American singer Normani, aka Normani Kordei Hamilton, has cleared her Instagram feed, and fans are happy about it!

Netizens believe she took this action to release her new music, which her fans have been waiting for a long time. Another reason why fans believe Normani is releasing new music and even a new album is because she has been liking tweets about the topic.

One keen user noticed this activity and took to Reddit to share the details. They shared a couple of screenshots with the caption, “Normani has cleared her instagram and likes tweets about new music.”

The first screenshot showed a clean slate of Normani’s official Instagram handle, with no posts or a profile picture. Similarly, the second and third slides were screenshots of her Twitter handle showing the “Likes” section.

Over there, it could be seen that she had liked a couple of tweets from her fans who believed her activity over Instagram hinted at the release of her new music. One of the fan tweets she had liked read, “.@normani announce the ALBUM this time.”

This particular fan tweet that Normani had liked led many of her fans to believe that she might not just be releasing a new song; there might be a whole new album that she was releasing.

One excited fan took to the comment section of the Reddit post and commented, “I’m excited because she released Wild Side last time she cleared out her IG, so we should be close.”

On the other hand, some netizens were skeptical as there had been no new music from Normani for ages. “She has been edging us for years, and it’s kinda hard to get it up anymore. Please let this finally be it,” one Redditor wrote.

Likewise, another Reddit user wrote, “I’m not getting my hopes up. Normani, you will not play with my emotions again. I’ve been waiting 5 yrs for your Album, and I’m tired. Motivation was amazing then you went silent. Just going to watch and wait!”

As the above fan mentioned, it has been five years since Normani released a new solo album. However, in recent times, there have been numerous rumors regarding the singer finally releasing new music and even a new album.

For instance, it’s speculated that Normani’s new album is titled The Butterfly Effect. Moreover, in June 2023, DeuxMoi revealed a tip they got from an anonymous source, confirming that the album would indeed be titled The Butterfly Effect.

Additionally, the anonymous insider revealed that the said album wouldn’t be released on the previously speculated date – May 2023 – and that fans will have to wait for more months. At the time, it was mentioned that the new release date was August 2023.

The source also reported that there were even possibilities that the date would get pushed again. So, considering that it’s currently February 2024 and the album isn’t out yet, it can be assumed that the release date was once again pushed back.

That said, there was one new update that came in August 2023; it was revealed that Normani signed a new management team in August 2023. Rolling Stone reported that Brandon Creed and Lydia Asrat now manage the singer.

This news came months after she left her now-former management, S10 Entertainment’s Brandon Silverstein, in May 2023. At the same time, a rep for Normani released a statement to the Rolling Stone, revealing Normani has new music on the way.

They stated, “With new music on the horizon, and Asrat and Creed now at the helm of her musical career, she and the rest of her team are extremely excited to embark on this new chapter and partnership. She wishes Silverstein all the best.”
