Netizens then found out that she once worked in a Vin Diesel movie — 2005’s The Pacifier. In it, she is credited as Firefly #1, a member of the Girl Scouts. Her popularity was further boosted afterward.

Maria Georgas’s parents have already divorced

Born in 1994, Maria celebrates her birthday every year on August 27, making her 29 years of age as of February 2024. She was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, so her nationality is Canadian. Likewise, her zodiac sign is Virgo.

Coming over to her parents, she was primarily raised by her single father, Nick Georgas. Due to that, she has a very close relationship with her father and often features him on her Instagram handle, especially on special occasions.

For instance, on her father’s 60th birthday on June 27, 2023, she shared a couple of pictures with her father and wrote, “The man, the myth, the legend. Happy Birthday pops. 60 never looked better. Love you!!! Enjoy Bahamas. Don’t go in shark-infested waters.”

But what about her mother? What’s Maria’s mother’s name? As of this writing, there are no details available about her biological mother, including her name, as Maria hasn’t divulged about her mom either in her interviews or on social media handles.

However, during her intro video, The Bachelor season 28 contestant briefly opened up about seeing her parents first separate and then get divorced and how her parents’ divorce impacted her views on romantic relationships.

She mentioned that her parents initially separated and ultimately divorced when she was young. Maria later confessed that her parents’s split affected her own relationships, as she pushed people away out of fear of them leaving.

Besides that, Maria hasn’t disclosed any other details about her parents and their divorce. That said, she recently mentioned that her father has since married another woman. In June 2023, she took to her Instagram to wish her father on his birthday.

Seeing how cool her father looked in the picture, one Instagram user mentioned Maria and asked if her father was single. In reply, Maria first thanked them for complimenting her dad and noted that her father is currently married.

But she didn’t mention the details of her father’s current wife, her stepmother. Nonetheless, she once featured her stepmom on her Instagram handle a couple of years ago, in 2021, on the special occasion of Father’s Day.

As for Maria’s siblings, there is currently no information on that part. To this date, the reality TV star hasn’t disclosed whether she is her parents’ only child or has any siblings.

On June 18, 2017, Maria took to her Instagram handle to share a throwback picture of when she was still a child. She was seen with her father and two other children in the image. While it’s not fully confirmed, the other two kids in the photo might be Maria’s siblings.

However, there is no evidence to prove that. Maria hadn’t tagged anyone on the post or mentioned anything, except for her caption that read, “Happy Father’s Day pops.” So, while the two other children might be Maria’s siblings, they might also not be her siblings.

Maria Georgas’ father is the president of a candy company

Speaking more about Maria’s father, Nick is the proud president of Jubilee Candy Corp, a leading manufacturer of various confectionery lines specializing in cake decorations for the baking industry. He also has over 35 years of experience in the Candy and Baking Industry.

As per Nick’s LinkedIn profile, he was enrolled at the University of Toronto, where he studied Finance. Later, he joined Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Chicago. The switch from Finance to Culinary Arts might be because his family was in the same line.

In 1973, he started his professional career as an equipment operator at Global Candy Ltd. in Toronto. He worked on the equipment, making chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, and held the position till 1979. In the same year, he joined G&G Candy Inc.

He worked as a production manager at the Toronto-based candy company until 1996. In January 1996, he joined the Mississauga-based Can-Pan Candy Inc. as the President of Sales. He held the position till 2007.

Finally, in January 2009, he joined Jubilee Candy Corp. as their President. As mentioned, the company manufactures confectionery lines – sugar, sprinkles, edible confetti, and more – used in cake decorating.

In his LinkedIn profile, Nick mentioned that he has been involved in the candy business since age 10. So, it can be said that his daughter, Maria, had no shortage of candies, which she affirmed in one of her TikTok videos.

In the same TikTok video, Maria also revealed that her grandfather was involved in the same line and owned a chocolate factory, meaning the Georgas family has been involved in the candy business for a long time.

“A fun fact: my grandfather owned a chocolate factory with his family – my dad was involved – it was their family business. So, growing up, all I heard was like my ‘dad’s willy wonka,’ which is so funny. I love it,” the 29-year-old TV star recalled.

As Maria continued, she stated that her grandfather told the chocolate business for some reason, and her father ventured out and did something on his own – sprinkles. She then joked about how her dad looked like a rock star but was a candy man.
