Was Sophie Trudeau Cheating On Husband Justin Trudeau with ‘Hijack’ Actor Idris Elba?

Recently, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau broke the internet after he announced that he was parting ways with his wife, Sophie Trudeau.

Many have claimed that Justin and Sophie’s love had run its course a few years back. Moreover, it was reported that the two had parted ways years ago and finally took the step to get a divorce.

As a result, the divorce was not a surprise to many netizens. The exact reason for their divorce has not been revealed.

However, a new rumor states that Sophie was cheating on her husband with actor Idris Elba.

It is unknown where the rumor came from, but it has been floating around on the internet for quite someday. It even reached DeuxMoi, the Instagram gossip page.

Someone asked them if Sophie was cheating on her former husband with Elba. DeuxMoi seemed shocked by the news they received and did not elaborate on it further.

Instead, they said they were obsessed with the actor and asked if their followers had watched his movie, Hijack. The cheating rumor is also making rounds on Twitter.

Many are in shock about how this rumor came to be true. Moreover, many speculated that if Sophie was cheating on her husband, then it must be around 2019 to 2020.

This was because both of them attended the same event in 2020 and caught COVID-19 around the same time. As a result, people speculated that the two were together.

There has been no official confirmation or evidence of the rumor. 

If the rumors are true, then it means that Elba cheated on his wife as well. To date, the actor has been married three times.

His first marriage was to Hanne “Kim” Nørgaard, with whom he was together from 1999 to 2003. Then, he was married to his second wife, Sonya Nicole Hamlin, for four months in 2006.

Since early 2017, he has been in a relationship with Sabrina Dhowre. They got engaged on February 10, 2018, and got married on April 26, 2019.

There have also been some rumors that Justin was cheating on his wife at the same time. However, there is no evidence or confirmation of those rumors.

Justin met Sophie while they were both children growing up in Montreal. Sophie was a classmate and lifelong friend of Justin’s younger brother, Michel. 

They reconnected as adults in June 2003 when Sophie, a Quebec television star at the time, was appointed as Justin’s co-host for a charity gala. Soon, they began dating some months later. 

The couple were married on May 28, 2005, at Montreal’s Sainte-Madeleine d’Outremont Church. They have three children —  a son named Xavier, born in 2007, a daughter named Ella-Grace, born in 2009, and a son named Hadrien, born in 2014.

The Trudeaus announced the divorce twenty years after they first met. They did so via a statement on Instagram.

They claimed that even though they were parting ways, they would always co-parent their children and be together as a family.

Justin’s office also issued a statement that said, “They have worked to ensure that all legal and ethical steps with regards to their decision to separate have been taken, and will continue to do so moving forward.”
