Emma Corrin’s Weight Loss — Do They Have Eating Disorder?

Inside Emma Corrin’s weight loss rumors.

Published

on

Emma Corrin is an English actor best known for their role as Princess of Wales, Diana, in the fourth season of Netflix period drama, The Crown.

Corrin was critically acclaimed for their role, with many claiming it was like seeing the late princess on screen. They portrayed the phase of Princess Diana right after her marriage to Prince Charles (now King) and the struggles she faced.

One of the struggles was incredible weight loss, eating disorders, and bulimia. Since Corrin was the one who portrayed the late princess, many believed that they also went through weight loss and had eating disorders.

Here is all we know about it.

Emma Corrin’s weight loss

Corrin has not opened up about their weight loss or eating disorder. Similarly, they have never mentioned if they had bulimia or any other form of eating disorder to date.

Regardless, many believe that Corrin went through a weight loss journey. In retrospect, this might be because the actor often wears chest binders.

They are used to tightly wrap around one’s chest to flatten their breast. In July 2021, Corrin took to Instagram to share a couple of photos of them in a chest binder.

They shared about using chest binders a couple of months after revealing that they identified as non-binary and queer while using the pronouns they/them.

They wrote, “@sirdavidsimon, we used boxing wrap, thanks for capturing this with me, very intimate, very new, very cool. It’s all a journey right. Lots of twists and turns and change and that’s ok! Embrace it.”

Since then, Corrin has looked a bit skinnier, but it can not be credited to an incredible weight loss. Similarly, they often wear androgynous outfits, which helps them look smaller than they are.

Emma Corrin left modeling because of their weight

Before Corrin started their journey in the entertainment industry as an actor, they were a model.

The actor, who is a graduate of Cambridge University, revealed to the blog Cambridge Girl Talk (via Hello Magazine) in 2018 that they were asked to wear a pair of breeches during London Fashion Week in 2016. However, they could not fit them over their calf muscles because they were a runner.

Corrin explained how the designer was disappointed and claimed they were not used to people who worked out as models.

“The designer looked surprised and embarrassed as he said, ‘Sorry, it’s just we’re not used to girls who exercise’, implying that the models he was expecting dieted themselves in order to fit into his clothes. I could have slapped him,” they said.

This really hurt Corrin and had a huge effect on her. They spoke candidly on the topic and said, “Why did the rejection of the modeling industry get to me so much?”

Corrin had always prided themselves and had a self-confidence that crumbled when they faced that rejection. “I think the answer is that these rejections were based on how I looked and I had always prided myself on a healthy amount of self-confidence which I was now rapidly losing,” they said.

As a result, Corrin gave up on the modeling industry. But thankfully, they are well accepted in the acting industry, where they have portrayed some of the most iconic roles in movies and TV shows, like Marion Taylor in My Policeman and Princess Diana in The Crown.

Uncover the Truth behind Laura Linney’s Real-Life Smoking Habit

American actress Laura Linney has graced the entertainment industry for over two decades, embodying a rich tapestry of characters, some of whom are depicted smoking on screen.

Notably, in the movie Primal Fear, Linney is seen puffing a cigarette in a scene. This prompted speculation among fans and followers regarding whether her on-screen smoking was purely fictional or indicative of a real-life smoking habit.

Does Laura Linney smoke in real life?

In the film Primal Fear, as previously noted, Linney’s character was depicted as a smoker. She was seen puffing on cigarettes a total of 11 times throughout the movie.

Interestingly, the actress not only portrayed this smoking habit on screen but also indulged in it off-screen during that period.

During a revealing interview with her co-star James Naughton, it came to light that Linney went to great lengths to prepare for her role in Primal Fear. She conducted thorough research, which involved shadowing a real-life prosecutor.

Remarkably, the actress immersed herself so deeply in this process that she successfully absorbed the essence and values of the prosecutor she observed. Linney didn’t stop there; she took it a step further by adopting the prosecutor’s habits and mannerisms, including her smoking habit.

Later, during an interview with Hollywood in 2015, Linney revealed that she had previously smoked marijuana but ultimately chose to abstain from it because of the intense paranoia it triggered in her.

The actress admitted to experimenting with the drug on only two occasions in her life, yet each experience left her gripped by a visceral fear of impending doom. She candidly recounted the intense reactions she endured, describing a terrifying sensation of impending death that overshadowed both encounters.

Linney’s concern wasn’t just for herself; she genuinely worried about her mother, imagining the distressing thought of her waking up to the news of her daughter’s drug-related tragedy in the headlines.

Additionally, she received a similar honor from Juilliard in 2009 when she delivered the school’s commencement address. Following this recognition, Laura officially commenced her acting career with minor roles in several early 1990s films, such as Lorenzo’s Oil, Searching for Bobby Fischer, and Dave.

Likewise, in 2000, the actress took on a notable role in Kenneth Lonergan’s film You Can Count on Me, where she starred alongside Mark Ruffalo and Matthew Broderick.

Dina Shihabi recently became a mother

Earlier this year, Shihabi posed for the cover of Vogue Arabia’s Saudi issue, elegantly showcasing her burgeoning baby bump.

She said, “It felt very natural to me to have a baby and a decision that has brought more love into my life than I ever could have imagined. I have so much more to give now as a woman, partner, mother, and artist.”

Despite her openness about embracing this new chapter, Shihabi has chosen to keep the identity of her baby’s father undisclosed, maintaining a veil of mystery around her personal life.
