Tom Sturridge and Girlfriend Alexa Chung Spark Engagement Rumors after Dating for a Year

The English actor Tom Sturridge and his girlfriend, Alexa Chung — a British blogger, are fueling engagement rumors after being in a relationship for a year. 

The couple were recently photographed taking a stroll in London’s Notting Hill. Many noticed the ring on Chung’s ring finger, leading to speculation about a possible engagement.

The 37-year-old actor opted for a casual look, wearing blue pants, a white T-shirt, a black jacket, black sunglasses, and black sneakers. 

Chung, known for her impeccable style, paired straight-leg jeans with an oversized, vintage-looking leather jacket, a white T-shirt, and a beige sweater. 

Despite confirming their romance at last year’s Wimbledon, the couple has chosen to keep their relationship relatively low-key, maintaining privacy and keeping details about their personal lives to themselves.

Rumors of a romance between Sturridge and Chung started to circulate after the two were spotted kissing at Wimbledon on July 3, 2022, seemingly confirming their relationship.

Interestingly, the pair were accompanied by Sturridge’s former fiancée Sienna Miller and Chung’s boyfriend, Oli Green, at the time.

This wasn’t the first time the pair were photographed together. They were captured together at Glastonbury 2022 and many viewers raised eyebrows as they walked through the field.

Tom Sturridge was previously engaged

Sturridge, known for his role in the series Sandman, was previously engaged to Miller, but their engagement came to an end after four years together.

Sturridge and Miller, who have a daughter named Marlowe Ottoline Layng, apparently broke up in July 2015. 

The news of their separation emerged when Sienna was spotted at a party in Cannes without her engagement ring, fueling speculation about their relationship. Following their split in 2015, it was claimed they had different goals.

A source said, “Tom wanted to get married and have more children. Sienna didn’t. This year everything exploded with Tom in London and Sienna leading a separate life in the US and [her appearance at] Cannes,” to the People.

Despite the split, Sturridge and Miller still hold love and respect for each other as friends and co-parents, emphasizing that it was an amicable breakup, as per The Sun via Mirror. 

The pair began dating in 2011, and the following year, it was revealed that she was pregnant with their first child. Their engagement was confirmed, and their daughter was born in July 2012. 

After two years of split, in 2017, Sturridge’s former fiancée, Miller, spoke openly about their breakup in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, saying that they “still love each other.”

She shared that despite the end of their engagement, there was no acrimony between them, and they still maintained a close bond. 

Miller revealed that they would take turns staying over at each other’s places or go on holidays together because they genuinely wanted to be in each other’s company.
