French film director Arthur Harari and Justine Triet have been in a romantic relationship for over twenty years, yet they have not formalized their commitment through marriage.
Harari and Triet have not disclosed the exact date or details of their first meeting, but they collaborated professionally for the first time in 2013. Triet wrote and directed the comedy-drama Age of Panic, in which Harari starred as Arthur.
In an interview with Film Doo, Triet discussed the creative process behind the Age of Panic and Victoria. She unveiled a fascinating aspect of their production, revealing how both films were meticulously crafted in continuity, with subtle echoes and recurring motifs seamlessly woven throughout.
Likewise, the duo co-wrote the 2019 comedy-drama film Sibyl, which Triet directed, and the 2023 thriller Anatomy of a Fall. The couple unveiled insights into their joint project in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
They disclosed that the screenplay for the film was crafted collaboratively during the Covid-19 pandemic while they navigated lockdown restrictions in Paris.
