That said, it’s presently unknown how and when the now-married couple first met each other, as well as how long they dated before tying the knot. Nonetheless, his 2015 interview with The Independent revealed they had dated for a long time before their wedding.

Finally, after committing to a relationship for such a long time, Lloyd-Hughes and Swash decided it was time to make their togetherness official. On September 20, 2014, the lovebirds walked down the aisle and shared the wedding vows.

Since their wedding, their bond has only strengthened, and they are closer than ever. Similarly, in their marriage of over a decade, they are blessed with two children, and as per reports, both of them are daughters.

Speaking about his children and family, Lloyd-Hughes told The Gentleman’s Journal in April 2020 that he cannot semi-commit to any roles or projects as he has got kids to parent, and a marriage that he needs to be a part of.

He stated, “I re-decorated the entire place. And that was day one of my career. I really laid down a marker for mis-guided commitment. I’m sure there is a lesson there in not losing your marbles…But I can’t semi-commit.”

“I’m trying to run a fashion company. I’ve got children that I need to parent. And a marriage that I need to be part of. So once I’m on set, I’m truly one hundred percent committed,” he concluded his statement.

Besides that, there is little to no information available about the actor’s kids. He doesn’t like to share many details about his personal life and has kept his children out of the limelight. As a result, the names of his children as well as other details remain unknown.

Coming back to Lloyd-Hughes and his wife, the actor occasionally takes to his Instagram handle to share pictures alongside his spouse and often praises his wife’s beauty. For instance, on February 15, 2023, he posted some pictures with Swash.

Later that year, on September 20, he marked their ninth wedding anniversary with a couple of sweet selfies and a caption that read, “9 years married to my favourite human. You just get better and better,” followed by a sending kiss emoji.

More recently, Lloyd-Hughes revealed that he and his wife, along with their kids, have moved from their home in England to New York. The revelation came during his Instagram post on June 28, 2025, where he wished her a happy birthday and praised her for the big move.

“Happy Birthday to this beautiful human who had the audacity to up sticks and move her whole life and two children to New York this year. We all salute your undeniable awesomeness. Love you xx,” he wrote in the caption.

Lloyd-Hughes’ wife, Rosie Swash, is an award-winning journalist who is currently working remotely as an Editor for Mill Media. She joined the company in April 2025, probably around the time she moved to New York.

Before working as a freelance Editor, Swash had a very reputable job as the senior editor and reporter at The Guardian. She had joined the media outlet in January 2007 as a culture journalist and editor, and climbed through the ranks multiple times.

She was first promoted to the position of an Assistant News Editor in January 2015, then to Senior News Editor in August 2018, and then to Deputy Editor in April 2021, before finally getting promoted to a Senior Editor and Reporter in January 2023.

In total, Swash devoted almost 18 years of her career to The Guardian. While working at The Guardian, she also worked as a freelance Radio Broadcaster for BBC, and before all this, she worked as a part-time Editorial Assistant at The Observer UK.
