Nicola Coughlan is very private about her dating life.

She has not talked much about it and has not revealed if she is dating anyone at the moment. However, it is reported that she is currently dating her boyfriend, Eamon Farren.

Farren, who was born May 19, 1985, is an Australian actor. After acting in the films X: Night of Vengeance (2011) and Chained (2012), he rose to notoriety as Richard Horne in the 2017 revival of Twin Peaks.

He received the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts (AACTA) award for Best Guest Or Supporting Actor in a Television Drama in 2015 for his performance in the television film Carlotta (2014).

Farren has recently acted in films such as Winchester (2018) and the television shows The ABC Murders (2018) and The Witcher (2019-present). Likewise, his upcoming films are My First Film and Addition, both of which are in post-production.

Coming back to Coughlan and Farren, it is reported that the two are not just dating but are engaged as well.

The news came from DeuxMoi, the Instagram page that reports about celebrities with the help of anonymous sources. One such source told them that Coughlan was spotted in Mayfair with “a very tall, very handsome and tan man.”

They did not know who the person was but speculated that it might either be her boyfriend or fiance. The source claimed that they saw a big ring on her left ring finger, but they could not take a closer look — fueling the speculation that the Bridgerton actress was engaged.

The source noted that Coughlan and her partner were very cozy and kept to themselves but did not reveal the identity of her mystery man. In another submission, it was revealed that Coughlan was on a dinner date with Farren.

However, the anonymous source claimed that they did not know if the date was romantic, but the two grew close while filming Big Mood. Big Mood is a six-part comedy series for Channel 4 that Camilla Whitehill wrote and created, directed by Rebecca Asher, and stars Coughlan and Lydia West.

The show revolves around Maggie (Coughlan) and Eddie (West), who have been best friends for a decade. But the question is, will their connection survive in an environment of heightened job, life, and mental health pressures?

Farren is one of the actors in the show, but his role has not been revealed yet. It is possible that Farren is not her boyfriend, but the two are just friends who grew close after working on a project together.

So, unless Coughlan or Farren talk about them dating or getting engaged, everything is mere speculation. 

As mentioned earlier, Coughlan is private about her love life. She has never talked about her dating life and boyfriend to date, so it is highly unlikely that she will talk about it in the near future.

She once talked about her love life during her interview with Marie Claire Australia in September 2023. She mentioned the downside of dating and how she did not want a period-era boyfriend.

She also revealed that men making a joker impression was a red flag for her. She said, “Just don’t…do that. That’s just an immediate ick, and it’s never good. I know that’s very specific.” Other than this, she has not talked about her dating life or relationships.
