American actress Kristen Stewart was born to her parents, John Stewart and Jules Mann-Stewart, who are involved in the entertainment industry.
Kristen’s mother, Jules worked as a script supervisor and has an impressive portfolio, including films like Jingle All The Way, Little Giants, and Noah. She has also taken on the roles of writer and director for her project, K-11.
On the other hand, her father, John served as a stage manager and has been involved in managing events such as The Grammys red carpet, The Oscars red carpet, and The Golden Globes.
Despite both of Kristen’s parents having connections in the entertainment industry, they never pressured her to pursue a career in acting. Kristen shared in an interview with Vanity Fair that her mother played a supportive role by driving her to auditions.

However, Jules expressed reservations about her entering the industry, cautioning her, “I work with these kids—they’re crazy people. You’re not one of them.”
Continuing, Kristen added that she finds it awkward when her father boasts about her fame, saying, “My dad is a total fame (explicit). He will go anywhere, even if I am not with him, and he will go ‘Hi, I’m John Stewart, father of Kristen. Have you ever seen Twilight? Well, that’s my kid.’ I am like, ‘Dad, we’re on a plane, keep your voice down!”
Kristen Stewart shares a close bond with her parents
Kristen has been frequently spotted with her dad in public, showcasing a close and affectionate bond between them. For instance, during Thanksgiving in 2013, she was captured alongside her father outside their family home in Los Angeles.
She wore her signature sunglasses in the snapshot and sported the Mercenarie trucker hat. Additionally, she proudly revealed her new arm tattoo.
Likewise, in March 2014, the actress was spotted at Beauty & Essex restaurant in NYC for a night dinner date with her father and another woman. The actress was dressed casually in a T-shirt, jeans, and glasses.
According to E! News, they were engaged in casual and relaxed conversations throughout the entire night at Beauty & Essex. They savored the restaurant’s favorites, including the Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup Dumplings.
The source also mentioned that the group ordered the eatery’s signature cocktail, The Masterly Touch. However, Stewart had a more specific preference in mind and requested a spicy vodka beverage.
The actress not only made public appearances with her father but also talked about him on various platforms. In an interview with NDTV, she expressed, “My dad is pretty awesome; he is a bit of a legend. He has a lot of pride and is very vocal about it.”
She added, “He’s a bit of a social butterfly, talks a lot to people, and a lot of the time, it’s about me. I’m like, Dad, you’ve got to chill; no one cares as much as you!”
However, Kristen has not been frequently seen in public with her mother, but this does not diminish the special bond they share. In 2012, Kristen bought a $4.8 million home in her mother’s name, underscoring their close relationship.

Likewise, the actress’ mother has been a steadfast supporter of her daughter. During an interview with Live Journal, when questioned about Kristen’s highly publicized relationship issues, Jules emphasized Kristen’s independence, stating, “My daughter is an adult, and she’s perfectly capable of running her own life.”
She also took proactive measures to safeguard her daughter’s privacy, including designing a garage-door entrance at Libertine for the actress to drive her car directly inside without being photographed.
Moreover, Jules openly embraced Kristen’s identity as a lesbian during an interview with Mirror. She expressed unequivocal support, stating, “What’s not to be accepting about her now having a girlfriend? She’s happy. She’s my daughter, I’m just her mom, so she knows I would accept her choices.”
She went on to share her positive impression of her daughter’s girlfriend, emphasizing acceptance and love. She highlighted her inclusive outlook, stating, “I feel like people need to be free to love whoever they want. I accept my daughter loves women and men.”
Kristen added, “It’s OK to be who you are in my world. We all choose our friends, so we should be free to choose our lovers. People are good to do whatever they like as long as they’re not hurting people or breaking the law.”
