Popular YouTuber Sierra Furtado and Sam Winkler got engaged on August 21, 2022. Furtado took to her Instagram to announce her engagement with Winkler.
She posted photos, including the picture of her fiancee proposing to her and a photo showing her engagement ring with the caption, “7.21.2022.”
Before Winkler, the YouTuber was in a relationship with Alex Terranova and was also engaged in 2017. They split after dating for three years in June 2019.

Furtado, with over 908K YouTube subscribers, explained her breakup through the same platform in a video she posted on July 9, 2019.
In that video, she expressed that she had to let go of things to experience true happiness and growth in her life.
“I never thought I’d be sitting here saying to the world that me and Alex aren’t together,” she said.
“This is a thing that we know needs to happen, that we need to release into the world so that we can fully focus on ourselves because that is the most important thing right now.”
She particularly didn’t specify the reason behind the breakup. The social media star said, “It just wasn’t working for some reason. And I couldn’t understand why when we were together. I was so frustrated.”
She continued by saying that when you aren’t whole as people, you cannot unite as two halves to make each other whole. You have to be two whole people who come together, which is how it will work.
“If you aren’t at that level of maturity, of like, knowing who you are in your soul, like emotional maturity, then you can never be in a relationship that’s going to be something that’s going to last forever as you are relying on someone else to fulfill you.”
“We were both at our rock bottom in this, and we were at the rock bottom of our relationship. I was at rock bottom; I was just confused,” she continued.
She expressed she was not working or growing and didn’t even know she needed to grow. Also, she said that she would never accept happiness for herself or someone’s love until she truly loved herself and was truly happy with herself.
She expressed that she was feeling happy already with the decision to move on and focus on herself. “I already feel happy. I already am so happy for this blessing. Even though a breakup doesn’t sound like a blessing, this was a blessing,” the YouTuber added.

She claimed the breakup ultimately happened for a reason to show her true happiness.
She was excited to be able to give love to every people around her. She was also so happy as she was so in love with herself and could care less what anyone thought of her.
The 28-year-old further talked about self-discovery and self-love in the same video.
Also, she mentioned that when you love yourself, you can give unconditional love to people around you, and she ended her words by stating that these were the things she learned and this was the place she was in her life.

YouTuber Terranova also confirmed the separation from his side in a video on his channel. He expressed that he knew what was best for him and Furtado, so he left and went back to Colorado to be with my family and friends.
The 28-year-old revealed that something was holding them from functioning as a couple.
“Just like in any relationship, there’s good times and bad times. There was just something that wasn’t working between me and Sierra,” he said, “There was something holding us back from being a [functioning] couple where we could read each others minds, where we understand each other, where we have a lot of patience with each other.”
He further added that he thought rough times defined the couple, and he and Sarra struggled to make out through those times. He felt their lives and relationship with social media were the reason for those problems.

Now that Furtado has already moved on and engaged, Sam Winkler, she, during a Q&A session for one of her YouTube videos, revealed her views regarding a prenuptial agreement, and she had paid thousands to a lawyer to get the deal.
Although she didn’t explicitly name Terranova in her vlog, her words did hold negative connotations towards her ex-fiancé regarding this.
“I feel like people don’t realize the prenup is for both sides, so that, if in 10 years, you do something in your career that makes you millions and millions of dollars, then you’re protected as well, she said, “I just feel like it can be kind of a red flag if someone doesn’t want to sign one. It is a little shady if someone doesn’t want to sign it because ‘What are your intentions?'”
She further said, “I’ve had someone not want to sign my prenup that I spent thousands of dollars for, and it’s a little shady, so definitely a definitely red flag for some people.” And this line must be dedicated to Terranova, to whom she was engaged before.
It didn’t stop there; soon, on June 5, 2022, Terranova slammed his ex-girlfriend with his Instagram stories and Twitter post with a long note elaborating on the things that led to the end of their relationship.
In his post, he mentioned he didn’t sign the prenup because he would sell his life to his then-fiancee.
He wrote, “Didn’t sign the prenup because [I] would be selling my life away to a b*tch. Forgot to mention, it defiled the meaning of marriage and was planned before we got engaged (more like four months into our relationship)…Money had nothing to do with it other than her money being hers (I never cared for).”

He also revealed he was never given credit for the filming and behind-the-scenes editing of the videos on their joint vlog channel. He expressed pain because he “never owned something that was equally hers and equally mine.”
He disclosed that Furtado was never by her side, even when he had asthma. Further, he was manipulated to stay silent to protect her image. He explained how he suffered from depression and anxiety.

Richard Gadd’s Controversial Romance with Actress Auditioning for ‘Baby Reindeer’
All about his former dating life.
Baby Reindeer was a great hit for Richard Gadd, the creator and star of the Netflix series.
The British black comedy drama-thriller was adapted from Gadd’s autobiographical one-man show and hit the streaming service on April 11, 2024. The 7-episode drama, produced by Clerkenwell Films, was an instant hit and grabbed the attention of millions worldwide.
As Baby Reindeer was based on Gadd’s real-life events, viewers were instantly accustomed to digging deeper into the happenings of the series, mainly relationships. As if that wasn’t enough, his professional conduct was also questioned.
Days after Baby Reindeer hit Netflix, on April 16, 2024, a transgender actress named Reece Lyons came forward on X, claiming she and Gadd dated for a brief period and that she also auditioned for the role of Gadd’s ex-girlfriend, Teresa “Teri,” in the Netflix series.
Lyons never specifically mentioned Gadd or Baby Reindeer in her X thread but an investigation by Deadline confirmed that she was indeed talking about the Netflix show and its creator.
In her X thread, Lyons mentioned that she didn’t believe she was a victim of abuse but acknowledged that Gadd hurt her even if there was no conscious intent to do so. Additionally, she was hurt by Gadd “conflating a work opportunity with a dating dynamic.”
As per Deadline, Gadd and Lyons first met each other in October 2021. Both of them were in the bar of London’s Bush Theatre after Lyons had performed the one-woman show Overflow.
“I had met him in the bar after one of my shows. He was with a friend; they both approached me after my performance to congratulate me, and that’s when he offered to buy me a drink,” Lyons recalled her first encounter with Gadd on her X thread.
She then stated that she initially thought of declining the offer as she didn’t know Gadd but before she could decline the offer, she recognized him. She claimed that Gadd had followed her on Instagram a month earlier.
It was at that moment she realized that this wasn’t a normal chance encounter. She decided to accept his offer for a drink, after which they began their conversation. “We split off from his friend, and he began to tell me about his upcoming Netflix show that he had written,” she wrote.
Lyons continued her X thread by writing that Gadd had offered her the role of his ex-girlfriend, a trans woman. As per Lyons, Gadd mentioned that he allegedly didn’t treat his now-former girlfriend the best.
When Gadd offered the role, Lyons claimed she was interested in auditioning for the role and told him to contact her agent. Right after that, Gadd allegedly expressed his romantic feelings for Lyons.
Weeks after their first meet, Gadd contacted Lyons and asked her out on a date. She agreed even though she was mindful of the overlap between the romantic invitation and the upcoming audition. During their date, their conversations didn’t turn out well.

After a week, Lyons texted him and ended things prematurely. She told him that she didn’t think the conflation of the upcoming audition for Baby Reindeer and dating each other at the same time was very wise, and Gadd replied that he understood what she meant.
However, things didn’t end then and there between the two, as Lyons claimed that Gadd spontaneously called her two weeks later and expressed his desire to try dating again. When he said that, she felt conflicted as she had previously set clear boundaries and he appeared to understand them.
“‘What if I say, no?’ I asked myself. ‘Does that mean he would feel slighted, and I wouldn’t get the chance to audition?’ I decided to say yes and quickly found myself pulled back into his emotional chaos again,” Lyons wrote on her X thread.
As per Deadline, Gadd and Lyons had gone on four dates between October and November 2021, before the former decided to end things permanently in December of the same year. As per sources close to Gadd, some conversations about a Baby Reindeer audition might have taken place while the two were dating.
In March 2022, three months after Gadd and Lyons broke up, the latter auditioned for the role of Teresa “Teri” and submitted her self-tape to Nina Gold Casting. However, she wasn’t offered the role and it ultimately went to Mexican actress Nava Mau.
Deadline reported in May 2024 that Gadd had no control over the casting process on Baby Reindeer but provided some feedback on audition tapes to Clerkenwell Films. Likewise, Gadd and Lyons seemingly had a final conversation after the actress for the role of Teresa “Teri” was finalized.
As per Lyons’ X thread, Gadd reportedly consoled her over the phone and mentioned that her audition was exceptional. “But it’s out of my hands. Netflix is looking for somebody who’s already a star,” Gadd reportedly told Lyons.
Sources close to Gadd stated that Lyons was the one who asked him for feedback on her audition on the day of rejection. She then asked him, “But what about us?” to which he replied, “It’s not going to work. You’re too confrontational for me.” “And that was it,” she concluded.
After Lyons went public with her relationship with Gadd, Baby Reindeer’s producer Clerkenwell Films launched an investigation into Lyons’ comments. This investigation revealed that Gadd had not disclosed his romantic liaison with Lyons to Clerkenwell Films.
During the investigation process, Lyons was neither interviewed on the phone nor in person, as Clerkenwell Films believed that her X thread, along with other evidence, was enough. Clerkenwell Films ultimately concluded that Gadd behaved professionally and casting decisions were not compromised.
