Kate Middleton is Allegedly in a “Fragile Mental and Physical State”

Since March 2024, there have been a lot of speculations about Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.

Since her operation in January 2024, she has not made a proper public appearance. She has been photographed by the public in a few instances, but that has led netizens to believe that the person in such videos and photos is not Middleton.

Moreover, Middleton has not made a formal announcement, leading netizens to speculate a lot more about where she is at the moment. Recently, it has been allegedly said that she is in a fragile mental and physical state following her operation and the fiasco after that.

Royal writer Penny Junor, who wrote the book Charles: Victim or Villain, commented on the tremendous scrutiny Middleton was facing while she recovered from surgery. She argued that the Princess of Wales is more aware of the pressures of living in the royal limelight than ever before.

She claimed that Middleton was likely in a “fragile mental and physical state” and added that she must be “feeling absolutely miserable.” She noted that adding pressure on Middleton and Kensington Palace to make a statement was wrong.

“I do think we are in danger of bullying a lady who is trying to recover from a very serious operation,” she said.

Junor pointed out that Middleton’s Mother’s Day photo was taken to please royal fans. However, it gave fire to the allegations about Middleton, who quickly apologized for photoshopping the photo.

A few days later, Middleton was pictured in a vehicle with Prince William. However, the paparazzi photo did not capture her at her finest.

“She was photographed yesterday in the car with William (and) she didn’t look that happy. She must be under intense pressure whenever she’s going to be seen in public,” Junor commented.

In the end, Juror noted, “The pressure has doubled and redoubled. And I think she’s in a fragile mental and physical state, and we should lay off here.”

Despite her making such comments, Middleton and Kensington Palace have not released any statement regarding the Princess of Wales and her health.

The Kate Middleton conspiracy 

The conspiracy surrounding Middleton emerged in early 2024. At the time, the most recent public appearance was on December 25, 2023, at Sandringham for Christmas Day church services. 

Following this, on January 17, 2024, it was disclosed that she underwent planned abdominal surgery and would be hospitalized for 10 to 14 days, with Kensington Palace announcing her absence from public engagements until Easter. Prince William visited her in the hospital the following day. 

Then, on January 29, 2024, Kensington Palace announced her return to Windsor Castle for recovery, citing positive progress. As weeks passed without updates on Middleton’s health, speculation and memes began circulating. 

Some netizens suggested she underwent cosmetic procedures, while others speculated on her appearance changes. On March 4, 2024, Middleton was spotted in a car near Windsor Castle with her mother, Carole, marking her first public sighting since December 2023. 

Despite not being publicized by Kensington Palace or major UK news outlets, the photo stirred further scrutiny, with claims of alteration and doubts regarding Middleton’s identity. On March 5, 2024, the British Army briefly posted and then removed a report stating Middleton’s attendance at their annual Trooping the Colour event on June 8, 2024, adding to suspicions about her health. 

Five days later, on March 10, 2024, Kensington Palace released a Mother’s Day photo allegedly taken by Prince William, depicting Middleton with their children. The internet erupted with skepticism over the photo’s authenticity, citing apparent editing errors. 

By Sunday evening, major news agencies like AP and Reuters had retracted the photo due to doubts about its authenticity, despite not being confirmed as fake. Instagram also flagged the photo as altered.

On March 11, 2024, Middleton admitted to editing the photo and issued an apology, attributing it to her experimentation with photography. However, skepticism persisted among netizens, particularly as Middleton was pictured leaving Windsor Castle with Prince William but did not attend the traditional Commonwealth Day ceremony. 

On March 18, 2024, a person videotaped Middleton visiting a farm market near Windsor, conversing and smiling as she recovers from surgery, sparking widespread conspiracy theories. She is depicted looking well and back on her feet after stomach surgery in January 2024.

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, she went through the Windsor Farm Shop parking lot with her hair down, dressed in black sportswear with pink details and sneakers. She was joined by her husband, Prince William, dressed in jeans and a baseball cap. 

They went side by side, each carrying a shopping bag. The video was sold to The Sun newspaper and the US celebrity website TMZ.

Many royal observers believed that it would finally put an end to the swirling conspiracy rumors surrounding her health. Instead, conspiracists and internet trolls created even more hypotheses about the current video.

As of now, Middleton has not provided any further statements, leaving speculation about her situation and motives ongoing.
