Perhaps nothing screams “we are in love with each other” more than getting a matching tattoo with your significant other.

Mads Lewis recently got a matching tattoo with her boyfriend, Hayden Yezak, and shared it with her fans and followers on her Instagram Stories. The duo got a tattoo of an acorn with the words “A Kiss” inked on their body — a Peter Pan reference.

Lewis got it tattooed on her back, below her left shoulder, whereas her boyfriend got it on his hand. The two got the matching tattoo to mark their 10-month dating anniversary.

The influencer and her body ink with her boyfriend were shared on various Instagram pages, including @tiktokroomtm and @teatoktalk, where fans and followers of the couple discussed the matching tattoo.

The body ink received mixed reactions from the netizens. Many were happy for the couple, claiming that it was an adorable way to show their dedication to each other. However, most were disappointed in Lewis and her getting matching tattoos.

Many noted that Lewis had gotten matching tattoos with her former boyfriends, only to break up with them a couple of weeks later. A netizen wrote, “She gets a tattoo with all her bfs and then they become exs,” and another noted, “She’s never with a guy for over a year but she still does matching tattoos with every single one. I love her but can’t she wait until it’s been at least a year.”

Similarly, one of the netizens commented, “Didn’t she also get matching tattoos with Jaden [Hossler] and her other ex? I say give it 2 months then they’re breaking up.” Another wrote, “Listen I love her and her boyfriend they are a great couple I wish them nothing but the best of the best but no love just no like it’s ur relationship it’s ur body but girly no u don’t even know if u gonna be with him forever.”

Netizens also pointed out that getting a matching tattoo was like a curse in the TikTok community. “Why TikTok couples always get matching tattoos it’s like so cursed,” one of them wondered. 

Many pointed out that Lewis had gotten a matching tattoo with her ex-boyfriend, Jaden Hossler, and they did not even date for a year. Similarly, Hossler got different matching tattoos with his former girlfriend, Nessa Barrett, but the duo parted ways after dating for a little over a year.

Recently, Charli D’Amelio and her former boyfriend, Landon Barker, broke up and the couple was known for their matching tattoo. So, many netizens noted that influencers getting the same body ink was a sign of break up.

“A sign of a break up!! She did this with Jayden too and other couples, mess’s [Barrett] and Jayden, Charli, and Landon,” one of them commented. 

However, some netizens are still hoping that the duo will end up together for a long time. One of them wrote, “They been tg for 10… they’re going strong…. also another reason why she keeping it private.”

“Honestly my opinion but I see these two actually lasting longer than her past relationships during her relationship with Hayden not once has she spoken about her past relationships and honestly she seems genuinely happy but I do think matching tattoos is a bad idea due to her past,” another commented. 

Lewis has not responded to the mixed comments from netizens. However, this is not the first time Lewis got a matching tattoo with her boyfriend.

On November 10, 2023, Lewis shared a cute photo of her and Yezak’s index fingers on Instagram Stories. The letters “LO” decorated one finger, while “VE” adorned the other.

When they interlocked their fingers, the tattoos formed the word “Love.” They had received mixed reactions to their body art, but Lewis did not respond to any of them.

Lewis and Yezak announced their relationship in an Instagram post on May 15, 2023. The influencer posted a photo of her boyfriend holding her from behind, expressing their love for each other to the world.

Yezak also shared a photo on Instagram from the same day, showing him and Lewis from behind. In the photo, the actress was dressed in a gray crop top and a matching pants jumpsuit, while her lover donned a white and blue striped t-shirt with a Mickey Mouse motif and blue jeans.

Since then, the couple has often shared memories of their love on Instagram. On July 15, 2023, Yezak shared a series of photos with Lewis, depicting personal moments between the two. He captioned the photo, “My girl,” demonstrating his admiration for her.

Similarly, on September 17, 2023, the couple posted a series of black and white photos of themselves with the caption “Austin, Texas.” Most recently, on March 3, 2024, they posted a couple of photos of each other with the caption, “Wait, can you take photo of us…thanks.”

Despite posting several adorable photos of themselves, they have not revealed how they met and began dating.
