Is Jordyn Woods Engaged? Inside Her Dating History with Boyfriend Karl-Anthony Towns

Jordyn Woods and her boyfriend, Karl-Anthony Towns, have been together since 2020.

Since they have been together for over three years, many have been wondering if the duo has any plans of getting married. As a result, they often question, “Is Jordyn Woods engaged?” and “Did Jordyn Woods get an engagement ring?”

Despite being together with her partner for many years, Woods and Towns have not gotten engaged. That said, there were rumors of their engagement in October 2023, when Woods was seen sporting a massive ring. But the rumors haven’t been confirmed yet.

Similarly, they haven’t said anything regarding their plans of getting married. However, by looking at their relationship, Towns might present Woods with an engagement ring soon in the future. This is because both of them are very candid about their relationship and often gush about how much they love each other.

Additionally, they have been through a lot in their relationship and are each other’s ride-or-die. As a result, their dating history has been so far so good. Therefore, it won’t be a surprise if Woods and her boyfriend get engaged or married in the near future.

It is unknown when Woods and Towns met. However, it is reported that they were introduced by a mutual friend many years before they started dating.

Throughout the years, they started developing feelings for each other and, hence, started dating in May 2020. Talking about their dating history, Towns said on Regular-ish, “Me and Jordyn met years ago knowing common people and just became friends.”

“And ever since then, our relationship grew where we became more than friends. I’m not saying in that way, but just best friends. And then we started having a deeper relationship.” he added.

COVID-19 brought a lot of challenges to the duo, which forced them to make their choices — either be friends or be in a relationship. They chose the latter, and they have been together ever since.

Four months into their relationship, Woods made it official on Instagram with a series of photographs of herself and her new boyfriend snuggling up on the beach in synchronized Versace swimwear.

Likewise, the two were together in Mexico to celebrate Woods’ 23rd birthday. She later posted some glimpses shared with her partner on Instagram and wrote the caption, “I found you, then I found me.”

Towns also posted similar photos on his personal Instagram handle with the caption, “There are darknesses in life, and there are lights, and you are one of the lights, the light of all lights.”

Since then, the duo have been together and often share photos of each other on their social media. That said, there have also been several ups and downs in their relationship as well.

However, as they were friends before they started dating, it has helped them navigate their relationship.

Towns said, “I think we were open in our admiration for each other on Instagram, social media … But take the Hollywood part, there’s going to be trials and tribulations.”

“There’s going to be times where we’re extremely mad at each other but we have to choose if we’re going to put our love for each other first or we’re going to put our egos first,” he added.

The couple have also bonded over losing their parents. Woods’ father, John, died of cancer in 2017, while Towns’ mother, Jacqueline, passed away in 2020 after battling COVID-19. 

Both of Towns’s parents tested positive for COVID-19 in 2020. She was brought to the hospital and placed in a medically induced coma. 

Unfortunately, she died on April 13, 2020, at the age of 58. Towns later said that he lost six additional family members to COVID-19 in 2020.

During an appearance on Facebook Watch’s chat program Peace of Mind with Taraji, Towns spoke with presenters Taraji P. Henson and Tracie Jade about his connection with Woods and how his late mother may have had a role in it.

Towns started dating Woods shortly after his mother’s death and said, “A woman that meant so much to me in my life left my life to be replaced by another woman who took that spot.” 

“I feel, in a way, when my mom passed, she’s like, ‘I’m not going to leave you alone. I’m going to make sure you know who you are supposed to be with,” he said, talking about his partner. He noted that he and Woods could identify with one other’s pain over the loss of a parent.

“You know she lost her father four years ago I believe. So I leaned on her because she’s one of those only people who actually knew how I was feeling and what I was going through,” he stated.

All in all, Woods and Towns are always there for each other during their hardest as well as happiest times.

Who is Jordyn Woods’ boyfriend?

Towns, better known by his initials KAT, is a Dominican-American professional basketball player for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Towns was born in Edison, NJ on November 15, 1995. He was born to an African-American father, Kar, and a Dominican mother, Jacqueline. He was raised in Piscataway, New Jersey, and attended Lake Nelson Seventh-Day Adventist School before moving to Theodore Schor Middle School from Our Lady of Fatima School in 2009. 

At Theodore Schor, he reclassified and repeated seventh grade to obtain an additional year of growth. Towns’ father played basketball at Monmouth University and coached at Piscataway Technical High School, where the young Towns practiced with the junior varsity team in fifth grade.

He played collegiate basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats. The Minnesota Timberwolves picked him as the first overall choice in the 2015 NBA draft, and he went on to be voted NBA Rookie of the Year for the 2015-16 season. 

He has three All-Star selections. Towns also won the 2021-22 NBA Three-Point Contest. Since then, he has been named an NBA All-Star three times: in 2018, 2019, and 2022. In addition, he was named NBA Rookie of the Year in 2016.

He was also named the Gatorade National Player of the Year in 2014. He has been representing the Dominican Republic internationally since 2012. Furthermore, he made his debut for his country in the Centrobasket in 2012, when he was sixteen.
