Isabela Moner, professionally known as Isabela Merced since 2019, is an American actress and singer.

She is best known for portraying CJ Martin in the Nickelodeon television series 100 Things to Do Before High School and Kate in the Nickelodeon animated spinoff series Dora and Friends: Into the City! 

She has starred in films such as Transformers: The Last Knight, Instant Family, Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Dora and the Lost City of Gold, and Sweet Girl.

After her family’s Cleveland home was destroyed by fire, Merced began acting. She was a Judy Garland enthusiast, so her parents asked her if she wanted to apply for a local production of The Wizard of Oz to distract her from her grief. 

She agreed and was cast in the role of a Munchkin. A local theatre director encouraged the family to come to New York City to help her seek a career on Broadway, which they did. 

At the age of 10, Merced made her Broadway debut in a rendition of Evita, in which she sang in Spanish with Ricky Martin. In September 2015, she released Stopping Time, an album produced by Broadway Records. 

From 2014 to 2016, Merced starred as CJ Martin, the primary character on the Nickelodeon television series 100 Things to Do Before High School. That same year, she began delivering the voice of Kate, one of the major characters in Dora and Friends: Into the City!, a job she held from 2014 until 2017.

In 2015, she played Lori Collins in the Nickelodeon Original Movie Splitting Adam, and in 2016, she played Sadie, one of the key characters in the Nickelodeon Original Movie Legends of the Hidden Temple. Merced was cast in the film Transformers: The Last Knight in May 2016, which was released in June 2017.

She played Heather in The Nut Job 2: Nutty by Nature, which was released in theatres on August 11, 2017. Merced had a major role in Sicario: Day of the Soldado in 2018, playing the daughter of a drug cartel leader, and her performance was praised by reviewers. 

In the same year, she portrayed the adoptive daughter of Mark Wahlberg and Rose Byrne’s characters in the comedy film Instant Family, for which she also composed and sang the song ‘I’ll Stay.’ 

Merced appeared as the titular character in Dora and the Lost City of Gold, a live-action film version of the cartoon series, and was cast in the Christmas romance comedy ensemble film Let It Snow.

The same year, she was cast opposite Jason Momoa in Netflix’s Sweet Girl. 

Her debut song ‘Papi’ was released on October 25, 2019, followed by her first music video on November 6, 2019. She released her debut EP, The Better Half of Me, on May 22, 2020, and was selected as one of Billboard’s top 15 new Peruvian musicians to listen to in July 2020.

It was reported in March 2022 that Merced will feature in Turtles All the Way Down, a film version of John Green’s 2017 novel, which would begin production in April 2022. She joined the cast of Fede lvarez’s Alien: Romulus in March 2023. 

Merced was cast as Hawkgirl in the DC Universe (DCU) film Superman: Legacy (2025) in July 2023. Similarly, it was recently announced that she would portray the role of Anya Corazon in Madame Web.
