Who Were Tommy Lee’s Parents? An inside Look at His Family and Heritage
Tommy’s parents were a key figure in his life!
By 2023, everybody around the world must be familiar with Tommy Lee, either due to his musical career or his relationship with Canadian-American actress Pamela Anderson, which was shown in the Hulu mini-series Pam & Tommy.
But none of it would not have happened if Lee’s parents, David Lee Thomas Bass and Vassiliki “Voula” Papadimitriou, hadn’t supported their young son who dreamt of pursuing a music career.
Who were Tommy Lee’s parents?
Lee’s father, David, was a key figure in his life and held significant importance for the renowned artist. The paternal influence exerted on Lee has profoundly impacted his personal and professional journey.
Born in 1924, David was raised by his parents, John Samuel Bass and Julie E. Sanders. He spent his childhood running around the streets of Itasca, Minnesota, and completed his education there. But there is no info about his academic qualifications.
While young, David joined the US Army and served as a sergeant. As per Lee, his father fought in two of the most significant wars the US Army faced; World War II and the Korean War. Besides this, little is known about David’s time in the US Army.
Like his father, his mother also played a crucial role in Lee’s success. Vassiliki, also known as Voula, was born on August 8, 1939. She was raised in Katouna, Greece, by her father, Eleftherio Papademetrio, and her mother, whose identity isn’t disclosed.
Besides these, there isn’t much info about Lee’s mother, except that she once pursued a modeling career in Greece. As per reports, Vassiliki had taken part in the Miss Greece beauty pageant, which was held in 1957.

David and Vassiliki reportedly met each other while the former was in Greece. They fell in love and ultimately decided to share the wedding vows.

While they were in love, there was a communication gap during the first year of their marriage, mainly because neither spoke each other’s native language. And they managed to communicate via translation dictionary and drawing pictures.
Nonetheless, those barriers didn’t stop the married couple from maintaining a happy marital relationship. They learned each other’s languages, and before long, they welcomed their first child, a son named Tommy Lee, on October 3, 1962.
Lee was born while the couple still lived in Athens, Greece. And around a year after his birth, David and Vassiliki decided to move to California. Sometime after settling, on December 8, 1964, the duo welcomed their second child and Tommy’s sibling, a daughter named Athena Lee.
As years passed, David and Vassiliki’s relationship continued. But it had its ups and downs, like any other relationship. It might be possible that the two split at some point, as it’s reported that David was married twice – the second marriage was with Lois Lavonne Aultman.

Things might have sorted out between David and Vassiliki, as the latter was by the former’s bedside, taking care of him every day before his death. David and Vassiliki’s love story ended in 2001 when David passed away.
Tommy mentioned in his book that his father told him he wasn’t afraid before his death. He quoted his father and wrote, “I’ve got amazing kids. I’ve had an amazing life. I’m ready. I love your mother, and I loved my life.”
As for Tommy’s mother, Vassiliki followed her husband 11 years later, as she took her final breath on March 9, 2012. Tommy took to Twitter to announce the sad news as he tweeted, “One of the loves of my life has gone. My Dear Mother has passed ;(.”
And although they are gone, the Mötley Crüe drummer always has a place in his heart for his parents. He occasionally shares pictures of his dad and mom, along with a heartfelt caption.
Tommy Lee has a Greek heritage from his mother’s side
Tommy has a mixed ethnicity as he has inherited Greek heritage from his mother’s side and English, English, some Irish, and French roots from his father’s side. That said, he has a deeper connection with his Greece heritage.
The drummer often takes his time to speak about his Greek heritage. For instance, Tommy released a statement via his official Facebook page describing multiple reasons why he is a proud Greek, and it’s reported that this wasn’t a PR stunt.
He wrote, “GREECE. BECAUSE WE ARE A SMALL, POOR COUNTRY FULL OF PEOPLE WITH BIG HEARTS. BECAUSE WE NEVER VISIT ANYONE EMPTY-HANDED. BECAUSE THERE IS NO WAY TO TELL FOREIGNERS THE WORD “KAPSOURA” TO PROPERLY (BURNING DESIRE FOR SOMEONE).”
“BECAUSE THERE IS STILL SOMETHING VALUABLE IN GREEK FAMILIES. BECAUSE WE ALWAYS DO, EVEN IF AT THE LAST MOMENT. BECAUSE WE WERE SLAVES FOR 400 YEARS, BUT NEVER TAKE THIS AS AN EXCUSE FOR OUR CURRENT STATE,” he added.
He had written more paragraphs in all caps and ultimately ended his statement by writing, “BECAUSE WE KNOW WHAT “KEFI” (JOY IN THE FUN?) MEANS AND HOW TO LIVE IT. PROUD GREEK SOUL!”
A year after revealing his proudness of being a Greek, he even visited his and his mother’s native land and learned and shared many Hellenic cultures among his fans and well-wishers through his social media handles.

Britnee Kellogg Releases New Music Video with Empowering Women
The singer’s music video for ‘She’s Come a Long Way’ features several strong women.
Britnee Kellogg is a talented country music singer who gained fame due to her appearance in seasons 11 and 12 of American Idol. Recently, she released the music video for ‘She’s Come a Long Way,’ which not only has good music but also good lyrics and a powerful message.
She premiered the music exclusively through People’s magazine and the music video included powerful women from her home state of Oregon who have made their way through extreme challenges.
Kellogg collaborated with Autumn McEntire on this song, who ironically turned out to be the niece of the person she idolizes the most. In a recent interview with People, she mentioned, “Reba McEntire is the love of my life. She’s the first cassette tape I ever owned. She has always been a huge inspiration for me musically.”
It was like fate that she met Autumn a few years back and got to work with her. “When I first met her several years ago, I knew her last name was McEntire, but that’s kind of a common last name,” says Kellogg.
She continues the conversation by saying, “I guess I never asked her until she posted something about having a cut on her aunt’s record and I was like, ‘Excuse me, you never told me this?!’ It made me respect her even more that she doesn’t go around bragging that she’s Reba’s niece. I think that says a lot about her character.”

The music video for ‘She’s Come a Long Way’ started with a woman introducing herself as 44-year-old Alexis, who is currently a senior director of Accounting. She also revealed that she’s a mother of 5 children and a breast cancer survivor.
The video then went on to introduce other powerful women, like 30-year-old Erica, a nurse who is in high demand. Then, Nikki was introduced, a 49-year-old layout engineer who survived a life-changing injury.

Other women included were 26-year-old business advisor and artist Kayla and 46-year-old Midwife Megan, who has delivered 500+ babies and has been clean and sober for 17 years. Next came Lisa, who is a special education teacher and a teen mother, followed by 37-year-old Mikeisha, who is a personal shopper, boutique owner, healthcare leader, and a wife and a mother.
The video also included 52-year-old Tracie, who is a property manager, and Slumberkins founders Kelly and Callie. The last person to be introduced was Angela, the co-founder of I Am Foster Kid.
Kellogg created this music video to honor how they’ve come a long way and still have much to do. She wanted to leave a very powerful message so that every woman is inspired by what they are doing.

Since the song was released on YouTube, it has garnered more than 5k views in a week, with 500+ likes. Although the video has not garnered many comments on the platform, her Instagram post is filled with congratulatory posts and positive reviews.
On March 28, Kellogg posted a video reacting to the People’s cover of her new music video, captioning it with “Thank you @people and @triciadespres for highlighting this song and these amazing women”
Under this post, there were many fan comments, where one commented, “CONGRATULATIONS! 🥹 call such a beautiful tribute!! Forever so proud of you! Keep blazing that trail mama!!!! ❤.” Similarly, another fan wrote, “Wow!!! I loved the video. It’s so beautiful and supportive. You looked amazing too. She was then asked if she wanted her kids to be legacy wrestlers, to which she replied “Umm, yes and no. I don’t know I feel like I would love that just to keep the name going and have that massive family line in hopefully WWE. At the same time, I also know what goes into this profession how hard it is, and how taxing it is on your body and your mind and I don’t know if I want that for my kids or not. Like I do but I don’t. It’s so amazing on the other side of things but it also takes a lot outta you. But I guess we’ll see down the line.”

Does he find it difficult to cope with? Is it motivating for him? Does he embrace it?”
To this, the wrestler replied, “He loves it. He doesn’t make him feel a certain negative sort of way. He’s happy for me and he also knows how far I can go in this company and how far his limitations are as well.”

While discussing it, she also discussed the reality of wrestling being male-dominated and acknowledged the limited opportunities for women in the sport. “So if you show you’re different and connect with the crowd in a certain way, you’re gonna skyrocket to the top,” she says.
Ripley then talked about her husband, stating, “Whereas for him, he has been in the WWE, he’s been wrestling for over 10 years, maybe 15 years… for a long long time. At the end of the day, the platform that I’m on is higher and I feel like he doesn’t get threatened by that.”

Who is Rhea Ripley’s fiancée, Matthew Adams?
Adams goes by his ring name, Buddy Matthews, and is a professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW). He was previously in WWE as Buddy Murphy and assigned to developmental territory NXT.
He made his debut in AEW on the February 23, 2022, episode of Dynamite alongside Malakai Black and Brody King of the House of Black. Following his impactful debut, AEW president Tony Khan announced his signing with the company.
Some of his notable victories include winning a trios match at Revolution’s buy-in-show against Death Triangle on March 5, 2023, defeating The Elite. However, they experienced defeat in August 2023 against The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn.
