That Mexican OT Became a Rapper Because of His Late Mother

That Mexican OT Became A Rapper Because Of His Late Mother

That Mexican OT, who was born Virgil René Gazca, is a Mexican-American rapper from Texas.

He started rapping professionally right out of high school. However, he knew he would be a rapper since he was four years old.

This was because of his late mother, Sophia Ann Gazca, who wanted to see her son be a rapper. OT talked about his childhood, his mother, and how he came to be a rapper on The Joe Rogan Podcast.

Here is all we know about it.

That Mexican OT’s journey as a rapper

OT was born on February 2, 1999, in Bay City, Texas. He was born to loving parents, but his childhood was not a good one.

His parents were separated soon after his birth, and his father remarried. His mother, Gazca, was killed in a drunk-driving accident in 2007 when he was just eight years old.

Similarly, his father was incarcerated when he was just a child. When his mother was alive, she used to deal with drugs for his family.

So, growing up around drug addicts was normal for OT. However, her job as a drug dealer did not stop her from loving her son and boasting about it.

OT was not an easy child as well. When he was in first grade, he used to come home at 10 PM.

He did not care much about school and used to fail. It was evident that it was difficult for his mother to take care of her.

Her family and friends used to complain about it, but it never stopped Gazca from loving her son for the way he was. From a young age, OT used to rap, and his mother was very proud of it.

Gazca knew that her son would be a rapper. She would tell her family members about it, but no one took her seriously.

Her friends and family used to remind her about how OT was and that he even failed his classes. However, OT’s mother did not care about schooling.

She always supported him and told everyone that he would be a rapper someday. This encouraged OT to be a rapper.

When his father was in jail, his mother and stepmother used to be on good terms. So, sometimes, his mother would drop him halfway, and his stepmother would come to pick him up.

Then, his stepmother would take him to jail to meet up with his father. At jail, through the radio, OT used to rap and show his skills to his father.

After his mother died, OT lived with his grandmother until his father was released from jail. Then, he moved on with his father.

When the rapper was seven years old, his father used to wake him up early morning so he could rap. There used to be a lot of parties at their house.

Every Sunday morning, OT’s father would bring people around and play beats and music for OT to rap. He also made OT have a rap battle with his adult friends.

At the time, they used to live in a duplex, so it looked like there were a lot of people to listen to OT. He had an audience created by his father and enjoyed making people laugh and listen to his bars.

While OT is happy to be a rapper, he claimed that he did not pursue a career in rapping because of his wishes. He said, “It’s not what I wanted, it is what my mama wanted.”

He noted that he loves the music but does not care about the fame and money. OT is not sure about what he wants but knows that all he wants to be is okay.

He did not feel love growing up, so now, all he wants is a family and to be loved. Regardless, he is proud to be a rapper his mother always wanted him to be. He wished that his mother was alive and that she would listen to and enjoy his music.

That Mexican OT’s career

OT performed under the stage moniker That Mexican OT, which stands for “Outta Texas.” After graduating from high school, Gazca began independently recording hip-hop tracks for online publication.

As a result, he released many mixtapes in the early 2020s, such as South Texas Project (2020), Southside Steppin (2021), 1 Double 0 (2021), and Nonsense and Mexican Shit (2022). His indie releases and remixes of other artists’ songs helped him achieve further notice.

He released his next album, Lonestar Luchador, on July 28, 2023, through Good Money Global. The album included his breakout song, ‘Johnny Dang.’

The song debuted at number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking OT and Drodi’s first chart performances. In addition, the single’s music video was seen over 20 million times on YouTube, while the song itself was streamed over 36 million times via Spotify.

Lonestar Luchador debuted at number 59 on the Billboard 200. Lonestar Luchador‘s collaborators include Ralph Barbosa Jr., BigXthaPlug, Lefty Sm, Maxo Kream, and Big Yavo. OT launched a 20-city tour of the United States in October 2023, after the release of ‘Johnny Dang.’

Dixie D’Amelio Reveals the One Hair Transformation She Regrets

Dixie D’Amelio, the 22-year-old TikTok sensation, is renowned for her bold hair transformations. Known for her adventurous spirit and willingness to experiment, she loves switching up her hairstyle.

“I think that I just like doing it because I can,” she explained in a recent interview with PEOPLE on July 31, 2024. “Hair grows back, and I think it’s just a fun and easy way to change your personal style.”

Over the years, D’Amelio has showcased an array of hairstyles that have kept her fans and followers eagerly anticipating her next look. Currently, she is sporting long, honey-colored locks with hints of her natural dark roots peeking through.

This look is just the latest in a long line of dramatic hair changes. In 2023, she captivated her audience with trendy curtain bangs that framed her face perfectly, giving her a chic and modern look.

However, it was in 2022 that she made one of her most daring moves: shaving her head completely. This bold decision to go bald was documented in a YouTube video where she candidly shared her reasons.

“I just want to restart,” she said, describing the buzz cut as something she had been wanting to try since sixth grade. The dramatic change was well-received by her fans, and she herself was thrilled with the outcome. “Oh my God, Holy s—, I really like it,” she exclaimed in the video.

D’Amelio’s hair journey doesn’t stop at cuts and styles; she has also experimented extensively with color. From rich brunettes to vibrant hues, she has tried it all. Given the plethora of styles and colors she has embraced, it’s only natural to wonder if there’s a hairstyle she has any regrets about.

Surprisingly, D’Amelio isn’t one for regrets when it comes to her hair. When PEOPLE asked if there was one color or cut she would never do again, she responded, “Something I would never do again? It’s mostly just colors that I didn’t take care of properly, so my hair wasn’t looking good.”

This candid admission highlights the importance of hair care, especially when frequently changing colors. However, she added, “But no, I love everything I did. I loved shaving my head. I like having long hair.”

This positive outlook on her hair experiments reflects her overall approach to personal style and change. As mentioned earlier, D’Amelio currently appears to be enjoying life as a blonde. In April, her transformation to “French vanilla blonde” was documented by celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos on Instagram.

Although the look has grown out a bit since then, she still loves it. “It’s so amazing,” she said of the look. “It’s so blonde!” This blonde phase is just another chapter in her dynamic hair story, one that continues to evolve and inspire.

The American singer‘s hair transformations are not just about aesthetics; they also reflect her personal growth and evolving self-expression. Each style marks a different phase in her life, capturing moments of boldness, reinvention, and exploration.

Her willingness to embrace change and take risks with her hair makes her a style icon and a source of inspiration for many. For fans looking to emulate her fearless hair transformations, it’s important to consider the upkeep and care that comes with such changes.

Hair health can be compromised with frequent dyeing and drastic cuts, so it’s crucial to follow a proper hair care routine. Regular conditioning treatments, minimizing heat styling, and using color-safe products can help maintain the integrity and health of the hair.

D’Amelio’s approach to hair also underscores a broader message about self-expression and confidence. By constantly changing her look, she sends a powerful message about the importance of personal style and the freedom to reinvent oneself.

Whether she’s rocking a buzz cut or long, flowing locks, she carries each style with confidence and grace. Looking back, her hair journey has been nothing short of spectacular. From the days of contemplating a buzz cut in sixth grade to confidently showcasing it to millions of fans, her story is one of courage and self-discovery.

Each transformation, whether a subtle change in color or a drastic cut, tells a part of her story. As she continues to evolve and try new styles, one thing remains clear: Dixie D’Amelio’s hair journey is a testament to her boldness and creativity.

Her ability to embrace change and view it as a fun and expressive part of life is something that resonates with many. Fans can undoubtedly look forward to more exciting transformations in the future as she continues to inspire with her ever-evolving hairstyles.

Meet Rivington Starchild – Actress Taylour Paige's Husband

Taylour Paige, whose full name is Taylour Dominique Paige-Angulo, has emerged as a multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry, seamlessly blending her skills in acting and dance. Growing up in the vibrant culture of Los Angeles, Paige honed her dance skills at the Westside Ballet Academy before becoming a member of the Los Angeles Lakers’ cheerleading squad, the Laker Girls. This early exposure to the spotlight laid a solid foundation for her subsequent ventures into acting and music.

Paige first captured audiences’ attention with her role as Ahsha Hayes in the VH1 sports drama series Hit the Floor (2013–2016). Her portrayal of the ambitious and talented dancer navigating the complexities of professional cheerleading resonated with viewers and showcased her dynamic range as an actress. This breakout role set the stage for her continued success in the film industry.

Her career reached new heights with her acclaimed performance in the 2020 crime film Zola, where she played the title role. The film, based on a viral Twitter thread, earned her the Independent Spirit Award for Best Female Lead, cementing her status as a rising star.

Paige’s roles in Jean of the Joneses (2016), White Boy Rick (2018), Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom (2020), and Boogie (2021) further demonstrated her versatility and dedication to her craft. In 2024, she continued to expand her filmography with a significant role in Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.

In addition to her acting achievements, she ventured into the music industry in 2022, collaborating with Kendrick Lamar on the track “We Cry Together.” The song’s success, reaching No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning a Grammy Award nomination, highlighted her ability to transcend mediums and connect with audiences on multiple levels.

Who is Taylour Paige’s husband Rivington Starchild?

Taylour Paige’s fashion designer husband Rivington Starchild was born in Queens, New York City, in 1984. His early years were filled with the typical American experiences of brand-name cereals, Saturday morning cartoons, and celebrating American holidays.

However, his life took a dramatic turn when, at the age of nine, his stepfather moved the family to the Dominican Republic. Adjusting to this new life was challenging, as he had to wear a uniform to Colegio La Zurza and adapt to a culture and language that, while familiar from home, felt different in this new setting.

Despite the cultural shock, Starchild made the best of his new environment, but he always felt a strong connection to his American roots, particularly his identity as a New Yorker. He spent his school years in the Dominican Republic but eagerly looked forward to his summer and Christmas vacations in New York City. These trips reinforced his deep love for the city and its vibrant culture, from the music of Nas and Wu-Tang Clan to the styles seen in magazines like The Source and Vibe.

After returning to New York, he became immersed in the city’s unique cultural landscape. He felt a strong pull towards the streets where his father once thrived, even visiting the Lower East Side to learn more about his roots. This search for identity and belonging led him to meet Clayton Patterson, a renowned photographer known for documenting the city’s diverse and often gritty street life. Through Patterson, he found a mentor and friend who shared his fascination with New York’s underground culture.

Embracing his New York heritage, Starchild formed a band called DAMEHT, dedicated to capturing the essence of the city’s cultural movements. His work with Patterson Patterson deeply influenced his artistic vision, helping him to express the spirit of New York through music and daily life.

In recent years, Paige’s husband has channeled his creative energy into the fashion industry as the creator of the streetwear design brand RRR 123. In 2019, he transitioned from his career as a rock ‘n’ roll singer under the name Rivington Starchild to launch this innovative streetwear label. Drawing inspiration from his experiences growing up in New York City and living in Los Angeles, his designs reflect a blend of urban grit and West Coast flair.

RRR 123, which stands for RIVINGTON roi Rebis, offers a variety of oversized hoodies and tees adorned with bold graphics. The collection captures the essence of the streets, influenced by the eclectic culture and vibrant energy of his hometown, NYC, and the laid-back, artistic vibes of LA.

For her wedding day, Paige wore a stunning white fishtail gown that accentuated her elegant figure. She complemented her dress with a braided hairstyle, adding a touch of sophistication to her bridal look. Her co-star from Hit The Floor, Logan Browning, shared images of the joyous occasion on social media, showing Paige radiant and happy, carrying a bouquet of white and yellow flowers.

Browning’s caption, “She is good,” reflected the heartfelt sentiment of the day.

Starchild, on the other hand, looked dashing in a dark tuxedo and bow tie, complete with a black hat that showcased his distinctive fashion sense. The couple’s wedding attire beautifully blended classic elegance with their personal flair, making the event memorable and stylish.

Paige expressed her overwhelming joy and gratitude on her Instagram Stories the day after the wedding.

Britnee Kellogg Releases New Music Video with Empowering Women

Britnee Kellogg is a talented country music singer who gained fame due to her appearance in seasons 11 and 12 of American Idol. Recently, she released the music video for ‘She’s Come a Long Way,’ which not only has good music but also good lyrics and a powerful message.

She premiered the music exclusively through People’s magazine and the music video included powerful women from her home state of Oregon who have made their way through extreme challenges.

Kellogg collaborated with Autumn McEntire on this song, who ironically turned out to be the niece of the person she idolizes the most. In a recent interview with People, she mentioned, “Reba McEntire is the love of my life. She’s the first cassette tape I ever owned. She has always been a huge inspiration for me musically.”

It was like fate that she met Autumn a few years back and got to work with her. “When I first met her several years ago, I knew her last name was McEntire, but that’s kind of a common last name,” says Kellogg.

She continues the conversation by saying, “I guess I never asked her until she posted something about having a cut on her aunt’s record and I was like, ‘Excuse me, you never told me this?!’ It made me respect her even more that she doesn’t go around bragging that she’s Reba’s niece. I think that says a lot about her character.”

The women in Britnee Kellogg’s ‘She’s Come a Long Way’

The music video for ‘She’s Come a Long Way’ started with a woman introducing herself as 44-year-old Alexis, who is currently a senior director of Accounting. She also revealed that she’s a mother of 5 children and a breast cancer survivor.

The video then went on to introduce other powerful women, like 30-year-old Erica, a nurse who is in high demand. Then, Nikki was introduced, a 49-year-old layout engineer who survived a life-changing injury.
