Now 44-year-old actor was into wrong patterns in his life back then, which became the reason for the downshift of his career.

In an interview with The Independent on June 2022, he said, “It wasn’t completely my choice to take the break. I was burnt out, I was drinking too much. I was partying too much.”

He also revealed how much he hated being caged up to his teen heartthrob status, and he found it hard to make the shift to being taken seriously as an adult actor.

“I had to smoke pot in movies, and I had to be in a hip-hop video,” Sawa said, referring to his act in Eminem’s 2000 song, ‘Stan,’ “That’s what I felt like I had to do to get away from ‘Can I keep you?’”

He also explained to the magazine how he was always drunk between 2001 and 2009 and became sober after going to Vancouver, where he met his wife after a few years.

“After a couple of years, I met my wife and we went away to southeast Asia. I wrestled with the idea of never acting again,” he said, “I had started doing a little bit of real estate in Vancouver. I bought a little old building and started to renovate it myself.”

His wife is Canadian producer Dawni Sahanovitch. They got hitched in 2013, and they have a son and a daughter together.

Comeback to the film business by an accident

A Ressurection actor claimed that he is back in the film business only by chance. Speaking to the magazine Us Weekly in September 2017, he explained how it started by someone from his agency sent him to audition despite the break he wanted from the industry.

The Canadian actor said, “I was brought back into the business by accident. Somebody at my agency didn’t get the memo that I quit and sent me an audition I put myself on tape and that was it. I didn’t get it. It was for the Max Payne movie with Mark Wahlberg. But I did really well and the casting director wanted to meet me and I did.”

He further revealed that at that point he thought being in acting was what he loved, and that was what he always wanted to do. “So I don’t know why I stepped away in the first place,” he expressed regretfully.

He told the magazine that he would still be out of acting if somebody hadn’t sent him to the audition. He expressed the joy of being back, “I was happy with what I was doing but I’m happier now. I’m happier back doing what I really love.”

McNally joined the cast of Hallmark Channel’s When Calls the Heart in 2018. He played Lucas Bouchard, a charming gambler and saloon owner, who is hiding more than a card up his sleeve.

Everyone has been nothing but supportive, so it did take a little bit of recalibrating for me… Like a wave of hatred, this was.

People wrote to him, saying things like, “You’re awful,” and “You’re a pretty good actor. Why don’t you just get a job on another show?” he said.

Mila Kunis On Being Photographed Without Makeup

Mila Kunis was born on August 14, 1983, to a Jewish family in Chernivtsi, Ukraine. In 1991, her family moved to Los Angeles, California.

Kunis performed in Make a Wish, Molly as Melinda, which was her first gig. Her career then took off into big-budget movies.

She may be best known for her role as Jackie Burkhart on That ’70s Show in 1998, but she has proven to the world that she is capable of much more. She has performed the voice of Meg Griffin, the self-conscious daughter, in the animated sitcom Family Guy since 1999.

In Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), which was her breakthrough film, she portrayed the free-spirited Rachel Jansen.

Since then, she has appeared in or co-starred in the movies Max Payne, The Book of Eli, Black Swan, Friends with Benefits, Ted, and Oz the Great and Powerful.

Kunis has received accolades for her humorous charm and distinctive speaking voice over the years in well-liked television shows and videos. She has demonstrated a variety of looks while portraying an array of characters.

Additionally, several of her previous appearances have included amazing makeup creations, even if she tended to keep things casual in the beauty department for the romantic comedy Friends with Benefits and the sitcom That ’70s Show.

Mila Kunis without makeup

Kunis has been photographed without makeup on numerous occasions. She appeared without makeup after receiving massage therapy in Studio City, California, in December 2012, according to E! News.

However, Kunis noted that this wasn’t a particularly novel experience for her. “I don’t wear makeup. I don’t wash my hair every day. It’s not something that I associate with myself.”

But according to her, there’s no shame in opting for a full face. She continued, “I commend women who wake up 30 to 40 minutes early to put on eyeliner. I think it’s beautiful. I’m just not that person.”

Kunis revealed one reason she doesn’t apply makeup daily. She admitted to Harper’s Bazaar in 2014, “I think because I have to do it every day for work, when I don’t work, I get out of the shower, and I don’t do anything to it.” And Kunis doesn’t want her pictures dramatically photoshopped, either.

She told Glamour, “I hate it. There was a company that I did a photo shoot for once that manipulated the photo so much that I was like, ‘That’s not even me.’ Like, what’s the point?” However, Kunis is open to a little finessing on camera. She explained, “Now, do I sometimes want them to depuff my eyes? Help me out with a little bit of lighting.”

Mila Kunis looked flawless with a “no makeup” look.

It takes a certain degree of inner courage to walk onto the red carpet in front of bright camera lights and much harsher public scrutiny. It takes much more effort to do it without much makeup, yet Mila Kunis routinely pulls it off.

She even appeared on the cover of Glamour in 2016 without much, if any, makeup on.

Although some backlash for the actor’s “no makeup” look is unavoidable, it’s actually lovely to see the celebrity flaunting her natural self and being cool with it.
