It looks like Lexi Hensler forgot to tell her boyfriend, Justice Shepard, about her fish allergy. Or Shepard might have forgotten entirely that his girlfriend is allergic to fish.

On Thursday, December 21, 2023, Hensler took to her TikTok handle to share a clip of her face after her allergic reaction, which she got by consuming fish, took place. The in-video caption read, “POV: your boyfriend forgets you’re allergic to fish.”

She had added a sad emoji, shedding a tear from one eye at the end of her in-video caption. Similarly, the TikTok video, which had ‘Just A Girl’ from No Doubt as its background music, was captioned, “But did he forget or did I forget to tell him.”

In the video Hensler shared, her face had completely swollen up, and the rapid onset of an allergic reaction distorted her features. She initially showed her face after the allergic reaction took place, and it seemed like she was in the ER of a hospital.

As she moved the camera from her perspective, she showed her boyfriend filling out a form, perhaps one of those forms that are given to fill out in an emergency case. Shepard, a left-handed man, was frantically filling out the form.

After she uploaded the video on her TikTok handle, it immediately blew up and garnered millions of views and comments. As of this writing, the TikTok video of her fish allergy has gained over 41.5 million views, 3.8 million likes, 21,500 comments, and 142,300 saves.

Some of the comments that the TikTok star received under her viral allergy video included a comment from a worried fan that read, “Omg I’m allergic to fish too are you okey??”

Likewise, many TikTok users pointed out Hensler’s boyfriend’s distress while filling out the ER form and wrote comments like “He’s speeding through that paperwork,” “He is freaking out,” “he looks nervous,” and “He looks so stressed.”

As people continued joining the comment section, some blamed Hensler and questioned if she also forgot she was allergic to fish or seafood in general. On the other hand, some defended her by saying she might not have noticed it.

For instance, when one wrote, “If she knew she was allergic, then why did she eat it?” another fan chimed in and commented, “Everyone acting like he served a whole [explicit] salmon and she bit into it. It surely wasn’t visible from the outside.”

While all that conversation between the fans continued and is still happening, Hensler has decided to stay mum on the topic. As of this writing, she’s yet to make an official announcement on her health condition and if she has recovered from her fish allergy.
