How Did Connor Jessup And Boyfriend Miles Heizer Meet?

The 25-year-old Canadian actor, best known for his work on TNT’s Falling Skies and ABC’s American Crime Story, posted the announcement about his sexuality on Instagram.

On his 25th birthday, Connor Jessup took to Instagram to come out as gay in 2019.

He wrote, “I knew I was gay when I was thirteen, but I hid it for years. I folded it and slipped it under the rest of my emotional clutter. I’m a white, cis man from an upper-middle class liberal family.”

“Acceptance was never a question. But still, suspended in all this privilege, I balked. It took me years. It’s ongoing. I’m saying this now because I have conspicuously not said it before. I’ve been out for years in my private life, but never quite publicly,” Jessup added.

After publicly coming out as gay and making his relationship with 13 Reasons Why actor Miles Heizer Instagram official, the Canadian actor, who is currently starring in Netflix’s new supernatural series Locke & Key, has quickly established himself as one of TV’s hottest out and proud stars.

Connor Jessup’s relationship with boyfriend Miles Heizer

According to Jessup, he has been dating Heizer, who portrays Alex Standall on the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why. He describes their relationship as “nothing like any other” and credits it with giving him the confidence to come out in public.

The two met in 2018 when Jessup messaged Heizer on Instagram out of an online crush (a few glasses of wine may have been involved). He said, “I guess it could have been worse. It could have been Grindr.”

Jessup raved over the 13 Reasons Why actor in a heartfelt Valentine’s Day message. He wrote to his boyfriend, “I’m late but I love you, you’re good, you make me better, happy v+1 day,” sharing a beautiful picture of the duo.

What inspired Connor Jessup to come out?

The factor that led to me deciding to come out, and I guess maybe one of the sparks at the beginning of the fuse, was that I fell in love”, Jessup explained to the attitude magazine.

“When you’re happy, you want to be happy publicly, and it made me think about the whole construction of my life in a way that I had been avoiding. Jessup, who received his big break in the US science fiction series Falling Skies from 2011 to 2015, added, “I probably wouldn’t have [come out] if that hadn’t happened.”

Jessup further admitted, “This is my first time being in love.” The native of Toronto continued that looking back, it felt surreal to talk about the gay characters he has portrayed while still being closeted, like Taylor Blaine on American Crime Story season 2.

He revealed, “I’m grateful to be gay. Queerness is a solution. It’s a promise against cliché and solipsism and blandness; it’s a tilted head and an open window. I value more everyday the people, movies, books, and music that open me to it.”

Although the couple does not share as many posts on social media, Jessup and Heizer are now proudly enjoying their love life.

Ron Funches’ Weight Loss Journey: Once Lost Over 100 Pounds

Ron Funches has had an incredible weight loss journey where he lost over 100 pounds.

Funches is an American actor, comedian, and writer best known for various movies and shows like The Adventures of Puss in Boots, BoJack Horseman, Trolls, Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, Adventure Time, Harley Quinn, Hoops, and Final Space

Funches did not look the same as he does now. A couple of years ago, he went through an intense weight loss where he shed over 100 pounds.

Now, Funches is fit and healthy and tries to maintain it like that.

Ron Funches’s inspiration for weight loss

In May 2017, Funches revealed that he weighed over 360 lbs in The Adam Carolla Show. Over the years, he lost weight but was not inspired to do so until he had health issues.

He wasn’t breathing regularly when he weighed 360 pounds. His knees were bothering him, and he suffered from sleep apnea.

People who cared about him were concerned about his obesity-related health issues. Fans, relatives, and others were worried about his intense health issues.

Funches knew that if he did not lose weight, he would be unable to work and live a normal life. He told People, “My mom had mentioned a couple of times that she had been concerned, and she never mentioned it before, so when she brought that up, it made me take notice.”

“And then I have my son [Malcolm], who’s 12, and I was seeing that his habits weren’t [healthy], and that I was probably a bad influence on him. I wanted to change that,” he explained.

Similarly, his career was also another motivating factor to fuel his weight loss journey. He recognized he was being typecast in Hollywood because of his weight.

It restricted the sorts of occupations he could get, with titles like “homeless man” or “gang member” being given to him. As a result, he realized that he needed to change his lifestyle to live a happy life.

Ron Funches’s weight loss journey

In December 2014, Funches began to take his weight loss seriously. He changed his diet, eliminating confectionery and sugary drinks.

He started making healthy decisions and controlled his food intake. He ate Greek yogurt with fruit and crunchy cereal for breakfast or oatmeal with fruit, berries, or peanut butter.

Lunch consisted of a turkey sandwich or a small tortilla, while supper consisted of chicken stir-fry or halibut. Alongside diet, Funches started exercising.

He met with his trainer Jorgen DeMay three times a week for cardio, weight training, and boxing sessions. On days he worked out on his own, he jogged two miles on an incline twice a day.

Moreover, he had also been doing spin classes. Funches noted the most admirable aspect of weight loss is how much energy he now has.

He said, “I can do a lot more things without being tired and sweaty. And I like nice clothes, so it’s nice to be able to buy a nice a jacket.”

With diet and exercise, he lost 140 lbs. In 2020, he proudly said how he has managed to maintain his weight in The Joe Rogan Podcast.

He opened up about his schedule and said he trained around twice a week. Since he worked on the computer and streamed on Twitch continuously, he ran on the treadmill twice daily.

He confessed that he started and ended his day on the treadmill, which is how he has maintained his weight loss.
