Aja Naomi King’s Husband Dan King On Being A Full-Time Dad

Aja Naomi King is living her happy married life with her husband, Dan King, and son Kian. The pair welcomed their rainbow baby in June 2021.

Before Kian, Aja was pregnant twice with kids. Unfortunately, she miscarried both times. So when she and her spouse welcomed Kian, the pair were delighted.

Going through the pair’s social media, it is evident that Aja and Dan are devoted to their baby. Dan, however, has taken the responsibility of being a “full-time papa” to Kian.

Dan shared his feelings about being a proud father to Kian and husband to the How to Get Away with Murder star in an interview with Matrescence on June 20, 2022.

Dan King —  Proud husband and full-time father

Matrescence sat down with Dan and talked about his life as a father and his career on Father’s Day, 2022.

Dan elaborated on his commitment to being present with his family and building a life based on wellness, self-care, and maintaining an open mind regarding parenthood.

When Dan learned his wife was pregnant, he was happy yet scared. They had had two miscarriages beforehand, so they knew about the risks that would come with Aja’s third pregnancy.

So, for the well-being of both, Dan knew that “staying present” was necessary. The two had decided they did not want to be separated while dealing with pregnancy.

Throughout the journey, Dan was a dotting husband, feeding his wife the best nutritious food that would benefit Aja and their baby. He confessed that he is “very passionate about cooking and fascinated by the impact nutrients have on our bodies and overall health.”

He knew he “could be of the greatest support” when it came to making food. So, he ensured he would find the fresh and nutrient-dense ingredients to make meals that Aja would love.

Moreover, Dan never made Aja feel like she was going through the pregnancy alone. He gave up alcohol, went on walks, and meditated with his wife to show his dedication to her and their baby.

Dan admitted that his life had been turned upside down after having Kian. He said, “It has been turned upside down. Everything has changed. It feels as intense as it is rewarding.”

“I am a proud full time father now,” he added. He is trying his best to raise his child “without burning the candle on both sides.”

He realized that everything needs “detailed planning and efficient execution.” He is a detailed planner and likes taking care of anything in advance.

But after having Kian, he came to the terms of expecting the unexpected. So, he learned how to be flexible and improvise.

As a result, if things do not go according to his plans, he does not allow himself to be swayed. This way, he has “remained joyful” and has not missed out on staying present with his son.

In the interview, Dan proudly shared how adaptable Kian is. He said, “Our son is very adaptable and open to changes in our plans because we remain calm and easy around him.”

Aja and Dan prioritize their baby, but that does not mean they neglect themselves. So, they balance everything accordingly, including asking for help to spend some alone time together.

He said, “The better care we take of ourselves, the better we can show up as parents.”

As a full-time dad, Dan learned to model boundaries and self-love by caring for himself. He noted, “If you sacrifice your own well-being for their sake, then your baby will internalize that sacrifice equals love, but if you take care of yourself and demonstrate boundaries and a care of your own well-being as well as theirs, then they can learn how that can be a healthy way to express love for themselves and others.”

He learned what would be easy to impart to Kian that would be impactful as well. Dan noticed that his son was interested in what he was doing and wanted to participate with his dad.

So he does things that would help both him and his son. For instance, he shared that when he works out, he gives Kian little weights.

Similarly, when Dan does breath work, Kian mimics his father inhaling and exhaling. Dan said, “I love sharing all of this with him, I hope I’m helping him to establish a framework for connected, peaceful living.”

The World’s Most Luxurious Casinos

If you want to visit a casino that is as iconic from the outside as it is on the inside, then Marina Bay Sands is one of the perfect destinations.

Published

The World’s Most Luxurious Casinos

The casino might just be the epitome of luxury – opulent surroundings and well-heeled patrons, drinking top shelf bourbon and champagne as they bet their millions on the turn of a card. It is a well-established trope in movies and TV, and thanks to popular cultural ideals, going to the casino has become synonymous with a glamorous night out.

Now, of course, we can bring the casino experience into our own home – thanks to the prevalence of online casinos and sports books. We don’t even have to get dressed to spin the roulette wheel or beat the dealer in blackjack.

We can take advantage of bonuses and all sorts of other extras when we sign up for a new player account online – and if you are in Pennsylvania, there are a lot of great PA online casino no deposit bonus offers available.

With that being said, nothing beats the experience of visiting an opulent casino in real life – and if you want to get the best out of the experience, you don’t even have to go to Las Vegas.

Become a globetrotter and visit some of the most beautiful, historical, and visually stunning casinos in the world, from the list below.

Wynn, Macau

Let’s start in the Special Administrative Region of Macau, in China. Macau has been dubbed the Las Vegas of Asia – and for good reason. Thanks to the special designation of the region, gambling is legal here – and the major casino companies have taken full advantage.

The Wynn Resort in Macau is everything that you want from a casino, as well as more than 1,000 rooms and suites, restaurants, bars, spas, and pools. You’ll find specially curated entertainment and more gaming areas than you could imagine – all in the luxuriously designed resort.

Casino de Monte Carlo, Monaco

Built in 1863, the Casino de Monte Carlo is one of the oldest casinos in the world. The complex that houses the casino is also the home of the Opera de Monte Carlo and the office of Les Ballets de Monte Carlo.

Monaco is recognized as a playground for the wealthy, and in some ways the Casino de Monte Carlo is the center of that – designed specifically for tourists and foreigners (Royal rule dictates that residents of Monaco are not allowed inside the casino), it has been associated with some of the most well-heeled patrons in the world.

James Bond always comes to mind when we think of Monte Carlo, and the casino was also the location for Ocean’s Twelve as well as many other popular movies.

Marina Bay Sands, Singapore

If you want to visit a casino that is as iconic from the outside as it is on the inside, then Marina Bay Sands is the perfect destination. Alongside a vibrant and luxurious casino floor with 2,300 slots and 600 gaming tables, the complex is also home to the world’s largest infinity pool and there is even an art and science museum.

The eye-catching architecture has become iconic in Singapore, and visiting here is definitely an experience you will never forget.

The Bellagio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas

We had to visit at least one casino in Vegas, so why not make it the Bellagio? This might be the most famous hotel and casino in Sin City, and for good reason.

Not only does it house outstanding casino games and slot machines in surroundings that are dripping with opulence, but it is also just as lovely outside. No visit to the Bellagio would be complete without watching the dancing fountains moving to the music on the purpose-built lake.

The iconic interior made it the perfect choice as the central location for the ultimate heist film Ocean’s Eleven. If you want a break from the gaming tables, then why not visit the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Arts?

The Bellagio is just the casino that you would imagine when you think about Las Vegas luxury – and it is an obvious icon that everyone will recognize.

The Kurhaus of Baden Baden, Germany

The Kurhaus was built back in 1820, and although it is less grand in stature than some of the other locations on this list, it more than makes up for it in luxury.

Set in the Black Forest, Baden Baden is a small village that has recently been awarded World Heritage Site status by UNESCO, so if you tire of the gaming tables and the fine dining on offer in the casino itself, you have a wealth of beautiful European countryside to explore.

Inside the elegant and well-designed casino there are a number of function rooms, making it the home of several different events throughout the year – in particular classical music concerts.

The combination of luxury and history is probable the reason why Marlene Dietrich described it as “the most beautiful casino in the world.”
