MacKenzie Porter and her husband Jake Etheridge introduce the newest and the cutest member of the family to the world.

The couple announced the arrival of their first baby on March 21 exclusively through the People magazine and also through their Instagram accounts.

The couple posted a series of pictures introducing their beautiful daughter Bowen (Bowie) James Porter Etheridge, causing a wave of congratulations. As per People, the baby measured 17.5 inches and weighed 7 lbs. and she was born healthy.

On their Instagram accounts, they wrote, “Last Thursday at 7:21 am our little “Bowen James Porter Etheridge” (Bowie ?) made her grand entrance into the world. She is healthy! She loves milk! She loves cuddles! She loves to sleep all day and party all night! She has a full head of black hair (the heartburn was very worth it) and we will never love anything more than our little Bo girl ???”

In an interview with the magazine, the couple expressed that their lives have now completely changed. They say, “She is now forever the reason we breathe.”

The pair also leave a very heartwarming message for their daughter, saying they love her so so much and life just got so much sweeter, snugglier, and sleepier all in a matter of minutes.

Furthermore, the couple share everything that’s changed about the arrival of Bowie. After leaving the hospital on March 16, the pair drove as slowly as possible to avoid bumps in the road.

They have also been very cautious of new parents, searching Google for every strange thing the baby does. And, of course, the love for the baby never stops as they give endless hugs to the newborn.

Porter also shares the effect childbirth had on her body. She revealed that she’s been healing and her heart is whole now that the baby is in her arms.

On November 2, 2023, the couple took to Instagram to share the world about their pregnancy. Porter was seen with a big baby bump making fans shocked as to how she managed to hide it so well over the months.

She wrote, “Our sweet baby. We couldn’t be more excited to meet you, hold you, kiss your little squishy cheeks, and let Willa lick your little toes. To say we are a tad nervous would be an understatement but what we know without an ounce of doubt is that we will love you more than anything in this entire world. We will never go back to who we were before. We are now THREE (well 4 including the fur bean) forever. Love Mom and Dad.”

Many fans left congratulatory comments along with Porter’s close friends also commenting on their happy news. Singer-songwriter Jessie James Decker also commented on the post, saying, “So excited for y’all.”

Country music singer Porter and actor/singer-songwriter Etheridge started their romantic journey back in 2014. They started publicly dating and Etheridge also appeared in the music video for Porter’s song About You.

The pair were happily in love and got engaged in early 2019. The pair secretly married on September 14, 2019, and announced the news later to media outlets.

Porter always wanted an intimate wedding, so only a few of their families were in attendance. The wedding took place in Nashville on the rooftop of their home with only 12 people in attendance.

In an interview, Porter reveals that they only had their siblings, parents, and grandmas invited and all spent the weekend together. She reveals that the wedding was perfect due to it being super intimate.

There was a personalized touch to everything as Porter’s sister even made the wedding cake herself. Apart from the beautiful wedding they had, the singer reveals another favorite moment she remembers being both families came together for the first time and got to know each other.

The next day after the wedding, the family made breakfast together. Porter shared that Etheridge’s family made grits and liver pudding as they were southern while her family made Canadian-style breakfast.

I know it’s super cliche but man, time goes by way too quickly. I’m lucky enough to get to spend it w/ my best friend,” alongside very beautiful pictures of their wedding.
