‘Stranger Things’ Star Noah Schnapp Getting Canceled for Liking Post Mocking Gaza

Stranger Things actor Noah Schnapp is getting canceled for liking a video that mocked the people of Gaza during the ongoing Israel vs Palestine war which has angered fans.

On November 5, 2023, Noa Tishby shared a video on Instagram that showed a fake YouTube news show where the hosts said, ‘Everyone is welcome, LGBTQH…’ with the H standing for Hamas.

The video further showed the hosts interviewing a freedom fighter in Gaza, calling Palestine “so welcoming and inclusive.”

Alongside the video, Tishby wrote, “A huge part of our Jewish culture is using humor to deal with trauma. It helps with the pain. Please enjoy these pro-Hamas college students on their journey to normalize a massacre.”

The clip has since garnered more than 80 thousand likes, one of which was of the famous actor Schnapp who played Will Byers in the Netflix series Stranger Things. 

A lot of people have criticized Schnapp for liking the video saying, “And thats why his career will die after stranger things.”

Another viewer added, “he was a loser before but now this is just a different type of disgusting.”

The next comment read, “disgusting…absolutely disgusting mocking the suffering of palestinians and not only that disrespectfully using arabic islamic words?”

A fan called out the actor, saying, “@noahschnapp disgusting!! Inhumane! Evil zionist! Genocide supporter.”

This is not the first time the young star received backlash for his statement on the Israel vs Palestine war. On October 11, 2023, he took to Instagram to share his opinions regarding the ongoing war.

He started by writing, “As a Jewish American, I am afraid. Afraid for my brothers and sisters in Israel, who have been senselessly attacked by Hamas.”

Furthermore, he expressed he was devastated to witness the “brutal” killings of innocent children, women, and soldiers and said he wanted “peace” for both Palestinians and Israelis.

The 19-year-old actor called on everyone to put an end to choosing sides, acknowledging that all people should be on the side of the fight against terrorism.

In the next slide, he then called out followers for their brutal comments. He noted that he had reposted a beautiful picture of a young innocent girl whose life was taken by Hamas at a music festival.

After posting the picture, he was met with violet comments, which made him outraged and outlined that being Israeli or Jewish has nothing to do with one’s ability to see that remarks of such kind are inappropriate.

He then made a strong statement declaring that “you either stand with Israel or you stand with terrorism,” saying that the choice shouldn’t be difficult.

The situation in Gaza has reached a tragic milestone, with a death toll exceeding 10,000, including a devastating number of children and women, according to the Palestinian health ministry.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed grave concern, describing Gaza as a “graveyard for children” and calling for an immediate ceasefire.

The alarming humanitarian situation in the region is highlighted by fuel shortages at essential hospitals and a lack of aid access.

Nonetheless, Israel has denied responsibility for a strike on Al-Shifa Hospital’s solar panel system. Amid ongoing violence, the UAE has announced plans to construct a field hospital in Gaza, and four Palestinians were killed in a West Bank raid.
