Despite Divorce Claims, Amar’e Stoudemire and Wife Alexis Welch Are Still Together
Inside Amar’e Stoudemire and wife, Alix Welch divorce.

Amar’e Stoudemire is married to his wife, Alexis Welch. Stoudemire had filed for divorce from his wife, who got settled later. What was the cause? Let’s find out.
Stoudemire is a retired American professional basketball player. He played for several teams, including the Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, and Miami Heat.
He was a six-time NBA All-Star and a member of the US Men’s Basketball team that won the gold medal at the 2010 FIBA World Championship.

Despite many ups and downs, both Stoudemire and Welch seems to love each other’s presence in their life.
Speaking to Essence in October 2020, Welch expressed how she looks up to his husband, “I just feel like he’s my rock, I lean on him.”
Similarly, when Stoudemire was asked why he loves his wife, he answered, “Alexis is very charismatic. She’s a passionate mother, and she’s very supportive and encouraging, but I probably love Alexis’ heart the most. She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body.”
Married after ten years of dating
Stoudemire and Welch were 19 when they met; it was the early 2000s. After years of dating each other (almost a decade), the basketball player proposed to his long-term girlfriend on June 2012.
It was a beautiful proposal done in a romantic set up front of Effiel tower, and he proposed to her with an 8.5-carat radiant-cut ring worth more than $1 million.
“I have been planning my proposal for a while and overlooking the entire Paris skyline seemed like a perfect place,” Stoudemire told People. “I am so happy she said ‘yes,’ and now we can continue to build our life together as husband and wife.”
Soon Stoudemire married her fiancee on December 12, 2012. He tweeted a photo of the wedding ring focusing on the date they got married, mentioning it held a special & spiritual meaning for them now.

Having a low-key wedding, the bride and groom celebrated the grand reception in June 2013 at Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.
Many Stoudemire teammates celebrated the wedding reception, including Carmelo Anthony, his famous wife, La La, and Knickerbockers star Tyson Chandler was also present there.
Amar’e Stoudemire was alleged of domestic violence
Welch and Stoudemire are parents to four children, including daughters 17 and 14 years of age. The couple was blessed with three of their children Ar’e. Amar’e Jr. and Assata before their marriage (2012). His youngest son Alijah was born in 2013.

The six-time NBA All-Star member had recently made a headline for being arrested for allegedly punching his teenage daughter in the jaw, which led to drawing blood. He was charged with misdemeanor battery, a domestic violence charge.
As per the police report obtained by the Miami Herald, Welch went to Stoudemire’s home after their daughter “made a plea for help.”
The report said Stoudemire told Welch that their daughter was being “disrespectful” and “giving attitude” to her grandmother.
The basketball player posted a written post to clarify his allegation on Twitter and Instagram. He wrote the allegation was based on the report that didn’t square with the facts. He also stated being Jewish, he celebrates Hanukkah and hears the story of fighting wickedness.
“I believe that ‘whatever is hateful to you, do not do to others.’ As the investigation unfolds, the facts will show the allegations to be groundless as my daughter’s medical condition is not the result of being assaulted by a father who is nearly 7 feet tall and weighs 250 pounds,” he wrote.
He stated he could never see himself assaulting any person, especially his children, and respected, protected, and loved his family, particularly his children. He also asked for his space and privacy regarding the matter with his fans.
An unsuccessful divorce petition
After six years of marriage, Stoudemire filed for divorce from his wife of nearly six years in October 2018. He was accused of having a love child with a Florida woman named Quynn Lovett.
At the time of filing, the ex-NBA player noted that Welch and he had signed a prenuptial agreement before their marriage, which covers all property or spousal support issues. He said the only thing it does not address is child support and a parenting plan.
However, he didn’t serve her with the legal papers and asked for an extension to do so in February. He didn’t follow it either, which caused the judge to dismiss the entire case. Despite the divorce petition, the two never officially divorced and remain married to date.
Moreover, Stoudemire and Welch remarried in December 2020 as Stoudemire wanted his wife to have the wedding of her dreams.

What Makes Novak Djokovic So Superior On Hard Courts?
Djokovic’s superiority on the courts of the Australian Open gives us a revealing insight into his unmatched technical ability.

Another year has begun, and Novak Djokovic is seemingly on the brink of yet another Australian Open title. With this in mind, perhaps the new saying should be nothing is certain but death, taxes, and the Serb pitching up in Australia every year to win himself a Grand Slam.
Although admittedly, Djokovic doesn’t seem to struggle in the year’s other big tournaments, and if you bet on tennis, you will see this is the case with the 35-year-old the overwhelming favorite at just 6/5 to win Wimbledon in London during 2023.
In fact, the only Grand Slam that Djokovic isn’t a favorite to win in 2023 is the French Open, with Carlos Alcaraz the man tipped to go all the way in Paris.
Apart from that, the experts are predicting a clean sweep for the Serb over 2023, which begins with a triumph in Melbourne, a competition where Djokovic’s record defies belief.
The stats tell a story of unprecedented domination
Indeed, the 35-year-old, as of late January 2023 during the semi-final round, hasn’t lost a match at the Australian Open since 2018, which means he has won 26 games in a row Down Under.
This record-breaking run of consecutive wins has, unsurprisingly, assisted him in winning the last three slams in Australia, which took his overall career record to nine Australian Open titles.
The closest to Djokovic on that list are Roger Federer and Roy Emerson, with six titles each, but crucially, both players have now retired. It would be careless to say that this record will stand for eternity given that they are there to be broken but right now, during the Open Era, it’s incredibly difficult to see anyone enjoying the same amount of success that Djokovic has had when in Australia.
What makes Djokovic so superior on these hard courts?
Djokovic’s superiority on the courts of the Australian Open gives us a revealing insight into his unmatched technical ability.
At least, the courts in Melbourne are hard, which gives the ball a predictable bounce, unlike the French Open and Wimbledon where the clay and grass can alter the ball’s trajectory significantly upon hitting the surface.
Essentially, given that the bounce in Melbourne is more consistent, players will only be able to triumph if they are technically sound. It is, if you will, a battle between players who have a reliable game that can be repeated under intense pressure.
As the stats show, there hasn’t been a competitor in the men’s game who has coped with the conditions and demands of winning the Australian Open better than Djokovic has.
Furthermore, the Serb doesn’t look to be losing his touch on these courts either despite reaching an age where most players retire. Tellingly, Djokovic remarked after winning a match in Melbourne this year that 35 was the new 25.
It’s an ominous statement that suggests Djokovic will continue to rack up Australian Open titles whilst building an unassailable lead that will keep him at the top of the record books for an indefinite amount of time.

Stephen Bermingham, an accomplished coach, met Caoimhín’s mother, Jacqueline. Bermingham, who had previously taught Caoimhín’s older brother, Fiacre, urged their mother to alter his position and become a goalkeeper.
Caoimhín became a subject of interest to Ringmahon after participating in the FAI’s Emerging Talent Programme for several weeks. Bermingham noted that because Caoimhín was a striker himself, he could predict what a striker would do.
