Gabbie Hanna is back, but not in the way netizens expected her to be.

She was one of the most controversial influencers and was canceled many times before she left the internet for good. Since then, many have been wondering how Hanna was.

She went offline in 2023, and up until now, people did not know where Hanna was and what she was doing. But on January 10, 2024, Lawrence County YMCA in Hanna’s hometown, New Castle, Pennsylvania, revealed that they had a new fitness coach.

It was none other than Hanna. They uploaded a video of Hanna where she was seen dancing. She introduced herself as their new fitness coach and said, “Your new instructor at the Lawrence County YMCA.”

While talking about exercise, she informed viewers that consistency and fun were key to meeting their fitness objectives.

In her introduction post, the gym stated that the former influencer adds “a burst of energy and passion to the studio” and would provide a dynamic range of classes, including Zumba, Ballet Body, and Stretch and Breathe.

As soon as the netizens knew what Hanna was up to now, they were happy for her and commented as such on the video uploaded by Lawrence County YMCA. Many noticed that Hanna being back in her hometown must have done good to her.

One netizen commented, “Gabbie, look at you go! You got this, and you also look great!” and another wrote, “Gabbie! Great to see you back in PA. I hope you’re healthy and happy and living your best life. You deserve it!”

Many were happy that she was healthy and that she looked amazing after her social media hiatus. They also hoped that they could join her classes and see her as a fitness coach.

One of the netizens gushed, “You look amazing & I am so proud of you! I wish I was a lawco local so I could come to your class!,” and another hoped that her classes would fill up saying, “GABS you look great, so healthy! Hope your classes fill up!!”

All in all, people are happy seeing Hanna now and the path she has chosen for herself. It looks like she shifted to her hometown while she was on a hiatus and is now on a path to recovery.

Unlike now, Hanna was a mess before 2023.

She originally rose to prominence in 2013 as a prominent creator for the now-defunct social media platform Vine. She then switched to YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

She later became a notable storytime maker on YouTube and a peripheral member of the once-famous “Vlog Squad.” She released a poetry book called Adultolescence in 2017 and her debut album Trauma Queen in 2022.

While Hanna has accomplished many things as a content creator in her own right, she is best known for the feuds she had with fellow influencers, including Trisha Paytas and Jessi ‘Smiles’ Vazquez.

She faced a lot of backlash for her content and statements. Many wanted her to get canceled, and there were petitions asking YouTube to delete Hanna’s channel.

In August 2022, fans got concerned for her as she uploaded 100 videos to her TikTok account in a single day. The videos’s themes varied from religion to death, prompting anxiety for her safety.

According to TMZ, cops were summoned to her home after several admirers requested a welfare check. The influencer has been open about her mental health struggles, including her diagnosis of bipolar illness.

In a now-deleted Tiktok video, she claimed, “Yes, I was manic. I am bipolar. I’ve talked about it, you can scroll back, it’s no secret I’m bipolar.”

“But I’ve never experienced a manic state, I’ve only ever experienced a hypomanic state, so that was actually a brand new thing for me that I was experiencing in real-time with all of you guys,” she added.

Since then, Hanna stayed off the internet. She has not posted on any of her social media handles since February 2023.

However, on March 15, 2023, she spoke on Prince Ea’s podcast Sauna Sessions, where she explained that her perspective on social media has shifted. She had erased all of the social applications from her phone and was considering permanently erasing her accounts.

She admitted, “I’m trying to work up the strength to actually delete. But I can’t figure out if that’s what I’m supposed to do or not. Specifically TikTok. Because I feel like TikTok is just like the cesspool the worst of the worst.”

She went on to claim that she now appreciates her privacy more than she did previously and is no longer interested in social media attention. As she shared on the podcast, Hanna was out of social media for almost a year — until now.

Even now, she is not back on her own platform but that of the Lawrence County YMCA’s Instagram as a fitness coach in her hometown. While many want a statement from the influencer, she has not addressed her comeback yet.
