Married Life With Chris Perez
Although there are missing details about her age and family life, it cannot be said when it comes to her relationship life. As everyone knows, Vanessa was in a marital relationship with Chris Perez.
Christopher Gilbert Pérez, famously known as Chris Perez, is a well-known American guitarist. He has been a part of different music groups till now such as Kumbia Kings, Selena y Los Dinos, and Kumbia All Starz.
Continuing with Vanessa and Chris’s relationship, they first met each other around 1996-1997 via a common friend named John Garza. Following their first meet, they began to see each other more often and eventually fell in love.
Their relationship officially began in 1998. Almost three years later, in 2001, they decided to walk down the aisle. Their wedding ceremony was officiated on October 26, 2001.
Few years after their wedding, the duo welcomed children into their family. Together, they were blessed with two children, a son named Noah Perez and a daughter named Cassie Perez. Following the birth of children, everything seemed fine in the family.
But, the happiness was just limited to the outside world. And, after seven years of marriage, they filed for divorce in 2008. It is believed that the reason for their separation is the guitarist’s alcoholism and substance abuse.
Chris Was Previously Married
Before being Vanessa’s husband and a father to two children, Chris was in a marital bond with a Spanish singer named Selena Quintanilla.
The two former couple met each other in 1989 when the guitarist joined Selena’s band titled Selena y Los Dinos. They two not only became an important part of the band but also of each other’s life.
Following two years of relationship, they shared the wedding vows on April 2, 1992. However, as Selena’s parents were against her relationship with Chris, they had to elope for a while, before her parents eventually accepted the duo.
The two lovers were relishing their marital life. But, an unfortunate event struck them that changed everything. Chris and Selena’s romantic marital life came to an end when the Spanish singer was murdered by her manager, Yolanda Saldivar, on March 31, 1995.
Years after the death of Selena, Chris was finally able to get over it. But, it wasn’t enough to forget the love of his life. To honor Selena’s memory and give tribute to her, Chris even wrote a book titled “To Selena, With Love” which was originally published on March 6, 2012.
