Season 28 of The Bachelor came to an end on March 25, 2024, after premiering on January 22, 2024.
Joey Graziadei, a 28-year-old teaching tennis professional from Royersford, Pennsylvania, competed this season after finishing second on the 20th season of The Bachelorette.
In the finale of The Bachelor, Graziadei had to choose between the two finalists, Daisy Kent and Kelsey Anderson. In the end, Graziadei chose Anderson and got engaged to her.
After Kent quit the show, Anderson walked to Graziadei who was waiting for her with a ring. Before he even saw her, he said, “It is her, and I’m 100 percent in.”
Anderson was dressed in white as she made her way to her partner. Graziadei held her hands and said, “I knew early on that there was something different about you, and I just wanted to learn more.”
“There is nothing difficult about choosing you, and I can’t wait another minute to tell you that I love you,” he confessed. “There is something about you. You have this infectious energy that makes me smile.”
He called her his light before getting down on one knee and asking Anderson to marry him.
The finale was full of emotional rollercoasters. For the first time, the two final ladies talked before the last rose ceremony and even shared the same ride to go to Graziadei.
Kent told Anderson not to be terrified and talked about their last date with Graziadei. Kent revealed that she felt something was missing, whereas Anderson confessed that she felt “a lot of validation.”
However, Kent knew that she was not the chosen one on her last date with Graziadei. She confessed to Graziadei that she loved him and said, “The truth is that I do love you, and I love you in a way that feels so natural and so uplifting. And I’m always going to support you and I do. I love you. And when I’m with you I feel so good.”
Graziadei said that it meant a lot to him but did not look interested. Kent noted, “He’s not talking about a potential future with us and I feel like he’s being, like, measured and careful.”
In the end, she said, “If I’m being 100 percent honest, I don’t think it’s me.” As a result, she walked out and quit while having a final talk with Graziadei.
He told her about their connection and talked about how she understood her. However, Kent cut him off and said, “I know that you came into my life for a reason. You showed me how important it is to know my worth.”
She revealed that she knew he was not going to choose her and pointed out, “Falling in love with you has been so fun, and I do love you. But the thing is, you’re not going to choose me.”
She cried a little and confessed that she knew for the last couple of days how Graziadei was not her person and she was not his. “And as much as that hurts, I know you said you want the best for me, so I’m going to do what’s best for me, and I’m going to go,” she stated.
Graziadei stated how Kent was special but it hurt him to know that he has “something special with someone else,” referring to Anderson. He said, “You deserve nothing but the best, and I really wish I was able to give it to you.”
He offered to walk her out, but Kent said no, claiming that it was something she should do on her own. As a result, she decided to quit the show with her head held high.
Like Kent’s speculation, Graziadei ended up choosing Anderson.
Since the duo got engaged in the finale episode of Season 28 of The Bachelors, they will get married in the near future and there a high chance that ABC will document their wedding as a part of the franchise.
