leadership Day at the Curry Cup. Stackhouse said last year’s Curry Cup and KPMG Leadership Day were special for her.
“Underrated is about so much more than golf. It’s about a shared goal of empowering the next generation in meaningful ways by imparting the critical success factors that go into winning, far beyond what you see in a final score,” she said.
“I’m honored to be part of this family alongside Steph and my friends at KPMG and look forward to elevating Underrated even further this year.”
Curry, a four-time NBA champion and two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, established Underrated in 2019. The brand aims to identify overlooked talents and provide them with a platform for recognition. According to Curry, it draws from his experiences as an underestimated athlete.
The Underrated Golf U.S. Tour includes seminars on business ethics and career paths in the industry. Athletes can also network with golf coaches and industry leaders.
Passion and expansion
Despite his basketball stardom, Curry’s love for other golf is evident with his wins in tournaments such as the American celebrity golf tournament in Nevada in 2023.
Curry, who dropped a Hole-in-One during the tournament, made the U.S. turn its attention towards him. According to rumors, many were betting on his results, including those monitoring very fast Golf in-play betting. Many celebrities congratulated him on social media, while some reporters asked if he would shift his career to golf after the swing.
His interest in golf is driven by his family, who takes golfing more seriously. His wife, Ayesha Curry, is also said to enjoy playing golf with Curry across the globe.

If all goes to plan, the top boy and girl winners from the European leg will automatically win entry into the 2024 Curry Cup.

Managerial career of Xabi Alonso
Xabi earned his license after completing the UEFA elite coaching course in 2018 and joined the Real Madrid U14s as a coach. In 2019, he was appointed manager of Segunda División B club Real Sociedad B. He coached the club until the end of the 2021-22 season.
He was appointed as the new head coach of the Bundesliga team Bayer Leverkusen on 5 October 2022. He was contracted until June 2024. The team had played eight games of the season and was placed second to bottom.
In his debut, he won against Schalke 04 with a 4-0 scoreline. At the end of the season, he finished in sixth place in the league and reached the semi-finals of the 2022–23 UEFA Europa League.
