Caity Lotz is an American actress, dancer, and singer who rose to fame after she portrayed the character of Sara Lance/White Canary in the DC Comics TV series Arrow and, later, in its spin-off Legends of Tomorrow.
Talking about her personal life, Lotz, 36, married her now-husband Kyle Schmid, 38, on February 11, 2023. The Flash alum informed her fans about their marriage on Valentine’s Day of 2023.
She posted a photo where she was sharing a kiss with Schmid. In the captions, she wrote, “My husband.”
The wedding was an intimate affair, with just close friends and family members in attendance, as per Brides Magazine’s coverage of the event, which the outlet recently shared about the newlyweds’ wedding.
More about Caity Lotz and Kyle Schmid’s wedding
The Stalker star and Big Sky actor’s wedding was a destination wedding in Cartagena, Colombia.
Caity and Schmid invited 50 of their closest family and friends and worked with planner Daniela Lopera to create an itinerary for their guests. The schedule included a welcome party, a boat excursion, a rehearsal dinner, a post-wedding brunch, and the actual wedding.
Schmid wore a white silk dinner jacket with black tuxedo pants, accessorizing with a gold chain given to him by Lotz. He said that he had fun designing his looks, down to the button stitching and shoes, and that he found it hard to wear anything else after experiencing how a suit is meant to fit.
Similarly, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown at her wedding, which took a lot of trying on different dresses before finding “The One.” She wanted something extra and a moment to remember, which is not typical of her usual low-key style.

“I didn’t want a simple dress. I wanted something extra. It needed to be a moment. I’m usually a low-key, go-for-comfort person, but not on my wedding day. That day, we go for gold,” Lotz gushed.
And for the wedding, the bride and groom each wrote their own vows for the ceremony. “I think there is something so romantic about writing your own vows,” said Lotz.
“To take the time to really think about the promise and commitments you want to make to your partner, and to be able to stand in front of all your friends and family and tell your partner how amazing they are and what they mean to you,” she added.
After Brides Magazine shared details about the wedding, the Supergirl actress also shared some new wedding photos with her fans through Instagram. In the pictures, both the couple were shedding tears.
In the caption, Lotz wrote, “I am not crying you’re crying.” She also praised the magazine as she penned, “@brides did a wonderful feature with all the details.”
Caity Lotz and Kyle Schmid met through a common friend
Lotz met Schmid while shooting the Legends of Tomorrow in Vancouver.
“I was telling my friend how I finally felt like I was ready to start dating. She told me about her husband’s friend who was in town filming. [On] February 21, 2021, we did a quick coffee double date and the rest is history!” she shared with the Brides.
Lotz was rumored to be gay/lesbian at some instant as there was speculation that she was dating Pitch Perfect actress Ruby Rose.
However, the rumors vanished with The Machine actress dating her Arrow co-star, Schmid. The couple announced their engagement in May 2022.
Schmid shared the moments from their engagement in an Instagram post expressing his love for his then-fiancee on May 7, 2022. “The sun rises and sets with you. The moon and the stars have never shone so brightly. You are the love of my life,” he captioned the post.
