Variety initially reported that the singer was in talks to perform at the awards show, but the outlet later edited their report to state that she would not be taking the stage. 

The outlet initially said, “Swift is said to be in talks with the Grammys,” however, they later updated the viewers with news that she won’t be performing.

“Swift, Variety hears, will not perform,” the website wrote. This sudden change in plans has left many fans confused and disappointed who have been eagerly awaiting her performance. 

While the reasons for her absence are unclear, fans speculate that she may have other commitments or plans.

Nevertheless, her absence is sure to be felt at the event, as she has been a staple at the Grammys in recent years.

In addition to Harry Styles, other performers for the 2023 Grammy Awards include Bad Bunny, Mary J. Blige, Brandi Carlile, Luke Combs, Steve Lacy, Lizzo, and Sam Smith with Kim Petras.

After receiving four 2023 Grammy nominations, Swift took to Instagram Stories on November 15, 2022, to share another milestone amid the Ticketmaster fiasco.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter received four nominations, including Song of the Year and Best Music Video for ‘All Too Well,’ Best Country Song for ‘I Bet You Think About Me,’ and Best Song Written for Visual Media for ‘Carolina.’

She wrote, “So many reasons to lose my damn mind today but All Too Well 10 is the song I am the most proud of, out of anything I’ve written.”

The song ‘All Too Well’ 10-minute version is nominated for Song of the Year, an award Swift has yet to win.
