Erin Moriarty is an American actress who was born and raised in New York City. She began acting at the young age of 11 when she played Annie in a community theater production of Annie in 2005. She even skipped college to pursue acting professionally after graduating from high school.

At present, she is best known for her performance as Annie January / Starlight in Amazon Prime Video’s superhero flick The Boys. The critically acclaimed series follows a group of vigilantes attempting to take down a team of superheroes.

After the third season of The Boys was released, viewers noticed that Moriarty looked a bit thin and different. Netizens immediately concluded that she had chosen the path of plastic surgery and that her thin looks might be due to weight loss.

One fan even took to their Twitter handle to express their concern about Moriarty’s weight loss, as they wrote, “Erin Moriarty has 100% lost too much weight in season 3 of #TheBoys I am concerned. #starlight.”

Speaking more of the plastic surgery rumors, people began to accuse the actress of having undergone a nose job, shaved down her jawline, botox, and breast enhancements. And while it’s possible that the changes might be due to her aging, it also doesn’t explain such vast and visible changes.

Some have assumed that she has undergone botox to change her appearance subtly. And while some like her new look, some disagree because they think her face was altered far too much by botox and surgery.

Similarly, while some fans doubt that she has had nose surgery and other cosmetic modifications, others say it is simply the result of makeup and lighting. At the same time, many followers blame her transformations on Hollywood pressures and unattainable beauty standards.

The before and after images of Moriarty have been spreading on social media, mainly on Reddit and Twitter. There, people have been discussing her physical change.

For instance, a fan tweeted that the actress looked “weird” since she underwent “needless plastic surgery.” The fan added, “She cant even blink her eyes right.. its [expletive] strange.”

Another chimed, “I can’t believe erin moriarty got surgery to look like how she’s going to naturally look in like 10 years. Are these young female celebrities thinking at all??? [sic]”

Erin Moriarty has not addressed any rumors about her

Moriarty has not made any statements in response to rumors that she has had a face surgery or weight loss. Her new appearance might result from weight loss as she has always been active in fitness, but it doesn’t justify the big changes.

There might be a possibility that she underwent plastic surgery but has been keeping those details away from the public. Besides, Celebrity Post also claims that 75% of experts agree Moriarty has undergone plastic surgery treatments.

Likewise, Dr. Anthony Youn, aka America’s holistic plastic surgeon, had also taken the time to go through Moriarty’s alleged plastic surgery rumors on his YouTube channel. In his video, he said, “One of Erin’s facial characteristics is that her face is relatively round.”

“She has a nice jawline. Her eyebrows are not super harsh. And she has a small nose, maybe with a tiny bump on top of it,” Dr. Youn added. After that, he compared pictures of Moriarty from 2016 and 2022, but it only resulted in conflicting answers.

Upon the comparison, Dr. Youn found that there were some changes, proving the actress might have gone under the knife. But then, he confessed that her eyebrows and jawline look the same in some of her pictures from 2016 as they do now.

And while this doesn’t prove that Moriarty has done any plastic surgery, it also doesn’t conclude that she hasn’t done any plastic surgery.

As Dr. Youn continued, he said, “I do think it’s possible that she may have had a touch of botox recently and that can create some arching of her eyebrows. But, honestly, when I watch her on the show The Boys, I don’t really see any signs of botox at all.”

“Those people saying that she has had some major changes to her jawline, I think that they are just plain wrong,” he added. After that, he mentioned that while the actress hasn’t likely gotten a lip filler, she might have received rhinoplasty.

“It does look like a tiny bump on the top of her nose may have been shaved off. It is possible that her nose may have been narrowed very slightly,” he stated.

Dr. Youn then moved to Moriarty’s cheeks and said, “It does appear that her cheeks may have been a bit lifted or filled out. This can be due to some very subtle injections of filler into her cheeks.”

With that all said, it’s still yet to be proven that Moriarty has undergone plastic surgery or weight loss. Speaking of weight loss, as the actress appeared lean in The Boys season 4, her fans also assumed that she might have an eating disorder and was concerned about her health.

Moriarity has neither confirmed that she suffers from any form of the eating condition. Reports claim she has kept her figure by maintaining a nutritious diet and regularly exercising. It’s said that she favors protein-rich foods such as oats and nutrient-dense fruits for her breakfast.
