American content creator Victoria Paris recently addressed one of her followers who chose to block and unfollow her after she shared a nude picture on Instagram.
To kick off the year 2024, Paris treated her followers to a series of pictures with the caption, “Tokyo for 2024.” Notably, the initial image featured her in the nude, capturing a candid moment as she brushed her teeth and snapped a mirror selfie.
Upon seeing the content creator’s New Year post, a wave of her fans decided to hit the unfollow button and even went as far as blocking her. The comments section was not spared either, as some individuals chose to express their disapproval with harsh words.
One critic deemed her as a “weird woman,” while another took a more explicit route, stating, (extremely derogatory) took me out,” accompanied by crying emojis.
Recently, Paris took a moment on Twitter to respond to a comment that criticized her as boring and weird, suggesting she’s merely a white girl attempting to manufacture an intriguing persona.
The remark implied she was forcing an idea of having some mysterious “lore,” especially by revealing her private parts. The criticism even extended to her choice of wearing an (explicit) Van Cleef necklace, which the commenter found embarrassing.
In response, the content creator with a touch of humor, stating, “I’m sorry; this genuinely made me laugh. I appreciate the think piece, but it wasn’t that deep.” Following her response, fans began to defend Paris.
For instance, one Twitter user wrote, “how dare they not know the story of the van cleef necklace i’m appalled,” while another mentioned that the upset fan shouldn’t have insulted Paris’ necklace, which was handed down to her by her mother.
Following Paris’s response, the gossip page The Tea Talk shared a screenshot of her replies, adding the caption, “Instagram slowly turning into Twitter.”
This post sparked a range of opinions from followers. One person commented, “She’s gonna be dropping her off now as well,” while another shared, “Lower angle on the first photo; just my creative choice.”
Despite the criticisms, several individuals stood up in defense. A social media user expressed, “She can show her body if she wants… women need to stop judging.”
