Since the beginning, many fans and followers have noted significant changes in the singer —  from plastic surgery to her weight loss. Stefani has been accused of getting plastic surgery, with many claiming she has a new face now while comparing her past self.

At 54, she maintains a young face that has admirers and onlookers guessing about the secrets of her beauty, frequently raising the topic of whether Stefani’s plastic surgery is the answer to her gorgeous appearance.

While Stefani has never officially acknowledged using cosmetic procedures and going under the knife, her appearance has attracted rumors of her having a new face. This especially arises when the singer walks in red carpets.

For instance, when Stefani attended the Academy of Country Music Awards in April 2019, according to USA Today, “some social media users were quick to say that [she ‘didn’t] look like herself,’ speculating on whether the singer [got] plastic surgery on her lips and face.”

Then in a January 2020 appearance, Daily Mail wrote how Stefani’s look caused “backlash from fans who [were] insisting she looked completely ‘unrecognizable’ at the Grammy Awards, with some speculating that she had gotten ‘plastic surgery’ or ‘fillers.’”

Netizens have often described her ‘new face’ as having a frozen expression. This eventually fueled suspicion that she had undergone cosmetic surgery. 

Many have speculated that she has used excessive fillers, face-tightening procedures, and facelifts, despite her repeated denials. Moreover, there is a possibility that Stefani has used Botox injections in areas like her forehead and around her eyes to avoid wrinkles.

Similarly, fans and followers have speculated about the potential of Stefani’s getting lip fillers. Many have noted that her lips are larger in contrast to previous photos, especially when she smiles. 

Her lips appear notably plumper in her recent Instagram photos and videos, prompting netizens to speculate that she may have had lip injections to augment her lips.

Many professionals have talked about Stefani’s plastic surgery with Life & Style back in 2019. Dr. Michelle Yagoda claimed that the singer had cheek filler and rhinoplasty.

She said, “It looks like Gwen has had cheek filler, a rhinoplasty to smooth out the bump that can be seen on the side view of her nose, Botox to drop her upper lip to reduce her gummy smile, lip injections (see the bumpiness of her top lip) and a chin implant.”

“Her chin looks longer and more square. Toning down her brassy blonde hair to a more ash color may be an attempt to divert attention away from facial changes,” she added. 

Dr. David Shafer, on the other hand, believed that Stefani used fillers on her face, especially her chin. He said, “Chin filler is also very common, but it’s important to have a balance between enhancement and too much projection or fullness in a female chin. Finally, much of her appearance is her makeup and lighting and certainly filters as well.”

He hoped that she would not overdo it since she was naturally a pretty woman. “Gwen is a beautiful person — so hopefully, her injector is ethical and will not overdo it, ” he noted.

Despite all the speculation of Stefani having a new face due to various plastic surgeries, the singer has never confirmed or addressed the rumors.

One can not deny, that Stefani has maintained an attractive body and shape throughout the years. She has undergone significant weight loss with the help of a balanced diet and workout regime.

At the time of writing, it is reported that Stefani’s height is 5 feet 6 inches or 168 cm (1.68 m). Similarly, her weight is allegedly around 55 kg or 121 pounds. 

She is conscious of every nutrient she consumes on a daily basis and must stay within her maintenance calorie intake to preserve her figure. Stefani eats a vegan or vegetarian diet consisting of organic fruits and vegetables, tea, coffee, and vanilla soy milk, which has helped her reveal killer abs.

At the same time, she frequently indulges in cheat days where she has foods like Pizza, Fries, Pasta, and Burgers. She has also maintained her toned and voluptuous physique by leading an active lifestyle.

Stefani told Shape in 2019 that she works out five days a week and that she doesn’t have a secret to staying healthy. However, she claims that going to the gym aids her mental health.

“I have no magic thing that I do to stay fit. I eat really clean, do my shows, and work out,” she said. “I always feel better when I’m in a routine even though I sometimes hate it. I play tennis badly, with Blake [Shelton]. Then we go to the gym. I like to do squats and lunges and light weights. I don’t go crazy like I used to. I do just enough to make my body feel good.”

As said before, Stefani has notably been a vegetarian for years —  something she began at the age of 12. To date, she still alternates between veganism and vegetarianism.
