In November 2021, HGTV’s Battle on the Beach host Ty Pennington married his longtime girlfriend, Kellee Merrell.
As per People, they had an intimate wedding ceremony with just eight guests in Savannah, Georgia.
Earlier that year, in July, the couple got engaged to each other after keeping the relationship out of the spotlight for nearly a decade.
“It’s the ‘yes’ for me…” he captioned his Instagram post, sharing a picture of the two flaunting her engagement ring.

Pennington and his wife Merrell reportedly crossed each other’s path for the first time in 2010 while he was filming a TV show in Toronto. However, their first introduction did not blossom, as they remained just friends for years.
But in 2020, they met each other again through mutual friends, and this time, they bonded well.
“I have admired Kellee from afar for years,” the television host said about his wife, who is originally from Vancouver, Canada, while speaking with People in April 2022.
He added, “She’s a beautiful person inside and out.”

In 2022, Pennington even posted a lovely video to honor the pair’s relationship and over 10 years of knowing one another.
“A story of two people who had a mutual crush but didn’t know it,” he captioned the post.
Hence, from knowing each other since 2010 to having an intimate wedding in 2021 and being happily married, the couple has made beautiful memories.
Moreover, Pennington believes marrying his “best friend” was the best and easiest decision of his life. He stated this in his pinned Instagram post that he posted in November 2022, marking a year of his marriage anniversary with his wife, Merrell.

Born and raised in Vancouver, Canada, Pennington’s wife Merrell is a social media manager, a role involving managing a brand’s presence on social platforms.
But despite working as a social media manager, she strangely does not seem to have any active public social media accounts such as Twitter, Instagram, or TikTok.
Hence, no further details about the television presenter’s partner are known publicly.

As far as one knows, Pennington and his wife Merrell are yet to have children. In addition, the couple has also not shared any plans of having kids or details on why they haven’t had children so far.

He often posted pictures of a young girl on Instagram, whom his followers referred to as his daughter. But the young girl is apparently his niece.
He once posted her, writing, “Growing Pains…It’s such an incredible proud feeling to watch this smart, independent , beautiful human being blossom in to a wickedly wise woman.”
Not just that, during an interview with Parade in December 2012, he revealed that he had a lifelong ambition to coach a Little League soccer team. He further hinted that he might take one of the kids to a World Cup game someday.
