Singer-songwriter Bobby Brown is a successful American personality in the music industry. However, the 55-year-old singer has been met with several unfortunate events in his lifetime, including the death of his two children.
Brown had to endure the deaths of two of his beloved children, Bobbi Christina and Bobby Jr. However, he still remembers them in his heart and runs the Bobbi Kristina Serenity House Gala: A Night of Inspiration, Empowerment, and Hope every year.
The Grammy-winning singer also attended a charity event that raises funds for domestic violence centers. He spoke about the gala in an exclusive interview with People.
Brown shared that it was a great event and a beautiful night, which meant a great deal for him. He reveals that he was glad to see all the faces and reporters who care about what he cares about.
“Because it’s getting rough out there for a lot of different people, and it’s just good to have support, to help try to eradicate domestic violence,” he says. In the interview, he also talks about his daughter, who was a part of the domestic violence situation which cost her life.
He said his daughter is always on his mind and heart, and helping others with her name feels like therapy. His daughter was not the only one he remembered on this day, and he also talked about his son, Bobby Brown Jr., who passed away in 2020.
Brown says both his children visit his dreams to this day. He says that these dreams were reoccurring whenever he was asleep.
“I tend to dream about both of ’em, my son and my daughter, which is helpful for me. Just being able to see their faces and I see ’em smiling, it helps me out in a big way,” he says.
The deaths of the two essential members of his life have caused massive trauma to him. In this interview, he mentioned that he is still seeing a therapist.
He also said, “Just being able to talk about it helps out. Also, prayer always works. And staying busy. I try to keep myself as busy as possible, doing different things.”
The death of Bobby Brown’s daughter, Bobbi Christina
Brown’s daughter was found unconscious at her residence in Roswell, Georgia, in January of 2015. Discovered in her bathtub, she was immediately rushed to North Fulton Hospital and placed on a ventilator.
Her condition was critical, and she was kept in a medically induced coma to stop the swelling of her brain. Several media reported that her brain activity was low, and Brown himself released a statement to the press asking them to respect the family’s privacy.
Brown’s daughter was then transferred to the Emory University Hospital, but her condition worsened. She was removed from the ventilator and kept in the hospice after doctors concluded her brain function would not improve.

She was kept in the kept in Hospice’s care located in Duluth, Georgia, where she ultimately passed away. Several media reports announced that she passed away on July 26, 2015, at the very young age of 22.
The cause of her death was due to drug intoxication and immersion in water. However, the primary cause of all this was domestic violence. Christina’s then-boyfriend, Nick Gordon, was found legally responsible for her death and ordered to pay $36 million.
Brown’s family filed a civil case against him in 2016 and won by default after Gordon did not appear in two civil case hearings. However, Gordon, too, met a very tragic ending, cutting off his life in February of 2020.
As per statements from Florida’s Districts 5 & 24 medical examiner’s office, he died due to heroin toxicity. He was found dead in Seminole County at the age of 30, with caffeine, morphine, and naloxone found in his systems.
Gordon’s attorney, Joe Hebachy, mourned his death, stating his heart sank when he heard the news. He told the reporters that Gordon was trying to stay away from drugs despite his past.
“He worked hard to hold his head up and stay sober and … he genuinely wanted a happy healthy life with his family more than anything else,” his attorney said. He also expressed his condolences to Gordon’s family and friends, as well as other families dealing with losses and heartaches caused by drugs.
Bobby Brown’s son, Bobby Brown Jr., died five years after his daughter Bobbi Christina’s death
After the loss of his dear daughter, Brown experienced yet another loss of an essential person in the family. Several media reported this tragic news after the confirmation from the Los Angeles Police on November 18, 2020.
Bobby Jr. was found dead in his home in Los Angeles after someone asked for a medical emergency. Brown asked people to pray for his family at this difficult time.
“Losing my son at this point in our lives has devastated my family. There are no words to explain the pain,” he says. The cause of the death was not determined at first but later ruled as an accidental overdose of fentanyl, cocaine, and alcohol.
Although the case looked like a simple drug overdose, Brown and his ex-wife Kim Ward stated that someone provided him with the drugs, and he didn’t have an addiction.
Ward said that Bobby Jr. was easily influenced by his surroundings, and he was associated with some bad influences at that time. She also claimed that whoever provided the drugs should be held accountable.
