Mariah Covarrubias and Bill Ritter, famously known as Mariah and Bill on TikTok, have finally tied the knot!
The renowned TikTok couple walked down the aisle and shared their wedding vows on Friday, February 23, 2024. Their wedding was held at The Club at The Strand in Naples, Florida, and was attended by around 120 guests, including friends and family.
Since their wedding, Mariah has taken her then-boyfriend’s last name. On their wedding day, Mariah and Bill took to their respective Instagram handles to make a joint post. They had shared a series of pictures captured at the beach.
In the caption, Mariah wrote, “February 23rd, 2024, the day we are becoming husband and wife! Can’t believe today is the day! Been dreaming of this moment since I was a little girl. NOW LETS GET MARRIED.”
A day after their wedding, the newly married couple made another joint Instagram post, sharing pictures taken after they shared their vows. “Mr. & Mrs. Ritter!! 2.23.24. (Stay tuned for more bc these are only sneak peeks),” Mariah captioned the post.
As promised, on February 26, Mariah shared a heartwarming teaser for their wedding video. The teaser video showed glimpses of the couple’s wedding, including the beautiful venue, candid conversations, and the moment they shared their vows.
“THE RITTERS!! This teaser video made us cry all over again! Stay tuned for the full video to come out very very soon, you’re not gonna want to miss this magical day,” the new bride captioned the emotional teaser.
Similarly, on February 26, Bill and Mariah sat down for an exclusive interview with People Magazine, discussing more about their wedding. “Our wedding was a fairy tale and a dream come true. I’ve been picturing this since I was little,” Mariah told the outlet.
The married couple mentioned that they chose The Club — a private country club featuring three golf courses — as their wedding venue because they wanted something that represented them.

Bill joined in and stated, “Very bright, palm trees, water and everything that Florida offers. Even though it was a destination wedding, we are very thankful that most of our family and friends could be a part of it with us.”
“We just wanted to be able to share our love with everyone we love,” Mariah added. She then gushed about her wedding dress and her overall bridal look. “I felt like a princess. I just knew instantly when I put it on that it was the dress.”
Speaking of wedding dress, the bride looked astonishing in a Martina Liana dress that featured a full ball gown skirt in glittery layered tulle, a beaded lace bodice, and a keyhole back. Bill matched his wife in a full-on white outfit, except for the pink bow tie.
Coming over to Mariah and Bill’s wedding, it was officiated by Taylor Stone, their wedding planner. During the ceremony, the love birds exchanged handwritten vows, and Mariah walked down the aisle to ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ by Haley Reinhart.

Moving on, the reception started with a cocktail hour, with guests enjoying the sounds of a live saxophone player. Then, it was time for dinner — dinner began with a salad of baby greens, jewel tomatoes, sun-dried cherries, and cinnamon-toasted walnuts.
There also was an imported French brie topped with a raspberry vinaigrette. Moreover, the entrées comprised seared filet mignon with a red wine reduction and wild Alaskan black cod with a Chardonnay sauce.
As for the wedding cake, the TikTok stars had selected a three-tier vanilla and chocolate wedding cake topped with cream cheese icing and fresh strawberries. Likewise, a gelato bar and a cotton candy bar were included alongside other dessert offerings.

Afterward, the dancing commenced, and the newly married couple joined the stage. Mariah and Bill had their first dance as husband and wife to ‘From the Ground Up’ by Dan + Shay.
Mariah and Bill first met in the mid-2010s at a grocery store in Florida. At the time, Bill was reportedly working as a bagger at the same store where Mariah was working as a cashier. Sparks flew, and they eventually began dating.
Years after being in a relationship, Bill finally took the step to take their relationship to a new level. On January 9, 2023, he went down on one knee and proposed to his then-girlfriend while on the beach in Hawaii. She said yes, and they got engaged.
Fast forward to February 2024, the two are married. And now that they’re husband and wife, they are looking to a new chapter filled with adventures. “I’m excited to have a partner for life and someone to share all my exciting accomplishments with,” Mariah told People.
She continued, “To also start a family. I can’t wait to build such an amazing life together,” and then added that she loves that her husband has the biggest heart and loves hard. Bill also mentioned that he is thankful for his wife and that they are best friends.

James Gunn’s ‘Superman’ Sparks Right-Wing Backlash Ahead of Release

James Gunn’s much-anticipated Superman reboot is set to hit theaters on July 11, but the buzz leading up to the release has taken a political turn. In a recent interview, Gunn described Superman as “an immigrant’s immigrant,” reinforcing the character’s longstanding metaphor for hope, kindness, and the American dream. But this framing hasn’t sat well with everyone.
Right-wing commentators and political figures have criticized the film for what they perceive as a “woke” reinterpretation of the superhero. Among them, Fox News contributors and conservative commentators have taken aim at the film, calling it overly ideological. Former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway even predicted it would “bomb worse than Snow White did,” referencing the poorly received Disney remake.
Despite the backlash, Gunn remains firm in his creative direction. “This film is for everyone,” he said, “and it’s about kindness—not politics.” His brother, actor Sean Gunn, also defended the vision, explaining that the film’s message aligns with Superman’s origins as an alien finding belonging on Earth—a narrative deeply rooted in immigration and acceptance.
Early screenings have reportedly received positive feedback, especially for David Corenswet’s performance as Clark Kent and Rachel Brosnahan’s Lois Lane. Whether the film will rise above the political noise remains to be seen, but it’s clear that Gunn’s Superman is already a cultural flashpoint before its official release.

Michael Madsen’s Cause of Death Confirmed – Heart Failure at 67

Veteran actor Michael Madsen, renowned for his gritty performances in films like Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill Vol. 2, has passed away at the age of 67. His manager, Ron Smith, confirmed that the actor died of heart failure on July 3, 2025, at his home in Malibu, California. Longstanding health issues, including heart disease and a history of alcoholism, were cited as contributing factors. Authorities confirmed that no foul play was involved, and an autopsy was not performed.
Madsen, whose filmography spans over three decades, was known for playing tough, unpredictable characters with a unique emotional depth. His portrayal of Mr. Blonde in Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs became an instant cult favorite and cemented his place in Hollywood’s hall of fame for antiheroes.
In the wake of his death, colleagues and fans alike have poured out tributes. Rob Zombie, who directed Madsen in CSI: Miami, praised his dedication and raw talent, noting that while Madsen had a reputation for being intense, he always delivered on screen. His sister, actress Virginia Madsen, described him as “a poetic soul in a fighter’s body.”
Beyond acting, Madsen was also a published poet and had been working on a reflective book titled Tears for My Father: Outlaw Thoughts and Poems. His passing marks the end of an era for a generation of cinema that thrived on raw, unfiltered performances.

Lena Dunham Opens Up About ‘Merciless’ Body‑Shaming in Hollywood

Lena Dunham, the creator and star of Girls, has spoken out about the harsh scrutiny she’s faced throughout her career, calling the body-shaming in Hollywood “merciless.” In a candid interview with Variety, Dunham reflected on how the criticism persisted no matter what size she was — whether thinner due to illness or simply aging naturally.
“Whether I was a size 4 or a size 16, there were always opinions about my body,” she shared. “Hollywood remains merciless toward body image.”
Dunham revealed that part of her decision to step away from acting was influenced by the toll this scrutiny took on her mental health. While the body positivity movement once gained momentum, she believes it has lost visibility in recent years.
Currently, Dunham is focused on her new series Too Much, where she serves as showrunner and mentor to rising star Megan Stalter. She says protecting her cast from the kind of criticism she endured is a top priority.
“I can handle people coming for me, but I won’t stay quiet when they come for someone just trying to do their job,” she added.
Her words come at a time when Hollywood is again being called to reflect on its standards, its messaging, and how it treats women of all sizes — especially those behind the scenes and in positions of creative power.
