The Rock made a rare appearance on Monday Night Raw, where he delivered the beating of his life to Cody Rhodes. During the match against Jey Uso and Shinsuke Nakamura, the members of the Bloodline, Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, interrupted the match.

Rhodes and Seth Rollins said that the attack took Rhodes and the bloodline to the backstage brawl, where he was surprised by the Brahma Bull.

In the last part of the brawl, blood can be seen on Rhodes’ face, which makes fans excited about the possible return of the attitude era.

The Rock assaults Cody Rhodes

In the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, The Rock surprises Rhodes and assaults him senselessly. On a rainy night in Chicago that also featured the return of CM Punk, The Rock stole the headline as he attacked Rhodes from behind, assaulted him, and left blood on his face.

According to Rhodes, he returned to address the insult hurled at him. The self-titled Final Boss hurled abuse at him while constantly punching him in the face. The Raw segment started with Rhodes responding to the criticism of the WWE Undisputed champion, Roman Reigns.

Rhodes explained that he acts like a champion without the real one, Reigns. He responded to Reigns calling him a politician for constantly trying to please the fans, stating that everything he does, including his mannerisms, is because of this reason.

As Rhodes pointed towards the WrestleMania sign, The Rock entered the ring and whispered something to Rhodes, giving The American Nightmare the shivers instead of addressing Rhodes or the audience with the microphone.

Later in the night, during the Jey Uso and Nakamura match, Rhodes and Rollins save him as the bloodline tries to attack him. However, they couldn’t save Rhodes from the beating he received from The A-Lister.

The Rock attacked Rhodes from behind, beating him for several minutes and leaving him bloodied. Throughout the assault, The Rock insulted Rhodes, speaking directly to the camera as if taunting Rhodes’ mother.

The incident was uncomfortable and should erase any ideas of Rock and Rhodes working together secretly. It also makes us question Jey Uso’s loyalty. Even though The Rock and Rhodes fought backstage, the audience in the arena saw it on TV screens and reacted.

If the fans saw it, Jey Uso probably did too who was not present aiding his friend who has saved him in multiple occasions but was not present at that time.

Is the Rock and Cody Rhodes feud hampering Roman Reigns?

There’s been a lot of buzz about whether The Rock’s return to WWE is hurting Roman Reigns. Some fans worry that the focus on a potential Rock vs. Reigns match at WrestleMania takes away from Reigns’ current storyline with Rhodes. They fear that if The Rock wins, it will make Reigns’ championship reign seem less impressive.

On the other hand, others argue that The Rock’s star power only adds to the hype of the WrestleMania main event. Roman Reigns is still a strong champion, and this whole situation could be setting up even more exciting feuds down the road.

Only time will tell how this plays out, but one thing’s for sure – WrestleMania is going to be a big night.

Will The Rock join forces with Cody Rhodes?

It’s unlikely that The Rock and Rhodes will team up in WWE. Currently, they are on opposing sides, with The Rock supporting Roman Reigns and Cody challenging Reigns for the championship.

This suggests a rivalry between The Rock and Rhodes, not a partnership. There have been tense moments between The Rock and Rhodes, including a recent encounter where The Rock whispered something to upset Rhodes.
