The D’Amelio sisters have given an update about their relationships — one is happy news: Dixie D’Amelio is dating her boyfriend, and another is sad news: Charli D’Amelio has broken up with her boyfriend.

Dixie took to her Instagram Stories to hard launch her boyfriend, Trevor Zegras, for the first time on the social media platform. She posted her BeReal to her IG Stories, where she showed off her partner. Soon after her hard launch, the couple went viral on Twitter.

Zegras is an American professional ice hockey center for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League. So, a lot of Hockey fans reacted to the hard launch of their relationship. Many claimed that it was good for the sport since it would get more publicity.

A fan wrote, “This could be good for hockey as a whole….look what Taylor Swift (I know it’s not on the same level) has done for the NFL.” However, many noted that Zegras would get distracted by the relationship to focus on the sport.

One user wrote, “He’s more obsessed with social media than actually hockey because he’s not very good at hockey lol.”

However, the couple seems to be getting a lot of hate as well. A user wrote, “I promise you that nobody is actually happy for an untalented and racist woman with pretty privilege and an overrated hockey player that only Barstool Sports followers and puck bunnies salivate over.”

Dixie’s Instagram Story was screenshotted and uploaded by various Instagram tea pages, including THETEATALK. Netizens chimed in on the comment section, giving their opinion on Dixie and her boyfriend.

While there were a couple of hate comments for the duo, many were happy for the couple as well. One netizen wrote, “She living her best life and in a healthy relationship love that for her,” and another commented, “ok I love this for them, so happy for Dixie.”

Even though Dixie hard launched her relationship in February 2024, the rumors of Zegras being her boyfriend started in July 2023. It started when the celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi published text messages from a person who claimed to have spotted the singer and hockey player on a date.

Following DeuxMoi’s post, internet fans began aggressively investigating the influencer’s social media presence, including their list of followers and interactions. Official confirmation arrived when Twitter user @zegraser sent a tweet.

In the tweet, it was reported that one of Dixie’s friends had shared an Instagram story from a restaurant, recording highlights from the singer’s birthday celebration.

The photograph in the post showed the singer winking playfully at the camera while sitting at a large table. Notably, Zegras’ trademark slicked-back hair could be seen in the photo’s backdrop. 

This visual proof quickly persuaded many hockey fans on the platform that the two were indeed in a relationship.

Brianna LaPaglia revealed that Dixie was dating a hockey player in September 2023. Then, in early December 2023, DeuxMoi announced that Dixie and Zegras had chosen to separate ways.

Aside from the breakup announcement, the shocking cause for their split sent shockwaves across their fan base. According to insiders, the singer’s ex-boyfriend allegedly cheated throughout their relationship.

However, looking at the couple now, it looks like the cheating and breakup rumors were false. While Dixie seems happy about her hard launch and her relationship with her boyfriend, the same cannot be said for her younger sister, Charli.

Charli has broken up with her boyfriend, Landon Barker. On Wednesday, February 7, 2024, Barker took to his Instagram story to announce that he and Charli had broken up to focus on themselves.

He wrote, “Hey everyone, I would like to let you guys know that Charli and I are no longer together. We broke up to focus on ourselves. We are still friends and have so much love for each other.”

“I am incredibly grateful for the time we shared and hope you can respect our decisions. Thank you, love you all so much!” he added. The breakup came after almost two years of dating. At the time of writing, Charli has not addressed the split.
